Wenger and the board must wake up or leave the club

No doubt many of you are in shock at the news that Cesc, Nasri and Clichy could be leaving the club for almost £65m? No doubt some of you are upset that the manager is thinking about replacing them with players like John O’Shea, Barton and Odemwingie? No doubt some of you are angry that the likes of Denilson, Rosicky, Almunia are still at the club… Welcome to the real world and life under Arsene Wenger since 2005

This is nothing new… Wenger has been doing this for years. Selling our best players to the highest bidder, regardless if they are our rivals (Adebayor & Toure) and not invested that money back into the team on quality and signed cheap replacements… Do you really think that when we cash in on the likes of Cesc and Nasri that Wenger will turn over a new leaf and start spending on players like Benzema and Mata? Wenger will do what he has always done. He will cash in on our best players and sign cheaper, untested players from france, kids or stop gap signings like Squilliaci Silvestre, Campbell, Lehmann.

Can you really blame players for wanting to leave and for losing faith in Wenger?

We have all known for some time that we have been weak at the back and have needed 2 powerful CB but yet Wenger has faffed around for years and not addressed this. Players want to win things and just because Wenger and the current board have ZERO ambition in life other then make a profit and finish in the top 4, you cant ask players like Nasri, Cesc and soon RVP to be happy with this mentally and keep dreaming that next season we will be that superpower and new Barca that Wenger thinks we will. How much longer can we dream this?

People that have followed this blog know this is not a knee-jerk reaction. We have said this for a long time, and Wenger is the root of ALL our current problems at the club.

The board are to blame for giving him the power to handle non footballing issues and almost making him unsackable. His job/role should be nothing more then managing the team and tactics.. Not sorting out the clubs finances. How did we get to this stage where we are allowing players to leave and not tied them down to new long term contracts a long time ago. Now we are going to lose Nasri for the same price as Henderson and Clichy for £7m.. But this is nothing new. Cole/Flamini where the same. Who is allowing this to happen?

But having said I dont even trust Wengers tactics anymore. His current 4-5-1 with wingers on the wings has to be 1 of the most frustrating systems I have ever seen in my 30 years of watching the gunners. We keep the ball, pass from side to side and refuse to test the keeper when given a chance. And then we finally cross the ball into the box with is normally a bad ball in or when its a decent cross we have nobody in the middle.

And Arsenal want to charge us 6.5% more to see this next season?

Arsenal have become the most expensive football team in Europe to support..FACT!! With that you would think/hope that we invested in World Class players… Do you remember when we moved from Highbury we were told that we would now be able to fight with Man Utd for the best players in the world?…Look at us now? Selling our best players to Man City or anybody who is willing to give us the best price like a cheap whore.

It kills me to say this but RIP Arsenal FC, You have taken fans like me who have supported the club for over 30 years and ripped our hearts out with this lack of ambition and profit making project. I wont be spending any money towards the club on new kits or any merchandise in the future and I advise all Arsenal fans to do the same and make a stand. Turn up to the stadium in black and when they say ” today’s attendance is 60.012″ and you look around and see 1000s of empty seats thing to yourself was lift at Highbury so bad that we moved to this?

Wenger has turned us into a farm, producing cattle and a feeder club for the clubs willing to spend.

I cant take this anymore.. What has our club become?

And people still trust this man and the board?….Go ahead, call me plastic, tell me to f**k off down the lane. Nothing you say to me will make me feel anymore lower then what I currently feel.

Next season Im sure we will see Wenger smashing more bottles of water, I just hope that this summer is his last and we can get back to being a club that wants to win things again soon and not a club thinking about the pound notes.

First it was Ade and Kolo, now its Cesc, Nasri and Clichy… Next it will be Van Perise.. Robin told Dutch radio last night “we are talking yes, but I want to win trophies and if I don’t think i can, I won’t sign, this summer will decide”

Go ahead, tell me how the likes of JET are going to be the new drogba, tell me to go and support Utd or City.

I really don’t care anymore .. If this is the way you want the club to be handled then stick by Wenger and the board. if you can still trust this man then you keep dreaming.

RIP Arsenal FC… Buy cheap,sell high,rip off fans,win f**k all

I hate to admit this but you have hit the nail on the head, we are a feeder club, we keep the rubbish like Denilson, Rosicky, Almunia because they are paid an over the top wage which doesn’t reflect their progress. If WEnger screws up again he should go its as simple as that, the club won’t want him to go as he makes too much money for the share holders.

