Ronaldo could move to Arsenal?

Arsenal are being linked with a summer move for Ronaldo Aparecido Rodrigues (Naldo), Werder Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf has hinted that centreback Naldo could join Arsenal this summer.

The 26-year-old Brazilian international earn the nickname ‘the beast’ for his imposing 6ft 5inch frame. is just what the Arsenal are lacking, Arsenal have been in need of a big powerful CB since Sol Campbell and Naldo could be the man to answer the defensive problems at Arsenal.

Thomas Schaaf said

“Naldo is a great athlete and could do well at the right club, unfortunately he doesn’t fit the direction we’re planning to move in any longer.

“We expect to move him for somewhere in the region of €10 million, and English side Arsenal is as of now the most likely destination.”

I follow brazilian football and watched Naldo a few times before he moved to Europe, he used to play as a holding midfielder in brazil, but now seems to be playing at centrer back.

Maybe Wenger is getting him so that he could possibly play in 2 positions. Also his free kicks are the main part of his game.

He is not the quickest of players but can get away with his pace because he can tackle, he needs to improve on his heading which is quite poor despite his height.

Perfact he is what we needed When Toure is done he will be perfect and he could even challenge him right now Sell gallas so he could join us but if we buy him i wish this doesn’t stop Wenger from Getting Defensive Midfielder which is we desperately needed.

has wenger commented on this? if we get this guy i reckon kolo is gonna be moved to dm or this guy will play there. i know gallas an toure are in final year of contract but its abit strange to buy 2 centre halfs. no matter what happens he needs tht checkbook out or we are gonna be in the same league position again.
