[Ratings] Braga Beat Awful Arsenal 2-0

And it was all going so well in the champions league.. But 2 away defeats in a row have put our  hopes of qualifying for the Champions League knockout stage in doubt.

Well that’s what you get for resting players… But we had an easy group right?

Tonight we were just awful? Cant remember the Braga keeper having to make a decent save in the 90mins? No support for the striker. We gave the ball away countless times and deafened like a park team… But whats new?….Tonight again proved that the current 4-5-1 tactics is NOT working. This 4-5-1 Is just nonsense, how many times do we get hit on the counter attacks. The idea of playing 4-5-1 is so the back 4 get protected? Its pointless. Our striker has no support and our back for dont get protected. SO WHAT IS POINT!!!!

Certain players like Denilson, Djourou, Gibbs are not good enough and are well overrated…And it proves that our manager is clueless and needs to go…£200m in the bank and Wenger and the board are happy… Do they really care?

I feel sorry for the travelling gooners again, will be the same ones who were at shaktar away too..All that way to watch the team play with no heart of passion.

No doubt Wenger will blame the ref for not giving us a pen at 0-0 ..But Arsene. Dont you think this might have something to do with our inability to shoot on goal?

Fabianski : 5/10 [Didnt have a save to make and let in 2 goals]
Squillaci : 5/10 [Poor game, Went missing on both our goals]
Djourou : 5/10 [See above but not as bad]
Eboue : 5/10 [A few nice dives before getting carried off]
Gibbs : 5/10 [Some nice runs but always picked out the wrong final ball]
Fabregas : 5/10 [Took 2 freekicks very badly and that was it]
Rosicky : 4/10 [Did nothing]
Walcott : 7/10 [Our most dangerous player until Wenger took him off]
Denilson : 3/10 [Wenger said in todays press that he is world class, Proves that Wenger has lost the plot. No pace]
Wilshere : 6/10 [Very poor first half, But credit to him he worked hard in the 2nd]
Bendtner : 6/10 [No support, No service, Nothing he could have done]

Arsene knows. Channel 5 here we come….

And if anyone calls me plastic I’ll beat them with there own hands.
I’m absolutely sick of this fucking proxy project of Wengers. It’s fucking dreadful. Some of those players are just taking the piss.
You deserve one more chance Wenger but I’m sure you’re too stubborn to take it.

What the f*ck happend to the ref?? They were allowed to kick us down through 90 minutes and got 2 yellow cards. As soon as arsenal put in one tackle it was straight yellow. And how on earth can you give vela a yellow for diving??? It was the most obvious penalty I have seen in my entire life!! This match has to be investigated, I cannot believe this match was not fixed!!

Have you got space for one more Gooner to join the Wenga out brigade please?

Enough is enough now. He’s using this club as a personal f*cking experiment. We’re becoming a joke of a club!

Man o man …. this is awful …. what the f**k we are doing. I don’t have confidence that Arsenal can win against Manu, Chelsea, Real etc. Losing matches to mid level teams like WBA, Newcastle, Braga. the defeat to Spurs is still hurting now this ….. Seriously, this is way too much. Wenger would be frugal as ever & will not buy anyone or if he does they would be unproven and untested players. If we continue to play like this, don’t buy new players and change tactics then my prediction for this season:

    EPL: Finish 4th/5th
CL: If they qualify then they will be out in Quarter Finals
    Carling: Defeat in semi-finals
FA cup: Defeat in Semi finals

Its time to invest the f**king $$$$ or be ready to be a mid table team. Expect Spuds to dance on our heads. F**king spuds have qualified and we are still stuck. Wenger take a look …. we fans are hurt.