If Wenger doesn’t get anyone and the gunners can win the title, all be forgottena nd forgiven. The point is these same players have been given more than enough time to prove they can be winners and sadly have failed when it mattered most. Therefore an injection of new players, preferably with epl experience,is of utmost importance.
We can forget about financial doping. Does the red face/mancinni care about the millions or billion debt? They only care about winning games and trophies. Sadly Wenger has failed in both. He wants to play pretty soccer without winning. That is sucidal and when questioned he rebuts by saying qualifying for the cl is good enough.
I am afarid he is at the wrong club and if he doesn’t win anything his time will surely be up.

I think you are not well mate, this is hardly a knee-jerk reaction, its been going on since 2005 (read the article properly) and it has nothing to do with what the press say, the facts are there for all to see.

After last seasons farce I expected the club’s stance would change regarding its failed transfer policy, and I am still hoping, although not with any real optimism, this is the case and we will see some real quality signings. If it doesn’t I agree Wenger and his supporters on the board must go!!

Spot on post. Garbage like Denilson, Rosicky, Bendtner, Eboue, Almunia, all paid too much for what they produce. No one wants them. They want our cream. Idiots like Gazidis gives high wages and long term contracts to players who can’t defeat 2nd division teams. Whereas Nasri who cost is £15m isn’t tied down to a long term contract.

    Fantastic management. Run by clowns.

I have supported Arsenal since the 1940 and I agree this team has no heart no ambition no desire to win anything. Ask your self one question would any of the top teams buy our players other than RVP,
Nasri the rest are crap. Defenders who cannot defend, midfields who run around like head less chickens wingers who cannot pass a ball all speed and no skill, strikers bought cheap (free) and it shows. I will not mention the crap that as been bought over the years and failed big time. come on wake up. We are the ARSENAL

Spot on article. Facts are facts. Arsenal will not spend any decent cash. Happens every year yet there are fans who are still bleating its only pre season sepculation. Wake up people!

Again we will sign cheap replacements and lose our best players. Wilshere, RVP, TV will follow soon. But its ok we gave Denilson over 150 games to prove how crap he is. Don’t even start me on Almunia, Diaby, Eboue, Rosicky & Vela. All on long overpaid contracts.

We are a feeder club at best with a owner/board who is happy with 4th every year. Why can the fans not see this. How many seasons do you need to see?!

If we don’t stand up we will lose more good players then we will really be stuffed. Look at Man U, sign 50 mil of players early in the window. Bed them in and get on with it. We are a joke. Where has our AFC gone?!

Oh my God this piece is the real bomb, am so elated reading this piece as it has further confirmed my position and am happy that there are a lot of arsenal fans like me out there that are very frustrated and disillusioned with Wenger and the Boards antics making us fans to look like fools very self centered group of people. I am made to understand that he Mr Wenger gets 2 million Pounds commission each time he qualities AFC for the Champions league not bothering about the feelings of the fans base over the inability of the club for not winning any trophy

I will be the most happiest man on planet earth if the fans can boycott all home games from the start of the season to express their disappointment and displeasure over the inability of Wenger and the board not showing enough hunger for glory on the filed of play ,that is if they fail to strengthen the team with quality players mostly at the back line, the mid field and the front.

This self styled belief of Mr Wenger must be looked into and changed if we want arsenal to go back to his glorious days.Just like Evra`s comment about arsenal before we played them at their home I think at the quarter final stage of the FA Cup last season, though I was very angry about that comment but to be honest he was right.

Mr Wenger has a very bad attitude he feels that he is Mr know it all,but am very sure that very soon both him and the board will be disgraced out unless they retrieve their steps and do the right thing by bringing in quality and experienced players that can turn around the fortune of the club instead of thinking of only how to line their pockets at the detriment of the club and her fan base .Lets wait and see how things will be at the end of this window

We all understand your frustration. TRUST ME!!! Until something official is revealed, quit your crying like a freakin toddler who has just dropped his lolly and MAN UP!

Losing Nasri is NOT the end of the world guys. He was great at times last year and in the two previous seasons, but once again inconsistent throughout the ENTIRE season. It seems obvious Nasri has grown too big for his boots and we won’t cave to his wage demands … or he would have signed by now. IF this is the case, the sooner he goes the better. I doubt he goes to Man C or Manure though.

