Not happy at all, tossed 2 pts away against a very average team and didnt even look up for it today.
Cant remember the Sunderland keeper having a save to make in 90mins? No doubt people will moan that Sunderland scored in the 4th min of time adding on but in the end it was a far result.

God you do talk some tripe. If we hadn’t conceded that goal everyone would be heralding how dogged a display that was. How you can say they didn’t look up for it is beyond me when Nasri, Chamakh and Rosicky were closing down and making vital interceptions.
Song was our best player before he got (unfairly) sent off and Denilson didn’t give the ball away once. You obviously watched a different game to most Arsenal fans.
the goal was always coming. it should have been worse we didnt deserve a point let alone 3. koscienly is too weak at the back,chamakh was average and squillaci is just another silvestre. rosicky was weak in midfield and his poor performance was summed up by that shambles of a penalty.we have to be winning these sort of games if we are to win anything this year!
Amaan that is pointless as long as the whistle hadnt been blown you keep playing.As i predicted we would win at a canter at home against Bolton and Braga and struggle at Sunderland.But deary me it was a different performance from the Braga game.Trophies,forget about it.

Not the best overall performance, but I thought defensively we were solid. We need to get our passing together though, can’t give the ball away with the style of football we play.

The players should know this, make me feel like they have not learned anything from last season.
I think your comments are pretty accurate except for those about Nasri and Denilson-Nasri lost possession on numerous occaisons in the first half and Denilson looked to be one of the few players who could withstand a challenge and keep possession when he came on.
Song and Arshavin look off form-we could have done with a holding midfielder in this game.
Incidentally the ref just let Sunderland players commit foul challenges-especially in midfield and get away with it all game.

The mistake was not resting anyone, IMHO. I can see it would be hard, after 6-0 Braga, to not do so, but…fatigue showed. After the fact, it is hard to be fresh-minded about it, but Arsene had Eboue, Gibbs, Vela, Denilson, Rosicky at the very least. Now I hope they all play against Spurs.
I think the importance of the mid-week has grown — don’t want two bad results in a row, and, no, had you asked me before the game if a point would be OK, I would have said NoFWay!

It was a very tough match and we fought right to the last kick WITH TEN MEN. Shame about Clichy’s clearance but Sunderland deserved a point once we didn’t take our chances. Arshavin had another average game but apart from him everyone else did very well after a shaky start.
I’m fed up reading blogs like this… seems like u just want to vent your frustration by throwing toys out of the pram! we’ve had a good start to the season lads, just get behind the team!
this is utter tosh this man has been smoking somethin weird. We lost this match coz of the inept refereeing,nothin short. Except clichy,i feel the team played their hearts. The central defense was superb,almunia a lot more confident and did see quite a lot ball all of which he handled superbly unlike what yo have pointed out. Denilson came and infact steadied the ship with some excellent interceptions around the box and even was part of some forward forays. Cant understand what you were looking at.
Rosciky was a bad choice for the penalty and a player with exp should have folded it for us. Do they blast penalties with the outer foot in czech rep? That was pathetic indeed. Song b’for his sending was lion hearted.
What were you watching ? Clichy was good going forward down the left and was unlucky with the goal. He also had a very physical challenge for 90 mins and he did well in my opinion, mistakes were bound to happen. Song’s first booking was a joke but admittedly the second was a yellow, but he’s our rock in the middle. Denilson came on and steadied the fort for 35 mins and Rosicky was good except the penalty. You need to base ratings on the whole 90 mins and not just one incident in a match next time.

I was absolutely disappointed with our performance.. hardly any fluency and creativity.. not many changes.. i would have expected us to take the game to sunderland but no.. we allowed them to exposure our weaknesses..

Dowd may be a gay wanker but why Wenger thinks he can still slot Denilson in place of Song, or Rosicky/Nasri/Ramsey in place of Fab God only knows. Denilson was responsible for that goal, no one else. Like the last two seasons, without Fab and Song on the field at the same time, we will go nowhere–AGAIN, ffs!
we should have won , we could have won , we didn`t but the 10 men played well. Though the had more of the ball we created more clear cut chances and had more shots on target. Am i disappointed yes but if the team can put in that determination every week the future will look red in May. I though our CB`s were immense today.

I think Denilson was very good today, ball possession was dramatically increased following his inclusion (paradoxically following reduction in 10 man team!). If it was not that Clichy panic moment I would consider the most memorable Arsenal game of the season. Today were introduced several qualities that were lacking in previous few seasons and that is the grit and aggressiveness. Our CB’s vere almost perfect, Chamakh perfectly held the ball to deny opponents having the ball. That was a a bad moment but no reason to panic, I feel Arsenal can win it.
Oops meant Kos not Denilson, as Bent was behind Kos for that goal.

