The Barclays Fan of India 2010 is 24 year old Arsenal fan Aby Baby Kuruvilla from Bangalore.
Aby was 1 of 1000′s of fans who submitted a video ( BELOW) to show how much their team means to them, and he won. ( GREAT to see Arsenal win something this year )
His prize was a trip to watch his beloved Arsenal in the 1-0 win vs Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.
Hope you had a great night Aby and congrats from all of us at arsenalaction.com
Sky Sports did a piece on this fella earlier in the week, it was really good – and very very amusing… I bet he had a fab time at the match last night, and so he saw us win.
if you spent any time in India or any other eastern countries you would realise it is VERY difficult to find ANYONE selling a GENUINE football jersey. When you go into the market you will find hundreds of stalls selling knock off good (often with the incorrect sponsors – well done sherlock!)
Also if they were to buy a genuine shirt, imagine how much it would cost them? In england it costs around £40, that is a small fortune for an average family in india.
Just because he doesnt have the ‘official’ attire on doesnt mean he isnt a die hard fan!
I saw the men in white jackets collect him at half time, he was still waving his cardboard scarf.
Seriously it makes you appreciate how easy it is to see our beloved team, I hope it was all he dreamed of.
Sure he did!! Pretty sure he didn’t end up drunk like you lot and barf all over himself and end up sleeping with his head buried in the toilet with your mates shite all over ya!!
All you lot that are making fun of this man, look at yourselves. This young man at least has the guts to make fun of himself. You lot have probably never done anything outside of your safety zone your whole lives.
I just went to India last month. I found out that in Mumbai there is a little war going on between Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal fans.
As Arsenal have many more fans and can start an official supporters club, where as the other two clubs dont have enough fans there to start an official supporters club.
The other official supporters club in Mumbai is Bayern Munich (a lil weired)
To wear official kit, the people who sell it here should rationalize its price.
The club Jersey costs 3000 Rs, which is what many earn here in a month. So, that is not at all a viable option.
Then again you find a lot of fake stuff here. So most of us have to settle for them.
Whatever is the situation, there is massive following for the league here and it is only increasing day by day.
Die-hard or not, the club has already realised this potenial an is working towards addressing the “fake stuff” wearing “not so die hard” fans here in India.
Arsenal have tie up with Tata, through which they conducted a school soccer program – Tata Tea Arsenal soccer stars. Now, that is only just a bit of it.
The market is here. With 1 Billion and more counting.
Hahah I Love him!!!
awesome, love this guy
wearing a FAKE TOP mug
errrrrrr why is his kit made by puma!?!?

Im of Indian origin. Oh cringe!
There is a bigger Arsenal fan base in Bangalore than in the whole of UK!! Therefore to all the unappreciative people, well you know what to do!!
Sure he did!! Pretty sure he didn’t end up drunk like you lot and barf all over himself and end up sleeping with his head buried in the toilet with your mates shite all over ya!!

I just love anyone who loves Arsenal. This guy is cool. He actually did predict on Sky, before the Liverpool game that we would win 1 – 0. Hmm…
he lives in india you mug
Same here I think he is great
Might be a bit annoying to have as a mate though lol
Why are we fighting with each other? we are not the enemies, chelsea and united are.
Let’s just be happy that one of us won.
