[Update] Arsenal fans Email Barcelona FC

Arsenal Action have today emailed Barcelona FC and demanded an apology from the club to our Fans over the recent Shirt incident & inappropriate conduct of Barcelona FC Players towards Cesc Fabregas.

Our Email:

Sandro Rossell
President of Barcelona FC
Camp Nou

Dear Senor Rossell,

Re: Inappropriate Conduct of Barcelona FC over Cesc Fabregas

Despite what can only be described as a public assurance being given by your outgoing President Joan Laporta, prior to the World Cup taking place, that your club would not make anymore attempts to effectively unsettle one of our key players, namely Cesc Fabregas, we have seen the incidents post-World Cup which cause us a great deal of concern.

The name Barcelona Football Club used to command  respect. Your club has a fantastic history and ethically speaking you have taken steps which other top European Clubs could not possibly contemplate i.e. the free sponsorship of the UNICEF charity on your football shirts. However, this respect is fast diminishing. It is clear Fabregas is at the top of the Barca shopping list – it is also clear that it is an offence to tap players up. We believe there has been a deliberate campaign to disrupt the focus of this young gifted player and to push him to return to his hometown club. This campaign culminated in a highly publicised ‘stunt’ which saw the ‘forbidden act’ of a player wearing another football strip relating to a big rival. There can be no doubt that this stunt will have huge effects on the relationship between Cesc and the Arsenal fans, as fans will understandably question his commitment to Arsenal Football Club. Once the negativity festers hypothetically speaking it potentially will not take long for the rot to set in and for Cesc to demand a move to Barca!

In conclusion, I am writing to say that your once great club has gone down drastically in our estimations.

It is time you started behaving like a great club and stop unsettling players at other clubs. We hope FIFA investigate this matter and take the maximum penalty against you, if any findings of tapping-up are upheld.

Please see the comments made by Arsenal fans on our site aimed towards your club on this issue [Link] and also a Facebook Group with over 900 fans who are all disgusted by your so called “great club”

We want an apology from you!!!!

Yours disappointingly,

Gooner Galatyali

Barca actually pay Unicef to have the name on their shirt. As much as i’d like to hope it will, i doubt much will happen in resonse to this email.

Put together aprty of 4 or 5 and go to Barcelona. track down Puyol, Pique, Iniesta, Busquets and Xavi, pin them down and force them to wear a Real Madrid shirt. Photograph. Then force them to wear a Holland shirt and photograph. Then a Switzerland shirt, etc.

Before letting them go, make sure to kick them in the chops.

I hope you have sent this to FIFA and UEFA.

This constant tapping up of all players not just Cesc should be actioned. It is not just Barca but Real Madrid did it for a year concerning Ronaldo.

    Thank you for your effort.

Sorry man but what a load of tripe. For starters if you are going to complain at least make a strong complaint, this letter is weak. I am sure your demands for an apology have Sandro Rossell laying awake at night wondering how best to word his apology so he does not disappoint you any further!! You are as deluded as he is if you think this will have any impact whatsoever. I also do not see how Barcalona can be held responsible for what a Liverpool player does either, or what their replica shirts are used for. If the Yorkshire Ripper was photographed in a Barcalona shirt is it their responsibility and should they condemn it because he is a murderer?? The whole thing was a joke and you need to grow a sense of humour. I would rather see him photographed in a Barca shirt than a Spurs one. I do not want to see Cesc leave but ultimately it will be his decision. He is not a stupid boy and he will do what is best for him. If he leaves then wish him good luck and if he does not then lets enjoy him being at the club for however long that is.

i second wat Gav here says. FIFA or UEFA would’ve investigated had they felt there was actual tapping up of players by the other club’s representatives. The by-the-book meaning of tapping a player is when representatives of club ‘A’ meet the player or the player’s agent who is contracted to club ‘B’ and discuss his transfer to club ‘A’. That was how A Cole was fined by the FA. In Cesc’s case, neither of this has happened and so, its not actually tapping up by Barca. Let’s face it.. every club mentions the name of the players that they are trying to sign and Barca did nothing wrong in making their transfer target public. Arsenal mentioned on the news that they were trying to sign Koscielny. Man Utd said they want to sign Fabiano and Chelsea said they wanted to sign Villa. just because it repeats doesn’t make it an offense.

coming to the shirt issue, it was a joke in the middle of an awesome celebration. Iker Casillas started his speech by calling everyone ‘Cabrones’ (bastards) in Spanish.. so u can understand the way they were having fun n enjoying the celebration. and wat pique n puyol did to cesc was just a joke which Cesc himself has stated.

i am a staunch Barca fan and i would be happier to see cesc at arsenal as it would help him develop his career more. we all know cesc is no kid n he knows how to take decisions like how he did 7 years back. if he truly wants to leave, noone can stop that. if he wants to continue, everyone will be happy.

