[Ratings] Arsenel & Wenger Bottle It In The Final

Self destruction and a lack of bottle!!

Today we saw 2 totally different teams. A team that turned up in suits and this was the biggest games of there lives in Birmingham.. And a team that turned up in tracksuits and just thought it was gonna be easy and we would win our first trophy in years. But it just shows that a team with heart and bottle will always beat a team with skill.

This team has no bottle and never will!…Bottle isn’t found or something you can give players, it isn’t learned!! You either have it or you don’t and only Jack Wilshere showed it today.

Wenger speaks about the great mental strengths and spirit of this team, but where is this when we most need it?.. at the tail end of last season when we could of gone on and won the league we fell apart. And today, the chance of WINNING something and putting an end of 6 years of hurt vs a team 16th in the league and of course.. WE BOTTLE IT!!

Wenger had a nightmare today, why did Rosicky start in the Cesc role and not Nasri? and also his subs didnt make us stronger they weakened the team.. Even with 2 stikers on the pitch Wenger moved Nic to the wing and played 4-5-1? WHY?

Nothing will change at Arsenal until (A) Wenger leaves or (B) starts spending the cash of quality players (Not players like Chamakh,Koscielny & Squillaci.

A sad day for us fans, But its nothing new… I really wouldn’t blame Cesc & Nasri if they quit the club at the end of the season.

Arsenal Ratings

Szczesny 5.5 [ Big game for the young man and he didnt cover himself in glory]
Sagna 4.5 [Gifted the ball away for the first goal and had an overall poor game]
Clichy 6.0 [Worked hard but didnt have anything positive on the game]
Djourou 3.5 [Terrible game, left his man (Zigic) for the first goal, lost his head for the 2nd goal]
Koscielny 3.5 [The new Gus Ceaser, What was he doing? CLEAR THE BALL!!.. £8m on a 2nd division CB and at times he looks it]
Song 2.0 [ The worst game ive seen Song play in years. Looked slow and gave the ball away so many times. I cant see how this guy is the best DM player at a club like Arsenal]
Wilshere 9.0 [The only Arsenal player who put in 100%. worked his socks off and had a great game. Didnt give the ball away and at the heart of everything good]
Rosicky 3.0 [Has stole a living for the past 5 years and when he is fit he is gash!.. Why did Wenger play him in the middle and not Nasri?]
Arshavin 6,5 [ Worked hard and set up the goal for RVP]
Nasri 7.5 [ Tested the keeper with some powerful shooting. Should have played in the middle]
Van Persie 8.0 [Scored a world class volley before coming off.. Lets just hope its nothing major]

Post match Wenger said our injuries were ‘too much’. Isn’t it so ironic that McLeish went out in January and bought the striker he needed….Martins while we opted not to ‘kill’ players.

It’s just sad, so f.cking sad to loose this way. Hopefully Robin will come out of this ok because otherwise it’s hard to stay positive… being an arsenal fan is not easy but still they absolutely deserve to get some silverware. COYG!!!!

What about the result against Barcalona? They showed no bottle there did they?
You are a fuckwit, any team can beat another on their day and, as poorly as Arsenal played, to say they turned up and showed no bottle is nonsense! You think they wanted to lose the game? Why not wait til the end of the season and pass comment then..

“Nothing will change at Arsenal until (A) Wenger leaves or (B) starts spending the cash of quality players” Sums it up perfectly. But he will never leave because of his cowardly supporters who are afraid of the unknown that a change in management will bring. Time we took a risk, a gamble or whatever you want to call it because if it stays as it is then its unacceptable. How many other clubs of Arsenals stature would put up with 7 years without a trophy. We have stagnated and need someone to fire a rocket up our preverbial arses!

I am so disappointed in this write up.Did you watch the match at all? All your ratings are senseless. \do you support this club at at all?. A true fan will continue to support his club in times like thi and i still believe we can still achieve something this season. the boys should move on from this and keep their heads high.,

    February 27, 2011 at 7:24 pm

Well said. It’s stupid to start roSICKy – and especially in cesc’s position when he’s not been in the 1st team often enough. Shit for trying to do a backheel goal and wasted a good chance. It’s wrong to take out arshavin who was doing well, instead of rosicky. The moment arshavin was substituted, carr ventured more often up the flanks to help their attack. Tortoise B52 with an badly off-form chamakh together in attack? That’s a joke by wenger for the fans to ponder. Song is he tired?, played like denilson… or worse. Defence? You get what you pay for. Wenger’s penny-wise but pound-foolish in transfer market.

