Be Worried! Wenger has done this before..

On the forum today a member said that he was worried that Koschielny would be the only defender coming in to the club this summer.

It was pointed out that we might be losing (4) FOUR CBs this summer – Gallas,Senderos,Campbell,Silvestre

And it would be madness if Wenger didn’t replace them with new signings and that Wenger wouldn’t be that stupid to allow players to leave without signing replacements.

Well, I would like to point out that Wenger has a long history of allowing players to leave without signing replacements.

Remember that Gilberto, Flamini & Diarra were all allowed to leave in the same year (2008) without Wenger signing any CM as replacements.

So don’t be caught out thinking that if we lose 4 CB this summer, Wenger will go out and sign 4 readymade replacements.

History tells us that, Wenger seems to replace players gone with players already at the club and moves players up the peaking order.

When Flamini moved on, Denilson got his chance
Gilberto out, Song moves in
Vieira out, Cesc takes over… its going to be the same WHEN Cesc leaves, we already have a replacement in Ramsey.

So with the 4 CB leaving who will take over…

Well, I think it will be like so…
Vermaelen , Koschielny , Djourou with ether Bartley, Nordtveit making the 4th.

Personally I would like to see Wenger sign Gary Cahill or the Big 6ft 6 German.

i hope that Im wrong but dont be thinking that we are going to see loads of new faces arrive this summer.
Chamakh, Koschielny and a Keeper and thats it.

3 in and 4 out, and yet again we are going to be let down in the transfer window by our manager……MORE

You think this, you think that.

Yeh, well that’s why you’re an amateur blogger and Wenger is a professional football manager of the highest calibre…………………..because he has more football knowledge in his big toe than any blogger will ever have. Stop bloody moaning and thinking you know best.

Yet another blogger who dives into the fray attacking wenger because he has the sense to keep our club in a strong financial position and promote young talent from within. I suggest you re-read your article and consider just how stupid is sounds.
This article would have even sounded stupid in the mid 00’s when people were spending silly money!

Ah, Sindumb, I was wondering when you were going to weigh in on Arsenal’s transfer activity for the summer, and I have not been let down. Your stellar idiocy is only matched by your utter ignorance. Have we been let down by Song or Cesc, who the manager moved up in the pecking order? Has Vermaelen not proved those who doubted he could hack it in the EPL wrong?

Are you sure you’re even a Gooner?

Oh dear binbag, still at it i see. Give up mate, your posting a speculatively negative on what wenger hasnt even done yet (you might have to think about that for a bit if my measure of you is correct) The transfer window has only just opened mate, give it a rest and hopefully you wont be crawling out of the woodwork again until the end of the window.

Wenger is in the last year of his contract … he’s forgiven his precious babies for folding three years in a row. They’re all good boys and they will be given their chance to correct themselves again this season. Wenger has unerring faith in them. He believes in them. Diaby. Denilson. Fabianski. His confidence in them is concrete, one more season in the sun, if they fail then he’ll walk at the end of next season. If they finally prove him right he’ll walk at the end of next season. Either way, this is the end of the Wenger era, and I for one have had a gut full .. still I’m sure they’ll be some great financial results that we can parade through Islington at some point ….

Only two more months before the transfer window closes and Wenger has still not made the 325 signings I want him to make, sack him! I want signings, I want them NOW!

Sinbad, with Gooners like you, who needs spurs fans? I actually wonder if you are a spurs fan. Either way you’re daft as arseholes and twice as nasty. Find a new hobby.

When i read from ” Have we been let down by Song” i laughed so loud, it says something about the person and what they know about football, if you think song is anywhere good enough you need your head testing !!! but the AKBers for you, as the rest of the comments, sry who do u support arsene or arsenal !!! Sinbad as made valid point that none of you can dispurt, becasue they are FACT !! apart from the baying mob your the mugs that keep wenger in his job, mugs

Shame on Sinbad for being more ambitious than the manager his beloved football club employs. Yes Wenger will think he knows everything again and refuse to attend to the bleeding obvious, and Arsenal will come 4th or 5th again…. and next season loser fans like the ones above will say the same old crap while real fans who love their club have to watch it underachieve for a sixth season.

you can not be an Arsenal fan, you have no clue about football management, all you do is slat Arsenal, you never have anything good to say about OUR club, it’s so obviously you don’t like the club so why support them if you can call it support. try and support someone else like Spurs because we don’t need so-called fans like you

If cahill was good enough he would have been in the England squad; now why would you want to sign him? Are you amateur like Mike said?