Clichy to Man C doesn’t guarantee a premier league title. He is average, WITH premier league experience, that is all. He falls over too often and sucks at defending. He has not progressed in 2 seasons … let him go wherever, doesn’t matter. If he is so great, why can’t he overtake Evra/Abidal in the french team. Average player who also wants too much money for his lacklustre and inconsistent preformances. Good riddance…

Fabregas is still under contract and I’d be AMAZED if we sold both him AND Nasri this summer. Just chill out, have a beer and calm the F*** down. You’ll have a hernia before Aug 31st mate … not healthy.

Uba – you’re obviously not one of the frustrated majority. Every year we go through the same old crap. We get our hopes up with expectations that Wenger is going to get his finger out and challenge realistically with procuring seasoned players, proven footballers with kahunas only to get the same old statement ” I have confidence in the team we have; we do not need to buy anyone”.

His continuous failures over the last 6 seasons has rubbed off on the good players we’ve had. Do you really think that Fabregas would want to go had Arsenal delivered silverware ? There is deep anger now and yet Wenger and the Board only care about “nearly being there”. As Wenger put it that coming 4th is success in his view. Wenger is stubborn and immune to the back lash. He is in my opinion, “an agent” of the Board. Acting for their wishes and agenda.

If Wenger lets Nasri go, then that’s it. There will be a riot. Had Wenger relented a little earlier on in meeting Nasri half way on his demand and getting his signature on a new contract, it would not have come to this point of Man City dangling the carrot. I have lost all confidence in the Frenchman. I don’t think he’ll anything this transfer season as before.

This is nothing new its been happening for years, Overmars, Petit, Anelka, Henry, Vieira, Hleb, Adebayor, Kolo. In the past we have accepted it because we were told that we had to pay for the new stadium. The new stadium was not for the fans as we all thought it was, Turns out that since the plans went through and especially since Mr David Dein (the only person who can now save the club) has left, the board have been running the club to increase the value of their shares so that they could sell in the future takeover, which is currently going on. Its also rediculous although i dont agree with his backgroud that we have a potential investor in Usmanov who owns 30% of the Club, yet he has no say in what goes on at the club and is not allowed to invest money. The board are happy with wenger in charge as he is the most profitable manager in the world. Wenger is happy in charge because he has complete control and no accountability. I cant blame the players for wanting to leave the club has not shown any abition since Mr Dein has left the club. Maybee if they didnt waste wages on Young player who are never going to be good enough, or crappy squad players who beleive there own hype then we could afford to pay clichy and samir the extra money they want, and show the ambition with a couple of big name signing to keep cesc at the club 1 or 2 more season to bring Rambo and Jack through. But this wont happpen, yet another season of broken promises. I will put my house on it that Arsenal come out of this tranfer window having made a profit once again. Time for Wenger, the Board and 30% of the playing staff to leave the club, we need a complete revival new manager new players new ethics new investors new board. Mr Dein is the only person who can do this, especailly as many fans cant rememebr life before Wenger and forget we are not ARSENE FC we are ARSENAL FC. PLEASE SAVE OUR CLUB

One of the main reasosn that Wenger has so much control in so many areas is that the board are ‘investors’ NOT “fans”. They are there to increase their share value…NOT to win trophies. The quicker they pay off the stadium debt the more the shares are worth because any buyer has less debt to take on! They have no idea about football matters and therefore overly rely on “football man” Wenger!

Kronke admits he doesn’t like or understand “soccer”. So how can you expect him to make the right appointment to replace Wenger anyway? Fizman was made out to be some sort of hero but he was no different. A tax exile in Switzerland – he rarely attended a game! He was also responsible for ousting the one football man on the board – David Dean.

Kronke’s best move woud be to put Dein back in charge of running the club and then the right investment on the playing side will return. But it won’t happen because Dein got in to bed with Usmanov (Kronke’s share rival). Arsenal would be in better hands if Usmanov was in control (and he is richer than Abramovic)!

