[Ratings] 2-0 & We F##k it up…

Arsenal   2 – 3   Tottenham

And not for the first time…. Our 3rd home defeat of the season and the most painful.

Why did it hurt so much?

Because we were 2-0 up at half time? No….Because it was the spurs? No…. It was because that most of us have seen this coming. Our manager sticks with this 4-5-1 bollocks when its clear as mud that its not working. Look at Sunderland last wk, Look at Spurs today.. 4-4-2!!! We have not won anything since 2005, about the same time that Wenger started screwing around with our tactics and started caring more about making a profit then winning things.

Today Wenger played 2 DM in Song and Denilson and we still couldnt keep a clean sheet. I ask you what is the point in playing 4-5-1 if we cant win at home?

Wenger is clueless when it comes to tactics and today just proved that yet again… As well as crap in the transfer market

Today just proved that most of us already knew. We are not good enough, We havent improved on last season and we are going to be very lucky to finish in the top 4…But who cares right? In Wenger we trust, We have £150m in the bank and in 2030 our kids will rule the world…

My Ratings
Fabianski : 6/10 [ Didnt have a chance with any of the goals ]
Sagna : 7/10 [ Played Bale well, But poor with his crossing into the box ]
Koscielny : 5/10 [ Missed an easy header to score.. Gallas was fantastic and our £8m CB was poor again ]
Squillaci : 6/10 [ Didnt do much wrong but he isnt the world class powerful CB we needed ]
Clichy : 7/10 [ Did well, Showed some great pace and linked up well with Arshavin. Played Lennon well ]
Fabregas : 5/10 [ Set up the first goal, Missed an easy chance in the first half. Gave away the pen. Overal poor game]
Nasri : 8/10 [ Scored a fine goal, Been our best player all season]
Denilson : 5/10 [ I cant understand why Wenger plays Denilson and Song in the same side? Poor game, Gave us nothing]
Song : 5/10 [ I lost count how many simple passes he misplaced, Poor game ]
Arshavin : 7/10 [ Played well, Set up the 2nd goal and looked dangerous ]
Chamakh : 3/10 [ Scored the 2nd goal. Didnt have to think about it and just reacted. But not for the first time we have seen him refuse to shot and miss chances that cost us. Today at 2-0 he was clear on goal and didnt shot. Again in the 2nd half? I dont understand why type of striker doesnt want to shot when clear on goal ]

Debate this more on the forum….www.arsenalaction.com/forum/

Well this Spurs fan is a bit shocked by all this heartache. I think you were a bit unlucky to lose after playing us off the park in the first half but that is the way football goes. Spurs have played better than that and lost to “top 4” teams for years so it was about time we got a result. There are plenty of teams would bite your hand off for Wenger. You won’t know what you’ve got until he goes.

Gallas was not fantastic he was in fact useless and if Chamakh was a finisher he would have had at least 3 today

You lot are pathetic! Look at yourselves, disgracing arguably the most important man in our proud clubs history. If you don’t like it, GET OUT and go and support the spuds. I’m fully behind the team and the manager 100%. How can anything posistive come out of slating them the team? Just look at Eboue, Song, Bendtner, Denilson and Fabianski.

I cant believe the some of the stupid comments,Wenger goes then what, we get beat by spuds every game. We are light years in front of spurs,if you really watched the game you would have seen they were rubbish. It was too easy but it went wrong when 5 mins from half time Cesc slowed it all down too walking pace, we lost the passsion drive and never got back. They only had 1 real chance when bale scored the first the other 2 we gifted. We cant defend free kicks, Newcastle and 2 today. This comes from having a keeper who no one knows what he will do and small defenders, either get new keeper or big CB. Chamakh was awsome when he first came but is rapidly becoming bentner, this is Wengers fault. If we can hold on till January, get Given and get RVP and Chamakh on together then today will be forgotten. Take Heart Bale and Vandrvart will leave next year and Harry will be England Manager .This will never happen again

How the fuck can people still stick by wenger and say it’s the teams fault. It’s wengers team he brought 99% of them players in bar players like wilshere. Wenger we don’t trust u anymore some of your decisions are disgraceful. Look at Barcelona 2night scored a few early goals and went on to score 8. Not sit back like our shower of shit.