The whole Arsenal performance was well below par.They seemed confused and mesmerized especially in the first half.Missing a penalty when it was easier to score it than miss is unexplainable.The referee did not help the situation with a very soft second yellow card for Song and adding more seconds at the end of the game just to accommodate Sunderland’s equalizer. In all fairness Alumnia had a good game.Are we still lacking maturity by these signs of inconsistances? We play so well on Wednesday in the Champions league and come Saturday,3 days later we play as if we have a big hang over.If things do not change then the chances of getting a silver ware are zero.
Innosky keep the faith. Look at last season we lost. Last year our defence was the problem , given the numbers of players out injured I though we did well. How many saves did Alumina make in the whole match . We dealt with the highballs well. I am however worried about Clichy he seem to have gone backwards.
this was only the 4th pl match of the season go steady on our guys, they worked hard in defence, i dont think the ref had all his brains with him 2day, one thing, there is a long way to go till end of season so dont panic and write them off just yet, there will be enough of non arsenal fans and of course the press slagging our team we dont have to join them, so they didnt win, so what, get over this game and focus on the next, hope our captain is ok.
1. Not finding someone to blame, but Clichy did make a number of mistakes and performed poor in this game. If you compare him with Sagna, our right side back is much reliable.
2. Yes, I also did watch Denilson giving the ball away many times and that made me jump and crazy. If he was mature enough, he should know whether he should shoot or keep the possession in the 92th minute. Someone was unmarked in the right but he choose to shoot unwisely. He deservedly came after Wilshere, Song, and Diaby in the pecking order.
3. Our 2 CBs did a fantastic job in this game.
4. I wonder why Mr. Wenger started the game with the eleven same as the last game just three days ago. Overall, we looked heavy-legged. At least, we should give Gibbs more chances (remember our boss said he was not scared of playing youngsters?) Maybe he was overwhelmed by the 6-0 results we played Braga.
really thought things would be different this season..we have fallen where we would have fallen in previous seasons…we haven’t jumped up another level which means looking at getting draws and even loosing at places like Stoke, Birmingham and Everton(although we had a cracking win at everton last season)…….we are looking at 2nd or 3rd this season(which i am more than happy with)…………….funny thing is if you had come from another planet and didn’t know a thing about the EPL and then seen how sunderland,stoke and Birmingham etc play against us ,you would think they would be up there fighting for champions league or at least Europa league places by the end of the season.But they hardly ever get there which means playing us,liverpool,man u and chelsea is there cup finals and all they can manage to raise their games for and basicaly,avoiding relagation apart,all they have to play for.Surely this is bad management from bruce,pullis etc. For instance you will see teams near the bottom of the table going to Sunderland,birmingham etc and winning!

Dont’t agree with all the rates. Arshavin deserves 2 at most, he ran less than Almunia did and lost the ball EVERY time he got it. Poor finishing and i didnt’ see him pass more than 2 times. Denilson didn’t do much wrong, good tackles and helped at the back. He did waste a great counter opportunity. Rosicky was mess too. Should never take PKs again in his life. Clichy was poor, not that he had to much help from Arshavin. The russian should spend a good month or so on the bench and used as a super-sub when it’s 15 minutes left on the game. The rest of his time is better spent in the gym training stamina, strengt and balance
a draw wasnt a bad result when you take into consideration that it wasnt one of arsenals better performances and the fact that they played a majority of the 2nd half with 10 men and without fabregas. clichy has been making a few mistakes of late, but to be fair to him his mishit clearance had a lot to do with gyan commiting a foul on him. if you watch the replays you can see that gyan has taken clichys back foot as he attempts to make the clearance .

i thought that was the best defending as a team i have ever seen from arsenal! the tw new cb were amazing esspicall kos. chamck had a hard game after the fans started jeering him for falling over and he didnt get over it. im dissapointed with the result but we shouldn’t blame anyone, except roiscky.
Fair Dinkum some of you gooners need to get over yourselves…Clichy came up against the games man of the match who would have been a handful for almost any left back in the comp especially with so little help on the left. Against taller teams AW may need to rethink Wilshere who one must say looked very aerially challenged out there. The last seconds scramble caught everyone with their pants down and it was an unfortunate comedy of errors. Arshavin does need a kick up the bum tho’ and Rosisky wont be taking any more penalties I should imagine – surprised Almunia wasnt captain but I guess the entire defence had their hands full last night. Disappointing but that is football.
You surely can’t be an Arsenal fan with that report. If u are, then ur just a dickhead person. We fought for the entire match against 12 ppl. Phil Dowd hammered us in the first half. Kept giving them fouls for any little niggle. We couldn’t buy a free kick until Song got sent off. Koscielny was so good that I thought we wouldn’t concede a goal in 3 days. I know we rave on about Vermaellen, but Koscielny will be our best defender for a long time. Sometimes getting a red is a blessing for a team cos ur forced to make subs that u hadn’t planned. Denilson came on and the along with Rosicky and Nasri, absolutely toyed with Sunderland. I also see that everyone’s finger was pointed at Clichy. Yes, he made a few errors in the game that could’ve cost us, but the goal was not his fault. The only place he could kick the ball out when it landed to him was where he tried to kick it. Unfortunately Kos was standing there and the tosser behind him. Performance overall was brilliant from everyone. Unlucky not to get the 3 points from this one, but I wouldn’t dwell on it, just keep doing what we’re doing.

Last min Clichy’s attempted clearance was soo weak and school boy defending. Even if it hadn’t been deflected on to Koscielny, it would have fallen perfectly for bent to score.

Even though we don’t deserve the 3 points, we have dropped 2 points which would have gone a long way in convincing players they can grab points even during a bad game.
there is only one man to blame for the result and that is grinning fool who missed the penalty. to not even hit the target is unforgivable. wenger shamed himself and the once good name of arsenal again with his pointless moan about the time added on. it’s a minimum of 4 minutes and that is a fact.

i have revised my expectations since the start of the season. we are no longer playing for third place. we can now go for second place because manure are now a sitting duck.
Weird game. I listened to it on Talksport. Heard Arshavin’s name once in the 1st half. He didn’t seem to be involved at all. Our goal was very lucky indeed. Sunderland is quite a tough place to go and win. Bottom line is if we put the penalty away it would have been heralded as an excellent win with just 10-men. The penalty was awful – it always gets me how someone, anyone paid so many tens of thousands of pounds can’t score, or even hit the target from the penalty spot. Why didn’t Nasri take it?
Sunderland did put us under massive pressure and admittedly Manu didn’t have much to do but that was down to their finishing. A draw was a fair result.