Just what the hell is this character – Uba smoking? As we write this, the “beaks” of those “wolves” on the Board of Arsenal FC must be flooding with saliva right now – in anticipation of feasting on proceeds from the auctioning of Fabregas, Clichy, Nasri etc. By 31st August 2011, Mr. Arsene “the- profit-maker” Wenger will have more than enough for them to “eat”. He is typically recruiting more kids – Carl Jenkinson, Oxylade Chamberlain etc to groom and sell (again) when they peak in 2014. What a “brilliant” manager and “ambitious” Board! Mean time, the likes of Nasri, Fabregas and Clichy will have improved trophy prospects at their respective new clubs. I wonder how long classy Robin Van Persie (now running out of time to win trophies) will stick with ailing Arsenal FC!

Arsene has found the answer to Gary Cahill’s high purchase. Man U has come to his rescue again, Read this ……………………..

Wenger solves Arsenal’s defensive problems by signing Silvestre!

Arsene Wenger has had many years (three at least) to fix the problems in the Arsenal defence, but he has finally found the obvious solution (Why didn’t we think of it ourselves!).

Wenger has found the “experience and maturity” that he believes is all the Gunners need to win the title, and he has signed (for an undisclosed free) the Man United defender Mikael Silvestre!

The Arsenal manager said in the Gunners’ official website: “We have a strong squad but a young squad and Mikael’s versatility, experience and calibre will provide the extra depth we need to reinforce our challenge for honours this season. His defensive adaptability will serve us well and it’s a big plus that Mikael has top level experience and a great understanding of football in the Premier League.” (Aug 20th, 2008)

Ah sorry! That was three years ago, but what’s this feeling of deja vu I’m getting? Arghhh Sorry I got the name wrong…. It’s John O’Shea! Todays Mirror thinks that Arsenal will try and get O’Shea for a pittance rather than pay out the £17m that Bolton want for Gary Cahill.

The versatile 330 year-old has been at Old Trafford for the last 310 years, but now he has finally surpadded his usefulness at Man Utd, he has been promised the same £5 million bonus that Alex Ferguson paid to Silvestre when he moved to the Emirates to destroy the Arsenal defence three years ago…….

Arsenal fans can expect an announcement from Arsene Wenger any minute……

“This is nothing new its been happening for years, Overmars, Petit, Anelka, Henry, Vieira, Hleb, Adebayor, Kolo.”

What exactly has been happening for years?

Anelka was an ididot and even admitted that he made a mistake leaving Arsenal and Hleb the same thing. Henry left when he was past his best and the same with Vieira and we actually kicked him out of the CL. Kolo was past his best and him and Gallas couldnt get along, it had nothing to do with what you are referring to and I dont even know why you mentioned Ade!

Stop following the media for crying out load.

And also dont talk about players wanting to leave the club as if they were not responsible for what took place ast seasons end. Cesc was one of the manin reasons why we got kicked out of the CL along with the ref and where was Nasri as the end of the year? how many goals did he score.

Arsenal supporters have to be the most miserable set going.

Cry and whinge all the damn time. Dont make it seem as if it is only this year, you lot have been bitching for years.

What annoys me is that you cannot even see that Wenger has worked miracles. The ONLY clubs that are more succesful than us are those teams that money is not an issue and we still beat them properly last season. NO other manager couldve done it so in my estimation Arsene deserves praise from the Arsenal support and not this continous grief.

I often wonder if the Arsenal supporters cheered as much as they moaned maybe we wouldve had a few more wins under our belt. Ever thought of that!?

All u fans who still live in this “arsene knows” bubbles are doing this club no good. Even the players are waking up and wanting out and their the ones who know wenger better than anyone! We are a club that should be in competitions to win but we have become also rans. If you rememebr Overmars was at the top of his game when he left us. Petit left and broke up at the time the best central midfield partnership in the country. I am referring to selling our best players once a decent money offer comes in. Admittidly they all were happy to move and in the case of Anelka actually actively seeked a move elsewhere. What im trying to get at is where would Barca be now if they sold over player who had a decent season? You have to keep onto your best players and add to them. In recent times every summer after winning the league wenger has weakened the side instead of keeping the best players and adding to them.