    Who the f*ck are Arsenel?
If you’re going to write a blog about a football club, at least learn how to spell the name of the club you’re writing about.

kay! stop kidding yourself you’re still running away from the truth, IF ARSENAL CAN’T WIN THE CARLING CUP….THEY CAN’T WIN ANYTHING ELSE.

you really think if they struggle to beat ipswich over two legs and lose to birmingham, they still have a chance of doing something? when the pressure’s on too many of em hide in their shells. rosicky, song nasri and arshavin before the 1st birmingham goal looked like passengers basically waiting for someone else to write their desitiny’s for them, after the goal a couple of em woke up. But outside of jacky boy and robin v.persie i wouldn’t give anyone from the midfield up a decent rating

im in total agreement with you, wenger is turning us into a bunch of losers.Im not happy with that, it wouldnt have happened under grahams helm not a chance he was a winner, since grahams supreme defence disbanded wenger has won nothing he is overated and a loser i want the frenchman out!love you Arsenal!

the rating are very accurate. JW was head and shoulders above the rest. the defence were all very poor today and the midfield couldn’t hold it with song looking so nervous.
I cant explain why the team didn’t turn up. Loss of Cesc? Occasion too big? No idea but whatever it was we bottled it.
against Barca we were the underdogs so had nothing to do with bottling a situation we should have capitlised on which is what happened today.
many will focus on the mistake and I dont condone it, but over 90 mins Brum deserved it way more than we did. The moment I saw cesc limping off the other night, I thought we’d lose, as I know what this team is like. It will be like this until wenger leaves. Wenger can do things no other manager can do but he also costs us games in ways that many other managers wouldn’t.

the question should now be asked by all gooners great and small, when is all this youth project going to pay off, because it looking like arsene we aren’t going to win any trophy’s again full stop, and this is exaclt what patrice evra gets under our skin with when he says this, WINNING TROPHIES IS ABOUT KNOWHOW, and when you’re leaving cesc out on a thursday (instad of the morning of the game) and worrying about barcelona next week that aint knowhow?

so when is this gonna pay off?

    February 27, 2011 at 7:43 pm

i am highly dissappointed in arsene selection today, admitted we have injuries to walcot & cesc but that nothwithstanding why isn’t Eboue playing in place of walcott and Nasri to hold the fort for cesc,Arsene cost us this match because to me attack is the best form of defence, had it been he used Eboue on the flank our attack would have been more potent because Rosiscky was absolute rubbish today

God I am trying not to do a knee jerk reaction!!!

    1. Congrats to B-ham they were the better team (TEAM) team.
    2. This hurts it hurts it just fucking hurts.
    3. I hate to loose by a fuck up.

    Now the jerk;
Rosicky is past it, for what ever reason. I am a big fan of his and could not wait for him to come back. He looks back but it just does not click anymore. I like Szczesny stick with him, if he can shake this off at this age i think he may just be the future if he screws the pooch in till the end we stick with him.
It is time for MOUTH Bendtner to go to Germany (I like him just pissed), but damn best ever a goal would have been nice. Song did look out of sorts but not anywhere like Rosicky. I do not know what was up Clichy made zero runs it seemed. Ash looked like he was trying for everything pace looked pretty good still winning late balls. He is just not blistering and out there he is only average. He needs to be in the Bergkamp role with . If names look strange sorry my celly keeps tying to make them other words. Oh well off to booze till sleep comes. Heart broke and sad Come on you Reds ARSENAL,ARSENAL, ARSENAL
    Grats Bham
    Pray VP ok

