Everything Looking Up Ahead of the Two Biggest Games of the Season

Our next two games are for right now the two biggest games of the season. The FA Cup semi-final vs. Chelsea, and the Champions League quarter final vs. Villareal. Everything is pointing for us to win both.

A. We thrashed Wigan 4-1 away. I know it’s Wigan, but 4 goals away is 4 goals away

B. We have an away goal and we are playing at home

C. Senna, their captain and most important player, has been ruled out

D. Nasri, Adebayor and van Persie all got well deserved rests vs. Wigan, and should be fresh for Villareal

Now, for the Chelsea game pretty much only one thing: they conceded three goals at home against Bolton!!!!! And three of their goals were from set pieces!! Under Hiddink, Chelsea have only won by more than1 goal three times, against Newcastle, Middlesborough, and Liverpool in the CL. I think if we can put a goal or two past them it’s all over. We’re the better team. We have 11 players that can combine with each other and tear teams apart, as they have show in this run of umpteen something games unbeaten.

But the important thing right now is the Villareal game. We’re at home, we have the advantage, we’re on great form, and their are losing their key player. If we lose I’ll be seriously pissed. We haven’t lost at the Emirates in the Champions League EVER. We have no business to be losing to Villareal there.

I think we’ll line up like this:

—van Persie—Adebayor—

Nasri——————Walcott

——Fabregas–Denilson—–

Clichy———————Sagna

——Silvestre—Toure———

————Fabianski————-

I am completely comfortable with this line up, I’m going to say 2-0, or 3-0 to the Arsenal. No doubt about it. This week I hope I’ll be able to write a Chelsea preview and an article about who should play center midfield next year: Diaby, Denilson or Song.

This is such a rookie post….

  2. RedandDread says:

I think you forget that Clichy is OUT and he will probably play SONG with Fabregas in the middle! I think we will win the Villareal game – the Chelsea game is anybody’s guess………..injuries to our centre halves will mean our defense is severly weakened and Gibbs is not yet the finished article. I expect both games to be tight!!

    Reasons for apprehension
    A. Wigan could have been 3-0 up against us before we scored. Yes Wigan!!!
    B. Arshavin was the architect of our recovery & he can’t play
    C. We’ve lost Gallas, Djourou & Almunia in the imterim
    D. Senna is only ‘unlikely’ to play not ‘certainly out’ – I’ll only believe it’s not some kind of psychological ploy when they publish the team sheets

I still think we’ll win but not before I’ve bitten my finger nails down to my wrist.

I personally think that our best formation for the game against Villareal would be as follows,

    Fabianski

    Eboue Toure Sivestre Clichy

    Sagna

    Walcott Fabregas Denilson Nasri

    Adebayor or Van Persie

Eboue is far better than Sagna in the final third and just as good defending. Sagna is awesome at tackling and has pace but his long passing is not upto scratch, denilson the Brazilian could concentrate more on linking defence and midfield and the rest is self explanatory.

  5. Tariq says:

Doubt Clichy will make it,and for the rest of the season I’d prefer if Song was in either for Silvestre or Denilson.

  6. Lanesra89 says:

Yes the Gibbs thing is worrying, he should have gone yesterday without a doubt. however attacking wise if RVP and Ade are fit go with that as RVP can swop jobs with Nasri.. He could even use Eboue as left back!

  7. celluloidrealitys says:

I’ll be rip-roaring with happiness even if its 1-0 to The Arsenal for all three games.

  8. Ramgun says:

Gibbs was fouled yesterday and we should have been given the free-kick.

  9. piken79 says:

SILVESTRE is the worry for me, at this point I’ll take my grandmother over him, we can only hope djourou is well enough to play or song is used as CB…gibbs will be ok, I think but SILVESTRE is terrible..if he is on the teamsheet v chelsea..we lose, its that simple

  10. lil wayne says:

Call me crazy, but i think i’ll be quite comfortable with this line up.

    –Rvp———–Ade

    Nasri—————–Walcott

    —-Fabregas—Denilson

    Eboue—Song—-Toure—-Sagna

    —-Fabianski—–

  11. Urizen says:

I bet also for a 2-0 and I totally agree with that line up.

I haven’t got the time to post anything till now, but amazing work man.