Also Paul i hate fans like yourself who critisize other fans who disagree with your mentality. just because someone has a different opinion to yourself about the way the club is going doesnt mean they are idiots who are following the media. Eventually if this all continues you yourself will turn around and realise that the club has become stale, i may be wrong and ill be the first to admit it. Wenger has had enough time, in that time he has taken the “Unbeatablles” amd turned them into a laughing stock, a club that can no longer attract top players or hold onto second rate ones, aswell as a club who dont appear to want to. Wenger himself said at the beginging of this season, “judge me at the end of the season” well Wenger season is over and you are getting judged as you asked. A 6th sucsesive season without any silverware, down to the usual failings and you unwillingness to sign a top class centre half. Despite every fan of every club in the UK being able to see what we need aswell as every pundit and every member of the press. He has spent his time on his little project and it has failed. Big style. If Wenger would stop being stuborn and spend on big name players then i would be behind him, however Wenger is to fucking stuborn to ever change his thinking, he is one of these people who thinks the rest of the world is wrong not him. How many seasons can we blame bad luck, injuries and bad refereeing descions. The truth is we havent won anything because of a lack of experiance, a lack of heart, a lack of quality in depth and a Manager whos tactics are questionable who cant conduct himself in a respectfull mannor when things dont go his way. The guy is an embaressment atm arguing with other managers and officials over nothing, a sore loser. Not what the club needs. Look at how Pep Guardiola conducted himself when Madrid beat them in the cup final. With grace, he come on the pitch congratulated all the players of both teams. Where as Wenger kicks bottles, throws tantrums and spits his verbal dummy out in the poost match interview.

The whole crowd got behind Wenger and his men and we got embarresd by the on pitch display. So much for your getting behind the player and manager theroy, what im getting at is, if you dont have enough quality in the team then it doesnt matter how loud the fans are you wont win much. ‘I will be the most happiest man on planet earth if the fans can boycott all home games from the start of the season to express their disappointment and displeasure’……….

I suggest you haven’t got a season ticket in which to put your idea to the test. It’s easy to shoot your mouth off online….. ‘don’t turn up at games’…. ‘don’t buy the merchandise’…’ don’t pay for this or that and give the club your money’. Why not go the whole hog and tell everyone to stop supporting the club, let’s get them relegated, that’ll show them, that stupid man Wenger and his Arsenal board full of idiots!

I’m fed up with ‘so-called’ supporters who call for ‘over the top’ reactions which would inevitably jeopardise or harm the club, just to post on line ‘See, see, there you are, I told you so’.

I am and have been a season ticket holder for over 35 years and a supporter for 45 years. Does this make my opinion better or more informed than anyone else? No, it does not. Am I happy with the situation at the club? A very resounding NO, I am not happy. So what it does it make me? It makes me a supporter. It does what it says on the tin. Support! Support the club, support the team. support the manager, et al.
It doesn’t mean without valid criticism or valid opinion.

The article makes some very strong points, particularly about cheap, makeshift squad players, when we all know that more investment on better players could have made a difference, but it doesn’t tell the whole story. It also assumes which players will be sold or signed, based on media speculation, which is at best ill-informed or at worst scare-mongering.

In our recent trophyless years we have had to compete with Chelski spending 100’s of millions to secure players, with over-inflated bids on over-inflated contracts, now Citeh are doing the same. What do we and right-minded fans say about this? Chelski’s achievments are belittled for having bought the trophies, we will say the same about Citeh if they do go on to buy the title. Yes, I would love to win all the trophies every season. Would i like to do it the way Chelski and Citeh are doing it? Well call me ‘old-fashioned’ but no, I would not, i am not a hyporcrite!

ManUre are a different proposition, they are spending money (not in the Chelski or Citeh league) because they know that if they are not competing or winning trophies the spotlight inevitably falls on the club’s finances, how much debt the club has and how much the Glaziers are filtering out of the club, giving the green & yellow contingent more ammunition to give the club a good kicking and to focus on everything other than football. (by the way, the suggestion that we all wear black and stand up ‘to be counted’ should take note ‘ focus on everything other than football’).

I hear all these opinions calling for ‘loads o money’ to be spent/invested in the team thinking that it would clearly win us the title, now the last time I checked ‘the mob down the road’ have regularly spent 60-80m a season for the past 10 years and what has this bought them? One top 4 finish! We have finished in the top 4 every season in Champions League history. Am i happy with being top 4 every season? You bet, I’m happy to see Champions League football every season at the Emirates (Just ask a few scousers about what it’s like to miss out). Don’t get me wrong, as I’ve said, I would love to win every trophy every season. I also don’t believe the club or Arsene Wenger are happy with just finishing 4th every season.

i believe Wenger is a winner and am prepared to trust him to turn around it around, however, as I’ve said I’m not entirely happy with him or with our situation. I think his biggest ‘Achilles heel’ is his stubbornness. I think he firmly believes that his tactics and style of play will win through regardless, when clearly it doesn’t (Sunderland, Stoke & Bolton, last season, spring to mind), he needs to spend more time on other teams weaknesses, work out what it takes to beat them and adjust our style of play/tactics accordingly. I’m sure he can do this without totally compromising his beliefs.

