You can’t bring 6 new players into the starting line up and expect to finish anywhere near the top of this league. While I trust Wenger, questions need to be asked if 2 further centrebacks (one HAS to be experienced and over 25) and a central midfielder (as above) fail to materialise.

Van Der Wiel, Zapata and Veloso would make me feel so much more confident about the season ahead, if Sagna and Almunia were deemed surplus to requirements after that I would recoup a portion of the expenditure there. Everything else I would leave excluding the imminent arrival of Schwarzer.

IF I were to take over from Wenger, the FIRST thing I would do is go to FIFA directly about Barca’s shameless, tasteless, hopeless pursuit of Cesc. They are are bunch of dirt,y hypocritical, sell their mamas for a buck, low-life scuzzwads! May they rot in eternal debt!

if i was wenger i’d be looking for English talent, the young foreign players weve bought have proven that they cant all be the next cesc or henry.

i would personally secure Joe cole, Keep Cesc and Sol Campbell. I would add English spine of Gary Cahill, Phil Jagielka, Joe Hart and Scott Parker to the side.

If we’re to lose Cesc i would replace with Ozil who looks amazing during the German world cup campaign. And i would also bring Jack Wilshire into the First team reckoning as he will prove more usefull this season than rossicky, Nasri and Walcott.

I would sell, Diaby, Eduardo, Clichy, Fabianski and not renew Silvestre or Gallas’s contracts.

and my starting line up for the first game would be:

    ———————-Van Persie————–Chamakh

and use ramsey, wilshire and henry lansbury as mush as can be used throughout the season as these boys will player better in the premier league than denilson nasri etc.

why do ppl keep adding this van der wiel boy offensively he’s not better than eboue as a full back and not as gd defensively as bacary and don’t forget bac created a goal for france in the defeat to SA………………………anyways

    ———————–Mark Schwazer—————————–

Schesney/Fabianski (loan to be recalled when needed)

Play 4-2-3-1 ala germans, Using Diaby as the backup dm, here i would say look at busquets they are very similar players but barca have figured out how to use busquets as efficiently as possible……

Selling….Denilson, Vela, Traore, Mannone, Almunia, Eduardo, Rosicky=£31mil

New Budget 61mil … purchase of Ozil, krasic (very quick skilfull winger theo can learn a thing or two).& chilleini …..samir nasri will be given the season to prove himself as left winger or babel is signed and brought in to replace him

wilshire groomed by ozill, i know ozil is young but his movement off the ball is on the stupendous levels its better than kaka’s or messi love those late runs into the box….if wilshire can learn this we can sell on ozil in 5 yrs for a nice and tidy sum

Out- Fabregas, 30mil + yaya toure, possibly? would go down well on a 4231 formation.

His heart aint in it anymore.. just sell him, some new faces would be nice.

    budget.. 60million still!

in.. Mertesacker, Koscieleny, schwarzer, Toure(as a part of cesc deal), Ozil, Chamakh.
    Keep campbell for another year.

    ___________________ Schwarzer

    ________Ozil________Van persie__________Arshavin____

    ____________________ Chamakh_____________________

Van persie just behind chamakh, Arshavin and Ozil cutting in.. would work wonders i think.

Song and Toure would be solid as a rock together they could drop back and give support to Vermaelen and Mertesacker, and it would allow clichy and Eboue to push up down the wings even more..

    sub’s as usual.

    June 30, 2010 at 2:56 pm

funny how people still talk about Veloso who has been RUBBISH for 2 years!

Facts: We won’t buy Ozil or Joe Cole or Mertesacker or Melo or Van Der Wiel or Gourcuff

And we can only hope that the likes of Almunia, Fabianski, Eduardo, Denilson, never wear the shirt again.

Fabregas is gone. Probably a week before the season starts leaving us stranded.

Koscieny is a joke! A lower league footballer who has never kicked a ball as an International or in European Football. Absolutely ridiculous signing at £8m.

Schwarzer is the biggest insult of all. Schwarzer??? A Z-list goalie.

Chamakh however will be HUGE! He is made for the premiership.
Arshavin will leave at Xmas if a decent offer comes in, and Wenger will panic buy in January after once again realising he doesn’t have a squad of any note to challenge.

    —————–De Rossi——–Song————–

    ———————van Persie——————

Out: Almunia, Fabianski, Campbell, Gallas, Denilson.

