[Ratings] Nasri,Best player in the world on current form

Arsenal 2-1 Fulham

Nasri 14 mins - —- Kamara 30 mins
Nasri 75 mins —————————–

Two flashes of genius from Samir Nasri nudge jittery Arsenal past Fulham in a breathless encounter at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal Ratings

Fabianski 7.5/10 ( Two VERY good saves from Fabianski today, From Kamara in the first half and in the 88min from Gera, Poor kicking and at times looked uncomfortable but credit to him he saved us when asked to do so)

Sagna 7/10 ( Power down the right, Put in a great cross for Chamakh in the first half. Did well at the back)

Koscielny N/A ( Went down during the Fulham goal and didnt get back to his feet, Apart from that he looked good)
Sub ( Djourou 8/10 : Came on and did VERY well, Powerful in the air and showed some good pace)

Squillaci 6/10 ( Not his best game, stepped up and was playing a risky high line)

Clichy 8/10 ( Played very well today, Loads of pace going forward and was flying up and down the left wing)

Rosicky 6/10 ( Didnt have the best of games, Wasteful with his passing and didnt pull the trigger when clear on goal)
Sub ( Van Persie 7/10 Links the play very well and set up the winner )

Nasri 10/10 ( What can you say about this guy? Been our best player all season . 2 FANTASTIC goals. his first was just amazing but his 2nd was even better. Amazing skills and tight control.. on current form, The best player in the world )

A Song 5/10 ( Kills me to say this but it was like watching the Alex Song that was booed a few years ago. VERY poor today, His passing was all over the place. Gave away countless freekicks and the icing on the cake was when he ballooned when he had 2 free players to pass to )

Wilshere 6/10 ( Keep the ball well, But didnt have a great game. I wish he would have a dig at goal when free on the box rather then always pass to the side) (Walcott N/A Came on and gave us some much needed pace )

Arshavin 7.5/10 (Fine game, Looks back to his best. Set up the first goal and was involved in everything good going forward)

Chamakh 6/10 ( At 1-0 he had a chance 5 yards out with his back to goal and should have turned and hit it, But he went back and lost it. At times he needs to just go for go rather then look for the pass)

Very good game… i think Nasri is getting better game after game

    COME ON ARSENAL!!!!!

  2. Bossman says:

’twas quite a nervy game but thank God Nasri popped up with those moments of extreme ingenuity.
Chamakh needs to realize that he is a striker. He needs to be selfish atimes at the box. If we can shore up our defense, then we will be unbeatable (almost). UP GUNNERS!!!!

  3. Oskar says:

I thought Walcott was hopeless today. Just gave the ball away and didn’t put any pressure on the Fulham players.

  4. Nick says:

I’ll put Nasri ahead of the show pony, but not Messi.

  5. adil says:

wat annonys me is that chamakh instead of facing the goal gives the ball back 2 ppl coming in while he is already inside the box…. when arshavin put him in in the first half, he shud have done wat he did in the 2nd half(faking the defender and taking the shot)….

Sagna’s crossing is improving big time…. or is it the chamakh factor?
fabianski was great… walcott can run in but cant pass or cross… he has become a better player tho..

Nasri.. so freaking good… had him since the start of the season in my fantasy team but never made him my captain—- wat a regret….

why wud fabregas wanna leave now??? i dont think he is gonna…

  6. adil says:

and even tho squillaci hit kos… its a head injury and the referee shud have stopped play but he didnt.. wat a mistake… they always make them against us…

and if felt good when we started wasting time cause revenge is a dish best served cold and it was fucking great to see hughes whine abt it….

  7. wolfgang says:

It was a hard fought battle. The defence is still not tight . Against the red face and Chelsea, the defenders must not make mistakes which could cost Arsenal the game.