Are you a fuckwit? A true Arsenal fan? Come back to this writeup in the morning and see what utter bollocks you’ve writen, the only truth in what you’ve said is Birmingham won the Carling Cup.
We’re all hurting after that game, but it’s times like these that set the true fans apart from the wannabe’s and you mate, are a wannabe. I’m 17 and the fucking stick I’ll get tomorrow going to a college in Birmingham will make my life not seem worth living! But what do I do about it? I don’t fucking call for Wenger to leave, I don’t give players ratings of 2, 3 just becuase we lost the game. I hope we win fucking everything this year from now on so I can come back to this shit piece of a blog and laugh in your face you cunt!
Coming back from Barca was just luck was it? No bottle required against the BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD! It’s fans like you who get the team down, Wojech and Koscenely will be fucking killing themselves for the mistake they made, every player makes a mistake and it’s just our bad luck it was today! Did messi get a sniff at the ems? No, cos koscenley kept him out of it! Should Wojech get assigned to the bench or sent back to poland? No, cos he saved us from a second goal which kept us in the game, he’ll be a world class keeper in the future.
You make me so fucking angry I wanna fuck you over in the face!

who gives a fuck anymore arsenal have become predictable and boring. same old defensive mistakes give the ball away constantly and try to pass it in to the net. its a shame we have the best young player on the planet wilshere, rvp has no equal in his position when fit, fabregas and nasri are world class. but we have other players that are just not up to it, the defense is a total shambles. people got over excited about the barca game but it was obvious barca took the foot off the gas, they wil not make the same mistake at the nou camp. arsenal try to pass the ball to death thing is we have players that constantly give the ball away in dangerous positions and it happens in every game. fact is football is in a massive decline players are overpaid and spoilt. winning is no longer important. most of these pansies just want to line their pockets dont want to pick up injuries so they can prolong their careers and make as much money as possible. you dont have to look no further than man utd top of the league, look how shite that team is full of has beens and not good enoughs, yet they are still top and playing some of the worst football you are ever likely to see. put any of wengers previous title winning teams up against this current bunch and i guarantee the match would be over within 15 minutes, henry would have a hatrick in 10 minutes against this defence. this season will be a repeat of the 2008 season today is when it all unravels, and these bunch of wankers wont give a fuck because they have their nice mansions a garage full of cars and dont want for a thing, is winning the carling cup important to them not a fucking chance.

realist, you really are the realest…i’m a suffering arsenal fan right now cuz of the greatness of the previous generation from 1999 (when i started supporting) to 2005. right now im just limp and emotionless. i can’t feel for this team. i’d be happy for cesc and van persie to go join trophy winning teams. they dont deserve all this

  23. FoolishGooner

    February 27, 2011 at 8:39 pm

Congratz B’Ham City, they did deserve to win. They are a team who know their place in Football! AFC came to the pitch scared to fail, you cant be afriad of failure if you want to win. Starting Rosicky was a mistake not substituting him was a massive let down. The Pitch and the occassion was too big for too many of our starting eleven today. And that is how we lost the cup! End of it. Alex Macliesh had an agenda… defend arsenal and beat them with set-peices it work to perfection. Our manager the Great BOSS is blind or leaves a unilateral planet. He knew B’ham’s plan yet he starts 4 small players in the middle, i know Diaby might have not been available but he certainly would have allowed Jack to join the attack. He would have helped song defensively offered highT in that second ball and created as much as Rosicky if not more. Bad substitutions again; taking out Arshavin why? Nonetheless we lost this game from the start, Nasri was isolated on the right Sagna had noone to cross to, Robin had to come and get the ball instead of making runs, Jack had noone to pass to Cause Rosicky was OFF/wrong places at the wrong timeS. Unbelievable staff we became so dependent Theo’s runs because he sets the pace for the rest of the forward/midfielders to catch UP with him. IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD THOUGH,THIS WAS JUST THE CURLING CUP FOR GOD SAKES! pairing more injuries we will finish strong. Mr. Wenger stop playing Chamak and Bendther together, and adopt to the your opponontents tactics. QUIT BRINGING KNIVES IN A GUN FIGHTS YOU CRAZY OLD MAN!

    February 28, 2011 at 12:44 pm

Well I think there was a fear of failure in the team and some players did not turn up. This could work two ways in the future. This team will learn from the bitter diaappiontment of losing this game and kick on….or collapse.

This team has collapsed every season they are near to winning something…..could it be different?

Wenger should have respected birmingham more as he failed to consider their strenghts
