Szczesny could leave Arsenal in Jan on a “FREE”

After losing highly rated Fran Medira this summer, Arsenal are now in danger of losing young keeper Wojciech Szczesny in Jan on a FREE.

The young keeper now feels “unwanted” at Arsenal after a bust up with Arsene Wenger and said

“I know Arsenal are fighting for trophies, but if you want to win anything you must play your best players, not the oldest ones.

“It would be helpful if the best goalkeeper was playing.

“I am ready to play at a high level and I need a club who will not be afraid to rely on a 20-year-old. At Arsenal, nobody is brave enough to do so.

“When I get the chance, I’ll show I should have got in earlier.

“I would love to play for Arsenal, but I really expect something more than a few words at a press conference saying, ‘One day Szczesny will be the No1’.

“I was trying to fight for the No1 shirt, but nobody noticed that. I am not interested in being the No3 at any club in the world.”

Szczesny’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season and he has revealed that, despite having met with Arsenal three times, he is not sure where his future lies.

“I will be able to sign with any other club on January 1,” he said.

“I had three meetings about extending my contract but the club don’t seem to be interested at the moment. It won’t be difficult to find a new club. I would like to stay but not in the reserve team. It will be hard to stay when I feel unwanted.”

He is the best shot stopper at the club and should be incorporated into the team. No idea why Fabianski has been given like a gazzilion chances “to prove himself” but manage to mess up each time.

I think he would be a bit silly to leave because he would have to work his way up in other clubs also. If this is true although he has undoubted quality his attitude stinks, Mannone is older than him and has been at Arsenal just as long maybe longer and hasn’t complained at his lack of playing time. I would hate it if he leaves but Wenger knows him better than any of us speculating so if he does go i suspect that Wenger sees something in him that he doesn’t think is right with his attitude

I could understand if we had a top keeper but I can understand Szcz’s frustration being stuck behind 2 clowns! This would be a disaster if he left on a free

I don’t know why we aren’t using him instead of fabianski, I think wenger is the only person in the emirates stadium that has any faith in fabianski, he has had so many chances to prove himself yet he always manages to make a massive cock up in the game. Give szczesny his chance before we lose the only keeper at our club who looks to be top class. (one day)

Isn’t this guy behind Fabianski in the Polish team also??? Its not a coincidence, he just aint ready yet. Get rid and get a more experienced keeper with a better attitude

WOW If you have seen him live you wouldn’t speak crap about him. The First Division doesn’t play direct football ,every club plays like Barcelona. The Jump up for a good goalkeeper is not like an outfield player. You command your area you make your saves you help to win matches by putting consistant performance. This guy is like Peter Schmichael and he should be pissed sitting behind 2 clowns. He has played at Elland Road and The Emirates without shitting himself so he should be at the minimum be second choice keeper.

For gods sakes wenger give this lad a chance. Hes top draw. Twice the keeper Flappy is. I would hate to loose him. Especially for nothing!

I’ve been working at Brentford FC (where “chesney” was on loan last season)
They love him there, reckon he trained hard and was the consummate pro, people saying his attitude stinks should remember that. I’d be pissed too playing 3rd choice to Flappy who really IS shit! (is someone getting his appearance money) Almunia undoubtably is No 1 but I’d say Chesney should be made No 2. Flappy needs to go on loan, with a look to sell.