  8. Sim says:

Can’t wait for MotD, Nasri and Arshavin firing us along in difficult games is what we’ve lacked in the last couple of years. Wait until we have Fab and RvP back fully fit in that attacking formation!!! How can you say Nasri is the best player in the world? Haven’t you forgotten that amazing player next door who wins Spurs games every week (well against Inter anyway). We mustn’t forget that apparently our time is over and Spurs are the best club in London. That’s why they’re top, oh wait…

  9. Davi says:

@Adil – while technically you are correct, and I agree we always seem to let in dodgy goals, like the one at villa last week, I find it hard to blame the ref for the goal today. Kos tried to battle on immediately after the injury and there was not much time to react and stop play. I put it down to pure bad luck.

To be honest, it turned out well for us because frankly djourou should have been starting anyway. He is growing into a top defender and we seem to concede less goals wiht him in the side.
Fulham got a bit of luck on their goal but they almost got through a bunch of times and were narrowly given offside, which seemed to be more by luck than judgement, particularly as one of those times kamara actuallly looked ONside, and we got a bit lucky. My point is that kos and squilaci werent looking convincing, and while we were bossing the game, fulham looked very close to scoring. Djourou brings a bit more calmness to the defence. I still think kos is going to be a top defender for us, but at the moment djourou is really playing well and deserves a place in the side.

  10. Baluku Halid says:

thanks to NASRI and the entire team spirit but we need to improve much to be champs. chamakh, is some how lost, he need to knw his the main striker and all fans watch him need him to score, not just passing balls even where he can shoot to kill. chamakh should be too fast, physical and quick on the ball. take shoots and will be a threat in the league.

  11. TheBoyInRed&White says:

But I thought Bale was the best player in the world? And that sp*rs were the best team in the country? It seems odd given that sp*rs are fifth in the table and Bale has only had a few good games, but that’s what I keep being told…

  12. tahsein says:

nasri who?son of drakula from the planet ape is the best!

  13. Vivas says:

I would have put Sagna ahead of Clichy and think Tom deserves a bit more credit. Surprisingly the problem today was the midfield and Song in particular. Think he was left on as a spare centre back. Dickson Etuhu totally bossed him

  14. JSP says:

Nasri best in the world!!! Guess that means Barcelona think they have the right to sign him for £30 in the summer. Watch for them to come knocking. Perhaps give them that waster Fabregas and tell them to get lost!!! :-)

  15. Jose Antonio Reyes says:

everyone should stop gettin hard over bale just cause he ran past maicon a couple of times and then crossed the ball. maicon who is a better winger than he is a full back.and they should start noticing nasri who pisses all over bale at this current time. na na na na na na na samir nasri nasri samir nasrii!

  16. Pooner says:

There is only one comment to make tonight:

We are top of the league!

  17. Bermy Boy says:

Great Hard fought game!!! Nasri is on fire!!!! Arshavin is looking good!!! What was with Walcot running with the ball until he litterally ran out of bounds? No cross, no nothing, just ran the ball out!! It reminded me of Forest Gump when he kept running and the crowd had to hold up a sign that said stop!! LOL Maybe we need to make a sign for Theo that says “Cross The Ball”. :-)

  18. erm no says:

have to disagree, the first goal was much better than the second. it was stunning.

  19. Craigie says:

Nasri, Nani, Ronaldo and Messi are all brilliant this season. Nasri and Nani suffer because the rest of their teams are poor.

  20. Craigie says:

And of course if you asked the British press Bale’s 5 good games out of 25 make him the best player in the world.

  21. DKD says:

to be honest, Nasri is the best player in the EPL. but Messi is the one in the world…

  22. KevInKettering says:

He’s not even the best midfielder in the France squad, you belm.

Not fit to lace Gareth Barry’s boots.

  23. Steve says:

Like when Nasri waltzed past Barry at Eastlands…?

Gareth Barry should take a pundit role with the amount of ball watching he does.

  24. KevInKettering says:

“Like when Nasri waltzed past Barry at Eastlands?”

    Terry Butcher megged Maradona once…

  25. arsenal4ever says:

nick, messi wouldnt perform that much in PL!!!!

  26. ck says:

tahsein: You must mean Carlos Tevez, the unfrozen caveman footballer.