Song is slower then a turtle,he completely stalled Camerouns play because he is so slow.

Think you make a valid point with the replacing players argument. already last year we were short on defenders.. with the number of injuries we carry over a season we need more than the central defenders we have, not less. quality wise I’m not so worried.. I just hope Sol stays onboard.. a better backup defender can not be found.. even if he is aproaching a 100 years. 😉

    July 2, 2010 at 4:56 pm

So you dont rate players like Ashley Young? or any player that cant get into the England team?

    July 2, 2010 at 5:16 pm

I think we will be fine with just signing Koscielny. Djourou and Verminator are ready. Nordveit will be be backup. And do not forget that Song can play CB very well. No worries – Wenger needs to concentrate more on a world class goalkeeper rather than another defender. Plus Sol will end up staying as the backup.

If all you idiots are happy with the one signing and watching the same old collapse again you cant be REAL GOONERS ?watching sub standard players like song denilson and eboue parading around in the famous red and white is a sickner!! the sooner wenger leaves the better we will get and finally a end to the FAILED kiddy experiment….

“Sinbad as made valid point that none of you can dispurt, becasue they are FACT !!” Absolutely brilliant Terraformer.

I think you’ve adequately demonstrated your abilities for a reasoned argument with four errors in one sentence. I vote for you as next manager lol.

Also you asked whether I support Arsene or Arsenal. Well having stood on the terraces since 1968 and still doing 200 miles for each home game, I think you can safely say I support Arsenal and probably for considerably more years than you’ve been alive judging by your moronic contribution.

Sorry Terraformer, I’ve done you a terrible injustice. I think you’ve actually made five errors in that sentence not four…………..any advance on five 🙂

Some of the so called gooners on this site (small g) make me sick. You negative twats should be ashamed of yourselves. You are a shower of shit. The championship manager mentality of you plonkers is ridiculous. Don’t you know we just moved stadium? Don’t you know we’re in a global recession? Don’t you know that there are more clubs going to the wall than ever before, or carrying unsustainable debts that will eventually strangle them? You don’t appreciate having the only manager in the world who could possibly keep our club within touching distance of the top on the resources available. Oh yeah we haven’t bought a Berbatov or a Veron this year. We haven’t crippled ourselves by buying Kaka (more like Cack this year) for £57 million. We shoulda got Schevchenko in for £32 mill. Shoulda gone in for Robhino maybe. If Wenger makes a bad signing then it is not too much of a problem because he won’t fork out silly money for these ego flops. He buys mostly players who are young and not too well known so they don’t carry the ego’s and are pliable enough to be trained correctly. You doubters do The Arsenal a massive disservice the way yous talk of our performance over the last few years. We have pushed the high spending Chavs (and now terribly in debt Man U) really close 2 or 3 times the last 5 years. Look at Liverpool, Englands most successful club last year. Worldies like Gerrard, Torres, Mascherano, Reina maybe, England right back Johnson etc. They were shite. Look at Man U now, he sold a player for £80 mill last year but aint got no money cos of the debts starting to throttle them. And they got the highest turnover in the world. Get real people and stop trying to hurt my beloved football club. We don’t lack ambition. You would not finish in the top 4 in this (toughest in the world!) league without ambition. Luckily for us the custodians of our club are sensible and prudent. And they don’t think like the idiot who wrote this article.

  24. wenger - FUCKING PIECE of SHIT

    July 4, 2010 at 1:04 pm

wenger and the board are god-damn fucking pieces of shit.

all you people who come on here defending wenger and complaining about articles that are critical of wenger are all god-damn fucking pieces of shit too.

That means you willo. how does arsene arsehole taste? I think all of you arsene supporters should have a contest to see who can stick their tongue the farthest up arsene’s arsehole.

Actually though, I’m glad wenger is doing the same thing he always does. I get far more entertainment out of that then I get out of the actual football his team plays. I’m fully expecting another season of absolute comedy with the piece of shit wenger in charge and all of you pieces of shit supporting him and his ballet and his ballerinas.

If you listen closely enough next season you might hear me laughing in the back of your mind everytime wenger and the players he selects embarrass themselves and prove that they are pieces of fucking shit.