Another thing we can go on as much as we like about signing a clinical striker but we can get David villa, fernando Torres or Edin dzeko who are great goalscorers and wenger will change their style of play stop them shooting outside the box he will have them drifting outwide and leaving an empty box like he did with adebayor and now chamakh. No 1 can blame chamakh for
Not shooting it’s wenger changing his style of play

listen to yerselves, bunch of mugs all of yer.
we had our 4th & 5th choice defenders on for all the game, 3rd & 4th choice strikers for most of the game (not to mention our best passing midfielder in huddlestone missing), we even gave you a 2 goal advantage & you still couldn’t beat us!
loving it all the way home!!

Shut up!!!! jesus christ we outplayed them & were the better team the whole match but we were just a bit unlucky today. We are two points back in the TITLE race, which is far less than any of you expected at the begining of the year (im pretty sure you said we would finish 6th). Wenger is still best manager in the premiership, we can still win this thing. By the way if your looking for someone to blame i would take a look at our captian. He doesn’t want to be here, he doesn’t care if we win or not, and he’s always injured. We should get rid of him in January and bring in someone that cares.

Some people don’t know the history between Arsenal and Spurs. Do you think Thierry Henry flew from the USA to watch an ordinary Premiership match? Gosh, the kids watching football today. Just like the players on parade. As for Chamakh, i think he sucks! Forget the number of goals he’s scored, or theone he scored. Our strikers get charged up whenever they smell Spurs, even Adebayor was in the mood for them. But Chamakh? *sighs*
In fact, all Wenger’s signings this season SUCKS!

this spurs fan thinks your answer to this is simple:

your glory days have been and gone.

all good things have to come to an end sometime, your time as plausible title challengers has pretty much gone now.

This game was not about luck, referees, injuries or any other excuse it was a fair reflection of where we and Spurs are at. Wenger has filled Arsenal with good offensive players who are weak defenders. Yes we look good going forward but we always look like we could give away a goal or more.

Two nil should be enough to win any game- but it never is when you collectively can’t defend.

Much as its painful to admit–Spurs are a stronger, more determined side who are better organised defensively than we are. This is partly because as a club they have invested significantly more in experienced players in their team despite having much less money available than us and a lower wage bill than we have . It is also because as a club we have become complacent we think we have a better manager and players than we do have.
Spurs have now eclipsed Arsenal having won the last 2 games that matter.
Instead of denying this and pretending like Wenger does, that team does not need to be able to defend, we need to do something about it- and that means looking at the coaching situation at the club and investing far more in the team. If Wenger is too inflexible to adapt his approach, then we need to get a competent coach who will.

I have to say WTF !! I don’t know whose fault it is as I didn’t watch the game. But man it hurts to lose to Spuds. Spuds are spending the money to bring in quality player and we are giving away good players and not investing. My question is why is Wenger sitting on those F**King $$ and not spending the money. He knows that we need atleast 2 good Center Backs who can defend. Look at Spuds they are diving in to get better players. Here are few things what should be done:

    a) Get 2 solid experienced CB’s. We have seen the young boys & they are not good enough to stand against the top 4 EPL teams.

    b) Get a good Defensive midfielder like Melo.

    c) Need a good left wing. Arshavin’s work rate is going down & he is 29 yrs old now.

    d) Get a top notch striker. RVP is made of glass & rest of the guys are not top notch. Chamakh is good but not good in finishing.

    e) Change the strategy. We need to play 2 strikers in front to keep on banging the goals. Look at Barca, once they had 2 early goals, they murdered the opponents by 8-0.

I love arsenal but slowly but surely hopes of wining tittles are fading. Seems like Emirates is becoming like losing ground.

    Thought fellow Gunners?