P.S: u guys haven’t heard Arshavin or Heitinga’s comments about doing anything to join Barca? so these players are fined for what they said? these things happen in modern football and we just have to grow up with the way modern footballl goes.

    hahahahah! you wankers!!!!!

You really thing Barcelona is going to apologize to you?! You owe them a apology for snatching their youngsters and abusing an absurd law in Spain, not allowing clubs to sign youngsters. There own youngsters, that they’ve put money, time and energy on to bringing up!

Speaking of absurd, English football, what a JOKE!!!! hahahahahaha

All the players in the EPL are from other parts of the globe and you have the nerves and insist the EPL is the best league in the world!! Wake the FU*CK up and put down tea and biscuit so you can smell the sh*it your talking!

    Great stuff. Well done, ArsenalAction.

Now, it is even more important that we get a complaint email addressed to UEFA & FIFA. The way Barca has conducted things is even worse than the conventional tapping up described by one of the posters above. This is unprecedented and outrageous.

As the turds at FIFA & UEFA won’t take action against Barcelona for their blatant tapping up of Cesc Fabregas ( behaviour that breaks their rules ) then Arsenal fans in their thousands should write letters of complaint about this posting one each to UEFA & FIFA.
If both bodies are too gutless to take action against Barcelona, then if thousands of Arsenal fans post letters it will hopefully cause the 2 bodies a huge administrative headache. I would go so far as suggesting repeatedly posting letters once a week.

I have written an email to Arsenal asking for their opinion of Barcelona’s behaviour during the whole Cesc affair and look forward to their reply. I think our club has shown the class that FC Barcelona can only aspire to.

Yet another demonstration that you cannot buy class.

When you write an official letter, you should avoid basic errors like a split infinitive (‘to effectively unsettle’). It may seem like pedantry, but when you eventually start applying for jobs, if you manage to finish school, you ought really to keep it simple and to the point. Just a tip to help you in your life, these things are important. Also ‘yours disappointingly’ suggests you are disappointing; I think you meant ‘yours disappointedly’. In any case, neither would be an appropriate way to end a letter. You could use ‘yours regretfully’ at a push, but it’s ugly. Okay, lesson over!

Fabri deserves to play at a big club like Barcelona
Arsenal small club and not ambition Fabri

Quick, dumb question: Is nobody vexed at Fabregas? Aside from the silly fact that our politicians (and unfortunately, hence the club) used your captain as a pawn in a game of politics, it seems like this is tantamount to having your girlfriend decide to leave you for another man, and getting mad at the man.

Also, note that Fabregas has never, during all of this, come out and called an end to the sililliness, which the Spanish sporting press drove to new levels. Asking a Barca player if they would like to play with Fabregas is like asking someone if they’d like to have a go with a supermodel. “Um….you bet! Where!”

There are very definite rules regarding tapping up. As I was reminded by an Arsenal supporter, there have been two cases in which the club was found guilty of tapping up. Both were rather more blatant than some folks saying “Boy, we sure would love it if that dude came.”

I don’t absolve my club for its comportment in this matter. I like to think that Guardiola is the real example for how to behave in a situation such as this one. And had the elections not been going on, it wouldn’t have been anywhere near as deranged.

I dont think it is ‘tapping up’ unless a contract is actually broken and a transfer takes place. Therefor, as bitter as it is to say, Barca have no case to answer.

You Goon’s need to get a grip, get a life & get with reallity. The incident which seems to have got you all stressed out over was nothing more than a few of the Spanish players having a bit of fun’ during thier world cup celebrations. you could clearly see Cesc, was trying to avade the ambush. Grow up for F***’s sake. Besides …….didn’t you Goons exploit the loop hole in the Spanish system which allowed you to basically steal him from Barca in the first place. You seem to have short selective memories. Strange that aint it.

I am not an Arsenal fan, however I certainly do not condone such behavior relating to the tapping up of Cesc as Barca has so ‘cheaply’ demonstrated over the last few weeks. It seems that despite numerous rejections from Arsenal that they are not selling at any price, the ‘clowns’ at the Nou Camp have continued to be at the peak of ‘oblivion’ with the likes of Xavi,Messi,Pique,Puyol etc and even their most recent of recruits Villa also taking a spin in yet another pathetic attempt to lure Cesc.If that isn’t enough, the Catalan media have now claimed that Cesc has agreed to move to Barca when Iniesta was just quoted yesterday as implying that Cesc is staying this season at Arsenal, this seems like pretty contradictory reporting to me but I guess anything goes when you’re trying to fill up pages!

I used to have a lot of admiration for Barcelona until they turned into a ‘classless’ bunch of idiots whose motto these days seems to be that of ‘disrespect’!That being said,I will be lending my support to Jose Mourinho and his crew at Madrid from hereon and perhaps a trophy drought will ensue at the Nou Camp.

Note:To All Barca Fans who come on here and make blind statements without having verified facts and say things like “Arsenal stole Fabregas” amongst ‘countless’ others,I kindly request that you please double check the information before you jeopardise your integrity in the name of FC Barcelona.