He’s too many small midfielders who can’t defend and make no contribution (Rosicky), too many thick players who lack concentration (Denilson, Diaby, Clichy, Eboue) and too many light weight defenders (Koschelny, Squillachi). What do we expect when Gilles Grimandi seems to be the man responsible for finding defenders. I’ve been a season ticket holder for 15 years and this side is just as bad as any of those from the mid nineties. He should have gone two years ago, yes we should have had a penalty and the ref was woeful but that doesn’t mean we can then defend like school boys!! The Arsene knows best brigade are as bad as he is!!

how the hell can the medical team pass fabregas fit if he says himself his hamstrings arern’t right. it was the same as bendtner and arshavin last season playing with injuries.
sadly there is too many players in the team that play with no passion. they will probably bounce back but when we’re close again they’ll inexplicably self-destruct.
call me crazy but i’d sell fabregas and van persie and replace them with players of the same quality that are’nt brittle

the really sad thing is, take away the rage, I am not really surprised. I only watched the second half but told my 10 year old ex Gooner son that we would be beaten. If you saw football focus last week you saw the root of our problem, ‘does anybody shout before you play a match?’ Fab has lost heart, Denilson has been doing this for years, shit what is the point of going on with this list. The saddest thing is the man who did so much for us now seems incapable/unwilling to believe what he sees. Forget the ref, that is just easy excuse, that team was only ever going to get a point at most. I’m not angry any more I am just sad.

WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF is going on, I saw the worst performance since the early 90’s against the old enemy. I was awaiting a real punishing game to make up for it tonight but what did we get punished by our lack of commitment.
Did we go to draw and end up having our pockets picked or did I just see a second piss poor performance…hmmm I know what I saw.
Yes the ref was poor but we should have murdered this team with ease. Where is the passion, pushing the other team for possession instead of letting them push us.
Poor Jack was running around in circles trying to do something, Fab was injured and we have a natural replacement in Nasri but used him only as a sub (our best player this year by miles).
I am off to watch crown green bowling, seems like more atmosphere and passion may be generated by the over 60’s.
Very disappointed but what is going wrong after our great start to the season.

Its an embrassment to suppot this club.. but i will until i die because i have since i was 6 but it is an embrassement and i don’t care that much anymore because its typical aresnal… I miss the days of tony adams and lee dixion even if we didn’t win every title we played good and with passion, now a team a forgeiners have taken over… Great

Not sure where to start. Not sure whether Wenger deserves to still be in charge. What I am sure of though is that 2nd goal that Braga scored was totally comical. This season has already been really weird and no team is dominating. There are strange results all round. People have been commenting negatively about the usual suspects i.e. dodgy CB’s and Flapianski. The latter has actually been playing well recently. My beef is with players such as Arseshavings, RVP and Cesc. Arshavin is a passenger in too many games for me and apart from 1 stunning game against scousers…..RVP is definately our sick note. The slightest touch and he is injured for months on end. His touch when he came on against Spuds was awful. And Cesc…as majestic as he can be sometimes it is obvious his heart is not in our club. I don’t care what anyone says this man wants out. We should cash in on him now. I reckon Nasri will get even better with him out of the way!

no brains in defence, no power or drive in midfield, no pace or craft up front, wallcott needs to play str8 down the middle. Bentner was poor iv always said he’s a boring slow player and does not excite me, arsenal need new players, and denilson is just awful, we need a powerfull animal in midfield and a serious striker who can bag loads of goals

I feel sad to be associated with thsde fickle supporters on here, they should f off and support Spuds and then see what it’s like to not win a league for 50 years not 6 years, no wonder spuds are laughing at us for such an over the top reaction to a game that in the long run won’t mean anything.it was so obviously a match fixed by UEFA there were so many questionable decisions, the referee was appalling.arsenal will win trophies this year without a doubt, a defeat today is not the end of the world although some people seem to think it is.I have been a season ticket holder for nearly 30 years and have seen a lot worse teams than this Arsenal one.Aaron ramsey played his first game today and we should be focusing on that.Ee will still qualify for the CL and there is no need to press the panic button yet. When we win against Villa on saturday we will be top of the league.People have very short memories I bet half of the Wenger out brigade were singing his praises a week ago after the Everton game.
    In Arsene we Trust

As low as it gets. You can forgive a team anything but a lack of fight and effort is just not acceptable. But then can you blame the players? Most of these players are not capable of the prequsites of any half decent side, that of destroying the other team while creating yourself. Wenger time to go.

