[Video] Arsenal Linked With €4 Portuguese Keeper

A few rumors floating around in the Portuguese press tonight saying that Arsenal are looking at Eduardo dos Reis Carvalho.

The 27-year old keeper, who was impressive for Portugal in the 2010 World Cup has a buyout clause for €4 and Arsenal and Man Utd are interested.

Personally I would be delighted if we signed him rather him than Mark Schwarzer. See below a clip of Eduardo in action

If you saw video of Almunia against Barca you’d think he was a world beater! What we need is a strong, solid, experienced keeper who can dominate his area and give the defence some confidence.

Why does he need to buy a goalie? We have an excellent one on our books already…Scezney! If Real could have the balls to pick a 17 y.o Cassilas, then Wenger should have the balls to pick him!

Looks like Braga have nicked our KIT.

Did anyone notice that he palmed most of the balls away rather than catching them. In the Premiership that costs you goals so I’m not convinced….

I´m not convinced on this one. He doesen´t catch any balls. All of them are palmed out. I like the Fulham Keeper more. And he has more experince in England. Zheisniy (spelling) can then take over next season.

“Looks like Braga have nicked our KIT” Well they are called the arsenalistas, since they began to wear the arsenal colours in 1920. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.C._Braga