I’ve renewed my season ticket next season, put my money where my mouth is, as the saying goes.

First and foremost I am a supporter.

    Rant over!

Paul N – Ever give any thought as to WHY the fans “moan” as you put it ? Perhaps if you did, you wouldn’t be making such idiotic statements. The fans “moan” because they have very good reasons to.
And by the way, Wenger has been with us since 1996. That’s fifteen years. His first half ( seven years ), were his best. His second seven or so, he has delivered virtually nothing. So overall, his record indicates he is just a so-so manager at best. And I dare say if he stays for the rest of his contract, his “success” percentage will drop even further. Wenger is trading on past glories, which are fast fading. He is damaging all that he achieved in his early years, by staying at the club. He has lost his mojo. The sad thing is he hasn’t realised it yet.

It’s time they moved out the cigar munching booze swilling waxworks in the boardroom and their old school ties, these jokers time was then but this is now, Kroenke must step up to the plate and look at the club closely rather than just via figures on a sheet of paper or computer across the pond. I think Wenger has one last bad season in him before we see news that he has left by mutual consent. No arsenal supporter will forget the glory he provided in the past but that is exactly what it is….THE PAST! and no longer can he or the board use this to justify a passive attitude towards constant failure season after season and expect supporters to pay laughable prices for season tickets.

I’m constantly growing concerned about the managers mental wellbeing, his behaviour on the touchline sometimes is rather embarrassing and disrespects the history and the reputation that has up until the last two or three season been strong.. even in defeat. But it upsets me to see our great club and manager ridiculed by the press, commentators and opposition managers and supporters when previously there was nothing but respect. The supporters have a right to be heard and the club MUST listen because it’s us who support the club, it’s us who buy season tickets and it’s us who have to take the punch on the chin each time we fail and it’s become a bad habit we must drop and drop NOW!.

I think the team is one of the weakest in arsenal history, we have some good players but we also have some imposters that have no right to be pulling on the famous arsenal shirt and calling themselves professional players. The club has got to stop going cheap on it’s supporters when they invest so much in the club they love and only want the best. We just want to see a team that has motivation and fire not heads down the minute we go 1-0 down. I love our passing game, it’s one of our qualities that we don’t play route-one football like some other clubs in the prem, but we need some result at the end of it and in past seasons we have one or two players who will roll their sleeves up and get stuck-in and others looking at each other to do it and meanwhile Opps! the ball is in the back of the net again! and some unknown player from some club who hasn’t scored in five seasons scores against us.. yep! it’s always us it happens to. 🙁

So to mercifully conclude.. i don’t want any activity in the transfer market to be a knee-jerk reaction by the club to try and pacify us supporters while keeping shareholders even sweeter. If he makes signings they MUST be quality but we know at times wenger is pants in the transfer market and the club is reaching a stage where top players find the club an unattractive proposition to play for and invest potentially four seasons of their career regardless of the wages which of course we know have become obscene and only adds fuel to the fire that any player might just have an ounce of love for the history and the club they play for each week. So to the future.. we certainly need new players at the club but the right kind and the right qualities.. more importantly defeat should hurt and hurt bad rather than how it has become to many in the team… a dull ache that ceases to exist the moment they hit the dressing room have a shower and head home to check their bank balances.

Just one parting few words… an old england joke i have seen adapted on the net and it goes like this… To mark Arsenal FC and their amazing run of bad luck oxo are releasing a new product, they are keeping the original red box and putting the arsenal bad on it and calling it “The Laughing Stock”. maybe the manager should pin the bad press up on the dressing room walls or buy one or two of Alex Fergusons old hairdryers and start feeling some kind of desire and zest for success with failure not being an option unless a player wants a muddy boot kicked in his face.