How unrealistic. Akinfeev is manu bound, have never expressed a desire to leave, and if he does, he will cost 15m +, which is 10M to much for wenger considering that the russian is not french…Mexes is twice the defender Gallas is. Has to be injured since he didn’t play for France in WC. Roma will never let him leavefor anything under 20M. Gibbs has expressed more diciplin and better crossing than Clichy, that’s why he is 1st choice. De Rossi is the most unrealistic here. Italias hard worker and is Flamini x 5. Since he is mr Roma, there is no chance of ever signing him. And last, but not least, Ozil. Doesn’t want to play for arsenal, going to end up at Barca. That’s why Wenger sings a second division weak CB like Koscielny, a free striker and a joke of a grandpa goalie Schwarzer…. Looking forward to fighting for 4th place again..

    June 30, 2010 at 4:11 pm

    Players out:
    Clichy – 8m
    Diaby – 8m
    Fabianski – 5m(very generous)

    Total left – 51m

    Players in:
    Kocielny – 8.5m
    Handanovic – 8m
    Krasic – 15m
    Melo – 10m
    Chamackh – free

    Total spend 41.5m

    Sagna Vermaelen Kocielny Gibbs
    Ramsay or Nasri
    Krasic Fabregas Arshavin
    Van Persie

Haven’t seen anything of Kocielny, but the rest is top quality. The attacking power of RVP, Krasic, Cesc and Arshavin would be second to none in the prem!! Put the class of Aaron or Samir as the link up man, and probably one of the best water carriers in world football (Melo) just behind this attack, and i reckon we’ll be in great shape!!

  19. alex

    June 30, 2010 at 4:12 pm

And i totally agrre with mmmm by the way. I you have a look at Koscielny you will see that he is more of a water boy than a player. SKinny, tiny slow midget that will be outmuscled by EVERYONE! Think him against the likes of Stoke the neandethals that are only out for blood and bruises… He will fall, cry and quit football. What an absolutely disaster of a transfer. Arsene, you might as well wipe ur french ass with £8M.

Same goes for Schwarzer really. He will be Lehmann nr 2, only we will not get to see his best years like we did with mad Jens. A 37 year old grandpa who in the WC showed us how mistakeridden he is. Replacing a turd with another turd is the answer for Wenger… or so it seems. Forget Gourcuff, Ozil and Yaya. No quality player will ever be signed. We only sign 16 year olds that have statistically a 5% chance of shining in an Arsenal shirt, then just to be sold when they barely had the time to become a world class player. Need examples? sure… Vieira, Toure, Hleb, Cesc, Flamini, Gilberto Silva. I watched Brazil play, and Gilberto was fantastic, never put a foot wrong, amazing diciplin, passing and positioning. Why on gods name did Wenger let him go? Just so he can play a Flamini who became Cashley nr 2? ridiculous!! Same goes for Cesc, he will be the next Alex Hleb. Came in as noone, became well known, left, and became crap. Hleb regrets leaving, so did Henry, Overmars and Emmanuel Petit.

Anywaym, the point is that since Wenger has a masters in economics, he sees players as an investment. Meaning buy low and sell high. Meaning that he gets Cesc free, and sells when he is at the top. Same goes for Hleb, Henry and soon Diaby. If Diaby plays like he did the first game for France consistently. In the meantime, angry gunners fans all over the world sit on websites like this, and furiously complaint, like I am doing right now. And with a reason, I mean, getting Koscielny?! Really?! WHY?!?!?! Next we will see him buying the worst goalie in the whole world for £50M…. And to all of you “dreamers”… Yaya Toure deal will never ever ever happend. If you take the time to read the 100 000 times he said that he will never play for Arsenal, we might stop seing his name popping up on all transfer wishes from the fans.

    Peace out

i would bring in 2 cbs Koscielny for 8.5m and hangerland for 8-10m as roy has left the club and nows the best time to go get him… probably give him a 3 yr contract and by then bartley and Nordtveit will be ready to step into the first team……

we should get 1 def mid…. hard working, tackling and physically well built and tall …..

send denielson, lansbury, wilashre, jet, bartley on loan…..

    If I was the manager….

I would buy 3 players considering Koscielny was a done deal.
    Simon Kjaer
    either or Schwarzer
    Jan Vertonghen

If Cesc was sold, Arshavin would replace him in the formation below with Nasri being the future successor.

    I would employ a 4-2-3-1 system

Vertonghen would cover for song, diaby or either cb

except its not the fabregas role, under that formation Arshavin would be playing in his best position just like he plays with Russia, he also would’nt have to defend because we know he is not the best at that, hence the 2 DM.

Cheers Terry!! Reckon we could get Melo though for that price, Juve spent the same on him and would look to recoup their money. He was voted the worst signing in Italy last year, so maybe they will look to sell before his value drops even further, especially if he remains injured for the rest of the world cup where his value may start to rise.
