[Ratings] Gunners comeback to take all 3pts

Arsenal 2-1 Everton
  • Arshavin 70
  • Koscielny 75
  • Saha 24

Arsenal came from behind to further prove their title credentials in a hard-fought clash at the Emirates.

Everton controversially went ahead when Seamus Coleman’s through-ball found Louis Saha, who seemed to be two yards offside, but he fired into the corner.

Substitute Andrey Arshavin levelled when he volleyed Cesc Fabregas’ chipped pass in from close range.

Arsenal’s superior possession was rewarded when Robin van Persie’s corner was headed in by Laurent Koscielny.

Ratings

Szczesny : 7.5/10 ( nothing he could do about the goal. Made a fine save from Bilyaletdinov to stop it going 2-0)
Sagna : 7.0/10 (Decent game, Solid and supported Walcott well)
Koscielny : 8.5/10 (Scored the winner and was fantastic all night)
Djourou : 8.0/10 ( Playing very well next to Kos)
Clichy : 7.5/10 (Fine game, Just wish we went for goal at the end after a great run)
Fabregas : 7.5/10 (Set up Arshavin with a great pass, decent game but missed a great chance in the first half)
Rosicky : 6.0/10 ( Looks way off the pace replaced by Arshavin : 7.5/10 (Took his goal very well)
Walcott : 7.5/10 (Busy boy, worked his socks off and was always willing to go at them or test the keeper)
Song : 6.0/10 ( Was bullied by Fellaini who won everything. Injuried and replaced at H/T by Diaby : 7.5 (Handled Fellaini much better)
Wilshere : 6.0/10 (The game passed him by after he got a stupid booking after 5mins Subbed Bendtner 7.0/10 (Came on and we went 4/4/2, almost scored with a great overhead)
Van Persie : 7.5/10 (Stated the game well and set up Cesc with a great backheal that we should have taken the lead from. After that he battled and looked up for it)

Man of the match :Koscielny : rose like a salmon to score the winner!

I thought in the first half the defending was very bad. Every time a long ball came the arsenal defenders were mess up!
But overall good match and result

So pleased the way we dug in.
Djourou and Kos are playing far better than most realise. This is not a one-off, they have formed a good partnership.
Agreed on Diaby, his strength was a real asset in the second half, and Fellaini lost his and Evertons control of the midfield. And once Arsenal take control of the midfield, we almost always score and win.
VP looking sharp, AA is slowly regaining some form and fitness, at a crucial part of the season….throw hopefully Vermaelen into the mix and AFC are looking hard to beat and for once, we look strong in depth.
We really have a great chance of winning something this season.
Positivity is important from the fans as well as the players, and this group of players looks like they might realise their potential.

Cracking effort second half. Subs were key by wenger, you could see the passion in the performance and that our boys were desperate for the win! Great!

Agree with all of the above………. the timing of wenger’s substitutions changed the game at just the right time. Great performance all round!!