There is another option, an embarrassing option which you people who support the board, wenger and his players, don’t take into consideration. There’s a segment of observers such as myself who are not arsenal supporters, but who follow arsenal for the comedy. Go ahead and tell me to “support” another team and I will respond with a full belly-laugh. I hope everything stays exactly as it is at arsenal because it’s one of the biggest jokes going and gives me more laughs than just about any comic medium. Run by laughingstocks and supported by laughingstocks. The collapse to 4th place last season was deliciously satisfying, and this season I look forward to more hilarious failure and comical excuses 😉

A message to the fans who still back Wengers and the boards dumb policies:

“Look, do you wanna play blindman? Go walk with the shepherd. But me, my eyes are wide fucking open”

Sounds like most people on this board have opened their eyes.

The problem is not the team it’s our manager we need to sack him and replace. Him with someone with new ideas he will never sign players over 14 million as his cheap but arsenal fans are still sleeping wait until he sells fabregas and nasri and clchy his going to replace them with unknowns or cheap players like gervinho who’s another chemickh he will score only 5 goals if your lucky we should be demanding players like benzema or Sanchez or naymar mata but no we are so stupid by the beginning of the season arsenal fans will just accept the shit players for another year I say arsene wanker has had his chance 6 years of it now let’s give someone else a chance SACK HIM
Look at man u they have made there team even more stronger how are we going to win the premiership now oh i forgot arsene knows my ASS…! 

I think you all are stupider then the cunts you came out of! I hope your mothers are dead so i can dig her up and punt her corpse!!!!!! Now that taken care of…

When you idiots support the board with comments like this, it only makes their conviction in running the club more stable! This article is 100% correct! L Everyone seems to think if he leaves the club dies as if we had no success before! Remember gerogre graham? He won us the same amount of trophies in 9 years as wenger has even one in europe. Its take wenger 15 years to achive what he did and half the success was based on Grahams back four! Now we will lose Nasri, Fabergas and clichy in one summer and i know we will not invest in a world class players but ponetinal! The same Pontenial as bedthner and densilon? But we get called plastic because we want to win things? You are the plastic fans that only support arsenal for Fabergas and wenger and don’t the history of the club!! Do you know who perry groves is? Liam Brady? How about David Roscatle? You don’t the histroy of the club and thats why you have no real attachment to the club… When Cesc leaves so will Nasri and even the loyalty of RVP will go… Do we blame them? No we shouldn’t! Yeah they might leave for more money, sure but when Nasri wants 110,000 a week and is on 80,000 its not much! Why not pay you best player the highest slaary? But i guess i’m Plastic! I guess the club will go backrupt if we pay him 30,000 pounds a week right? My bad. The second reason he shouldn’t blame them is they want to win and see their ambitions met. RVP and Fabergas were in the world cup final last year… Now they play for 4th place every year… But i’m plastic because 4th place isn’t our right its a privledge right? You may be right… But guess what this club isn’t finisninh 4th next season… My odds are 6th or 7th! The fans that don’t see the meltdown of arsenal (ohh its happening and don’t be ignorrant in saying its a over reaction) are retarded or their children of incest, either way your not real fans! If this was an over reaction I dobut there would be decession within the borad between stan, hiil-wood, that fat guy and that women (don’t know there names lol)! Wenger wouldn’t be coming out in the public and adressing letters would he? If everything was fine at the club then these desprate measures wouldn’t be need to be taken… But i’m plastic what do i know.

It’s truly beyond a joke now. We all care about the club and we all have a right to an opinion regardless of it being right or wrong. What nobody can ignore is that there has been no progress at the club for the last 6 years. We’ve been treading water, bereft of any ambition and only a few players short of really being able to challenge. I think that hurts that much more that we are so close, yet the only person who can do anything about it is wenger. The man is a dinosaur. soon to be extinct and so determined in his flawed philosophy that he’s almost taken it to the level of a personal crusade to see through his failing project. When everyone around you has a shovel and your digging with a spoon it’s fairly obvious that all your gonna find at the bottom is failure, that’s if you ever get there in the first place. People will continue to point to the stadium and the “transition” period that’s soon to turn into a decade. Personally i would rather we stayed at highbury if we were still competitve. But i don’t really think thats the problem. we have money to spend but the man in charge of spending it doesn’t want to know. As i write this i have just read a piece about wenger saying he won’t rush in the transfer market!! This is an exercise in damage limitation and is designed to prepare fans for the usual summer of crap and limit any expectations. Our best players will be sold and replaced by potential that will doubtfully ever be fulfilled at arsenal. This is the default position of wenger and the club and they will continue to run arsenal like a bank and not a football club. I agree with some of the support for wenger, but there has to be a time when even the die hards will wake up to the fact that the man has had his time. We need someone with a purpose and desire and willing to try something new. Wenger was a pioneer when he arrived in 96, the problem is his tactics are the same now as they were then, and it just doesn’t wash anymore. I may incur a wrath here, but I’ll stick my neck on the line and say under wenger arsenal will NEVER win another trophy. enough is enough. In arsene we rust.