I think you were harsh on jd .
I blame denilson the most for his slack work rate in defence and of course lord wenger . He can not fire up the boys , we need a new number 2 and a defence coach ….keown and overmars

you’re to cind on bendtner, he could trap the f.cking ball, no amount of service would help him tonight, absolutely useless

  23. Wilshere and Bendtner 6s?

    November 23, 2010 at 11:49 pm

There is no way either deserve such a high rating. Bendtner’s positioning made our formation a 4-6-0, with nobody in the box to finish the few attacking moves we had early on. As for Wilshere, he gave the ball away constantly and showed none of the magic we know he is capable of. Other than the back-four he was the most frustrating player. Both should have been subbed off around the 60th minute for Chamakh and Nasri.

the ref was a disgrace tonight , turns a blind eye to every tackle braga makes , and books an arsenal player for fuck all. but using the ref as an excuse is just papering over the cracks. the defense is shite, the quicker vermaelen comes back the better. it seems since we lost david dein that this team has started to slip into the ordinary. wenger is now surrounded with too many yes men starting with pat rice and going right through the club. we need somebody like dein back in the club that will telll it like it is, somebody that would have pushed wenger into buying a quality commanding CB and a good keeper when we first needed them about 5 yrs ago, these 2 cb that we have bought are as clueless as the 2 we got rid of this yr, they wouldnt be fit to read a ladybird book, never mind a football match, and they are useless in the air, you couldnt buy 2 players that are the exact opposite of what we needed. wenger needs to be sat down now and told in no polite way that whatever to fuck he has been at the last few yrs is not working, go back to his original blueprint and start winning things again.

    November 24, 2010 at 7:35 pm

Yes the ref was a disgrace but… if you have to rely on the ref giving you a penalty in the 79 minute so you can beat a team in 10 place in the Portuguese league then things are petty fucked up.

Not for the first time we played like at team that couldn’t give a shit. Wenger constantly telling us this is the strongest team he has ever managed is an insult to every Arsenal fans intelligence. This Mr Wenger is the worst Arsenal team I have seen for a long time.

Even the die hard AKBs must start asking exactly where are we going with this team.

I have to say I agree with most of your comments with 2 exceptions Gibbs isnt a bad palyer remember he is only just back from injury and he is less error prone than Clichy. I really do disagree with your assessment of Bentner he is absolutely crap no skills cant hold the ball up and runs backwards. We really need a strong CB like Mertersaker or Mexes and if it were up to me Id sell Bentner and RVP (great when he is fit BUT) and go get another brute of a striker like Andy Carrol or Dzeko or Id also go for a really solid midfielder like Schweinsteiger and how do we fund this easy sell Cesc and Rosisky and Asrhavin as well Dont get me wrong I love the Cesc of old but this season hes been nowhere and we might as well cash in do the sums Bentner and RVP £30m Cesc £45m Rosisky £5m Arshavin £10m New Striker £25m Schweinsteiger £25m and a center Back £15m net profit £25m and a real backbone alongside Nasri, jack Chamack and Theo and lets give Vela more of a run he could be good if he had more of a chance

I think that Arsenal fans are all upset because, it’s not that we don’t love Arsenal, it’s because we all have seen, for a few years now, what we obviously need and Wenger just wouldn’t go out and buy a Great CB, a Great Holding Midfielder and a Great Striker… and perhaps a Great Goal Keeper, but in all fairness Fabianski has been doing well and most of the goals he’s let in were due to his back line letting him down… it’s almost like Wenger has a bet on, that he can take a bunch of “just good” players and make them into great players and win!

We all feel this way because it’s clear as day what he has to do, but he just wouldn’t do it!! Think about it… he said in the summer that our biggest down fall of last season was the defence… so what was his solution to fix it? Buy a couple guys that are “just good” but not great And he likes to buy people that nobody really knows about… it’s all a gamble… and everyone he buys is somebody that needs developing rather than buying ready-made-enforcers of their position! Unfortunately a lot of Wenger’s decisions have been gambles and unfortunately he’s lost a good bit of the gambles of late… At some point he needs to stop gambling and get more serious and go out and get the personal on the field and off the field that’s gonna deliver!!! The fans deserve it!!!!!