Anybody who thinks we were unlucky today needs to take a reality check. Unlucky happens once or maybe twice not over and over again. We lost today because, we are not good enough and are not good enough at doing certain simple things in games.

Whatever these jokers are being taught at Colney is obviously not enough to make them EPL or CL winners. This is Wenger’s team 100%, his style of play 100%, his tactics 100%-his fault 100%!

I was most def. in the AKB camp up till this season. I realise now that we shall not win anything with him and the players he has. If we think that all of a sudden this team is going to learn to defend, is going to learn to take it’s chances, is going to learn to kill of teams, is going to learn to stand up and win a “big” game then IMHO we are all sadly mistaken.

Wenger no longer has the football acumen to win the titles-It all boils down to him-no matter how much he wishes to deflect form the players.

Change is required-a breath of fresh air. Coaches, players manager, regime-something new is required becuse we keep soing the same fucking silly things over and over and over again!

the truth is we are 3rd in the league, 2 points off the leaders ,
    we cant defend FACT
but for a pathetic stupid hand ball (which i think was chamakh by the way not fabregas) we do not lose the game ,
spuds then get a free kick did we expect anything else with our defense?
chamakh was through on goal on a few occasions and should have scored but wenger blames it on him playing 80 mins in midweek? then why play him and leave out bendtner?
we need a tall commanding centre back, STILL
we need to buy shay given,
    we need to play 4-4-2
but 99% of arsenal fans would have taken our league position now if asked at the start of the season
if wenger persists with the same mistakes and doesnt address them in january the questions will need to be answered because for how long have we been saying the same things?
i feel sick after yesterday because they wasnt in the game and still won and scored 3 goals
please mr wenger buy what we need and the fans deserve!
    come on u gunners

The problem with the team is AW, i dont see the reason why a coach would tell strikers not to shoot outside the box. personally i dont see this club winning anything this season. wenger is got a poor mentality and the mockery is just too much for the fans here in Nigeria

Wenger needs to go. I think it’s time to start a campaign to remove him from our club. We need to get in Rijkaard or someone like that. Wenger hasn’t got a clue any more.

I was in the pub on Saturday, and everyone was singing “We want Wenger out”.

    Spur fan here in peace.
Never was the cliche of ‘a game of 2 halves’ so approprieate!
We saw the jekyll & hide charecter of both teams over the 95 mins played.
Arsenal coming out of the blocks at us like an express train & taking full advantage of Spurs persisitant inability to turn up in the 1st half away from home against the best the PL has to offer.
Spurs changing their formation at the break & doing one of their now trademark comebacks.
Big lessons to be learned from this one by both managers.
Harry needs to work on his choice of formation & personel for big games. To many attack minded midfielders left us wide open before the break.
AW needs to realise that defending well is a necessity if u want to succeed in the PL.
Defoe being allowed to win that header for our 1st goal & RvP & Fabregas, both of whom are under 6ft, finding themselves trying to outjump 6ft 5″ Kaboul for our winner should be be all the roof he needs to sort it out.
The younger gooners on here wont remember the days when thing between us were far more even & that ANYTHING was possible in a NLD wether u were H or A. It was often pure guts & spirit that won the day & it appears that at the moment we have far more of that than u boys.
We still have a way to go before we can say we are on an even tack again but were heading in the right direction!

Gooner Jerry…. you are a disgrace, son. Total disgrace. Spurs have eclipsed Arsenal???? Are you on Crack?? We are 2 points off the pace in the most competitive Prem for years….. They… are struggling to get intothe top 4…. If that’s eclipsed, I’ll have it every day of the week… North London Yid… North London is yours…..?? three words…Black and White… get back to us when you have won the PL, gone a season unbeaten or done something significant….. For **** sake, the law of random alone would dictate that you were due a result before 17 years so calm down little man… You won your cup final.. well done, now **** off and let teams who have actually done something get on with it. Paxtonjay…. our glory days have gone ?? When did you lot ever have any ?? And anyone who is shouting Wenger out on the back of a bad result should seriously have a long hard look at themself. Who’se done better for us? George Graham??