Wenger is a spent force, we have listened to his bullshit for the past 6 years without any critisism but a time comes when fans need to make a stand. We will never win the prem again with wenger in charge and no matter how many changes to the squad he makes we will continue to slip into mid table mediocrity. Lets face it we have slipped from champions to fourth over the past 7 years and we will be 7th or 8th in the next 6 years unless we sack the board and manager forthwith.
Like the lady said we need new, younger, vibrant and enthusiastic people at the healm, fresh ideas and a new direction. Dont be fooled by all the talk of new players, it is just papering over the cracks. There will be barely 40 thou at the emirates this season for anything other than blue chip matches. The majority have had enough and you idiots that have been hand reared by wenger over the past 12 years or so need to let go. We were great before Wenger and we will be again once he has gone.
The locker is empty, wenger has run out of ideas and the fans have finally woken up!!

Are you lot of assholes competing with Le Grove to see who can be the biggest twats? Ready to cut your wrists on the basis of tabloid speculation. You are fricking pathetic. Tomorrow a new story is printed and you all rush to your keyboards to shout abuse at Wenger – whether the story has any truth or not. I hear a lot of angry fans are planning a mass suicide during our first home game of the season – why don’t you all join in, then you won’t have to watch Arsenal drop out of the top 4. You won’t see them win the league either. It is actually not funny – please remember what happened to Newcastle a few years ago when the fans destroyed the club and drove it into the championship. You are doing the same.

To add to what I wrote above. Something you lot should think about is what happened to Newcastle in the 2000’s. You can drive Wenger away, but what will happen then. All the players brought in by Wenger leaves and the new english manager replaces them with the likes of Cahill, Barton, Parker, or other overpriced players with english football dna. You don’t know what you are wishing for. From finishing in the top 4 Newcastle went to the championship in no time. That is what you are trying to do to Arsenal. Just relax, Wenger and the board know what they are doing. You do not have the inside info, but base you emotional knee-jerks on tabloid speculation. Sometimes I get the impression that is what many in the media are hoping will happen – and you lot are happily playing along.

@Gary shut up you dumb cunt… You think Arsenal deserved to be in the top four last season? Its not a privledge for us anymore and thats the shame.. We were the most feared club in the world and now we are laughed at by everybody… And cunts like you allow the board to foucus on there money and not re-investment into the team! Were did the money for adeboyour and toure go? Who did we buy? No one! We don’t know the insides of the club? Yeah cause we don’t supporters who own shares in the club are regulary give us updates on status? Oh wait were the only club that has that! You support Arsene, We support Arsenal! Whats wrong with wanting the best for this club? Wenger is becoming a cancer and we all know just your kind are too stupid to realize! As for newcastle they were in debt coming out of their eye balls with consetent changing of managers and chairmens and investment into players with money the didn’t have… If Arsenal don’t have the money… Just say it! But they keep telling us we do but Arsene won’t spend it! Thats his fault for not building on a great foundationof youth! Tony Adams, Niegel winterburn, lee dixion, martion keown and david seaman won Arsene 4 of his 7 major thropies… His only suceess sqaud is the ulmighy incviciles which no one can take away from him! And his legacy won’t be tarnished… But he needs to go.. All good things come to an end… Look at the NBA… Jerry sloan mangetred for 23 years before relaizing that he was doing things wrong cause of the era he was in… so he stepped down. Arsene should do the same. Last season there were no more excuses. Get your head out of your ass you motherfucker you!

Hey, mabs. What a classy individual you seem to be, posting comments like the above to fellow human beings who support the same club as you do. Now when I say ‘support’ I use the term very loosely because I’m not sure anybody with your literate or social skills are capable of defining what ‘support’ actually means.

I am reasonably confident that whilst you spout all this anger, negativity on line you have never actually been to see a match. I am prepared to be proved wrong, if so, pop up to the bar at block 114 next season and shout the word ‘mags’ and I’ll happily buy you a drink and attempt to have an intelligent conversation with you.
