Player having a medical at Colney today

Word has reached us that a player will be having a medical at Arsenals training ground at London Colney “TODAY”

From what is being reported in L’Equipe, it is likely that this player is Gervinho. However there are rumours floating about that it could also be Gary Cahill.

Hopefully will find out who later today.

last chance saloon for AW – if we get SAMBA, CAHILL and NASRI stays and we get another couple of quality midfielders then OK we have a chance for top 4 but thats it – major signings are really needed to go for premiership now.

  2. Tom C says:

    Its only Dwayne Chambers!!!

  3. Mikee Dee says:

    Arsenal 4 Ever

  8. PATRICK says:

Very clearly all the contributors sound as all of us are; fruustrated with this man.He has become an anti climax of monumental boredom.I too is a frustrated Gunner. I guess it’s Micheal Jackson, visiting from the grave.Don’t blame me,while other clubs sign players less than two days after being linked,we make ours look like we are signing Messi,Ronaldo,Pele and Maradona rolled into one and we earn up with an old hack

  9. Craigie says:

Why do we even do medicals. We’ve had players sign for us with dodgy knees, dodgy hips, dodgy ankles, dodgy muscles and dodgy hearts and nothing seems to have stopped them.

  10. Rv says:

Wait and see Arsenal is not going to sign anyone…. will be a long hard season. Like the lady said the board should be sacked first for taking the piss.

  11. Sleek says:

It’s probably Alex Bacon Face Ferguson after Manure accepted a bid in the region of ten pounds for his services!

  12. michael b bolu says:

hope is not squilacci checking if he still has d strength to play 2more season 4 arsenal? Plss am tired of all this everyday speculation about one player or d other, let get serious 4 ones. Man utd are d champs but still have signed 3quality players.

  13. mohammed md says:

Well i hope is not head line the media is trying to make

  14. Adam says:

Don’t worry, it was Wenger. He just stopped off to see how much he could save on 500 tea bags from Costco and nearly had a heart attack.

  15. asd says:

The only thing that’s boring and depressing about this fantastic club are you f**king wanker armchair “fans”, do the real fans a favour and sod off to Citeh will ya?

  16. PTangYangKipperBang says:

    Senderos is back!

  17. soul says:

It was not Gerv. He is in France and flying to London Thursday. I do not know or have heard who it is. Nasri has agreed an extension I do not know if it is signed.

  18. schoolboys 76 says:

It pains me to say it but fair play to united. They win the league, get to the CL final, FA cup semis and are half a bill in debt. They are one of the cheapest grounds in europe to watch premier league or champions league football and they still go out and spend over 50 mill on 3 average players. admittedly they have potential but you wouldnt see our arsene taking a punt like that. Fergie needs a goalie and boomp straight in with a 16 mil bid for a keeper. The other two are nothing more than squad players for the next season or two.

    WHERE IS OUR AMBITION?

It pains me to say it but look at the Arsenal, we got knocked out of the champs lge at the first knockout stage (so we beat Barca, it means diddly squat), we lost to the worst footballing team in the prem (who also got relegated) in Coca Cola cup final, relatively we have little debt and alledgedly get 60K at every home game. Players want to leave and we are trawelling that bastion of footballing excellance the french premier league for top drawer players, oh, and we charge the highest prices in WORLD football to see a game. Someone please tell me what footballing tenplate we are attempting to emulate???

That letter wenger wrote to the arsenal fan was nothing more than a carefully scripted piece of propoganda tosh and should be treated with the contempt it deserves

  19. bob mcnabs cat says:

    asd,

    you are a moron,

    armchair fans?
    sod off to citeh?
is that how you cope with alternative views to yours? You really have got a difficult life ahead of you.

Stick with your imaginary friends and keep reading your harry potter for stimulation

Wenger is a spent force, we have listened to his bullshit for the past 6 years without any critisism but a time comes when fans need to make a stand. We will never win the prem again with wenger in charge and no matter how many changes to the squad he makes we will continue to slip into mid table mediocrity. Lets face it we have slipped from champions to fourth over the past 7 years and we will be 7th or 8th in the next 6 years unless we sack the board and manager forthwith.
Like the lady said we need new, younger, vibrant and enthusiastic people at the healm, fresh ideas and a new direction. Dont be fooled by all the talk of new players, it is just papering over the cracks. There will be barely 40 thou at the emirates this season for anything other than blue chip matches. The majority have had enough and you idiots that have been hand reared by wenger over the past 12 years or so need to let go. We were great before Wenger and we will be again once he has gone.
The locker is empty, wenger has run out of ideas and the fans have finally woken up!!

  20. Kevvy says:

I agree with the cat, I finally believe that AW has lost the plot, supported by the tepid excuse for a Board, who have all lined their pockets while the fans keep paying up more and get less in return.

Man U have already signed 3 players, AFC 1 (a 21 year old Finnish Intl no less). We’ll end up with nothing this summer and Fabregas and possibly leaving. Doesn’t seem to be much noise about Bendtner, Denilson, Almunia, Squilacci being sold.

We’ll end up 7th or 8th this season.

  21. nioman says:

goodshout bob mcnabs cat most of what u say is sad but true!

  22. Vieirapiresbergampdiawara says:

@ Patrick, you’re obviously also a prize cun*, you fu**ing mug.

  23. Andy McNab and Chris Ryan, too says:

i really don’t get your sort, Bob, I really don’t. Are you a season ticket holder? Were you one of the few score who ‘marched’ before the last home game demanding greed be kicked out of football? You roll with the good times and the bad, you must remember the club in the 80s, notwithstanding ’89?

Your rant reads like a template you’ve been using for the past three years; your type of ‘supporter’ is only content when we f**k up if only to allow you to pontificate about us other ‘mugs’ who choose to support our club by singing the players names when they’re wearing the colours rather than booing or abusing players (yep, I talking about the fat drunken c*** at the Blackburn home game in the aisle next to me).

You and your sort have changed the tune about bringing Dein back in to the fold, now that old Lady Nina posted her ramblings, presumably because her confidentiality clause expired allowing her to keep her trousered millions received for the sale of her shares.

If there’ll be less than capacity at the ground this season, why is there still a waiting list for season tickets? You carry on ‘supporting’ the club how you want, mate, as long as you think it’s correct to ignore the three titles and cups Wenger’s won since he’s been here, or the fact that we have the best stadium in the country bar manure’s mausoleum, or that we’re well placed to cope with UEFA’s farcical fair play regs in a couple of years. Bravo, mate, bravo.
