For those who are calling for Wenger’s blood….you guys do not know the inspiring quality that he has put Arsenal and moulded the young players over these years.
AND if these ingrats leave well so be it.
Arsenal The Club will still be here and with Wenger around I am sure a new and fresh ‘breed’ of aspiring talents will emerge and continue to produce beautiful quality games!….for the entertainment of the whole footballing fraternity!!

Brilliant win, think we will win the cup this year.nipped up earlier today and put a score on us at 8s.Pleased jenkinson played again as he was starting to look a real player until wenger took him out in favour of the inconsistent sagna, not that ill fault the boss for that as they are both good players.good also to see rosicky back and its a shame that we havent had him and diaby for long periods of time because we wouldnt have been this long without a trophy had them two have been ever present.the boss took a chance in resting players today but with a hectic schedule he had to do that.well done arsene and the team, very happy gooner.while its fair to have ago at wenger and co its also only right to give credit to the team when we do well.we have some very gifted players at the club dont forget that.for me we are a cocktail of exceptional and very average therefore 2 quality additions would be nice arsene before thursday so stop messing about with them zips on them coats and get us a few players.enjoy your evening gooners.

People have a right to make their views heard it doesn’t make them less of a fan if you don’t agree and the club doesn’t allow any other way for fans to be heard. The club has problems and Wenger is a big part of that, your are sticking your head in the sand if you think he isn’t. Many fans say ‘who else would we get?’ like there are no managers as good / better than him. Don’t be scared of change sometimes it is good!

    ‘shoestring budget’

You muppet!! shoestring budget indeed! Wenger overpays so many average players that our wage bill is about £143 million a year!! Wenger is on 7m a year!! Hardly a shoestring! We could employ a trained chimp and it would have as much tactical nous and motivational skills as Arsene Wenger. The man is gone, finished, he couldn’t manage a fart in the bath. Until Arsenal get rid of him they are finished because he is holding the club back.
Even Wenger said he had money to spend a couple of weeks ago and yet he still plays the likes of Santos, Gervinho and Ramsey regularly! Arsenal are a laughing stock.

Shoestring budget but wasted 25m on Girvinho, Santos, Park and Sqil.. Plus £20m on wages on the likes of Chamakh, Johan etc

Don’t blame Wenger for money grabbing players. In case you hadn’t noticed he is building a great team again that can rival the Manchester clubs all we need is a couple of players.

Seriously any body that supports arsene’s philosophy is as blind as him, its crystal clear that this squad lacks depth.
    Wenger out
He goes two steps foward and ten steps backward…

    January 26, 2013 at 8:38 pm

Everyone makes bad signings yet you forget the amazing ones. Can you see past your own intelligence? Don’t think so because clearly we have good squad, can’t disagree we lack depth but with Walcott signing Wilshire returning to form things looking up. Need one strong defender but shit why must Wenger get fired for not signing players. I get upset as well but you support the club and if fans have this attitude support damn city or qpr! Arsenal for life through the thick and thin!

Something’s wrong when we play brilliant one day and poor the next. Why are the players only playing at half pace today when we murdered west ham at fast pace? Where did the pressing tactic go since the last game? Where was the movement today? The players are clearly not being motivated. They badly need some leaders and those that play at half pace need to be dropped. We need some genuine competition in a number of postions. Got the result today, but were quite lucky against a lower league team. Show some spirit boys ffs!

  16. GoonerDave

    January 26, 2013 at 9:11 pm

Actually, the shoestring budget thing is a fair statement – we pay the 4th/5th highest wage bill, and finish about where we should in that regard. But – there is no money spent on transfers at all.
Like it or not, we are actually over-achieving with no transfer outlay, and the wage bill we have.
So those of you that want change, thats ok and its a free world….but you are seeking a manager who can over achieve massively, considering our lack of financial clout. The odds would be stacked firmly against that happening.
Change for the sake of change is simply stupid.
If we cannot hire a boss who will do much better with the same resources, whats the point?

Jack how can you call these guys brainless idiots for showing concern about arsenal, and by the way respectful concern at that, read the banner.these so called brainless idiots travel up and down the land following arsenal and pay the most expensive prices in england.they have my respect for showing their discontent and disapproval at times as long as its done in the right and respectful ways.hooligans, racists and foul and abusive so called fans shouldnt be allowed to buy tickets but loyal.disheartened fans buy the right to express an opinion.you im sure like me care very much about arsenal and i wouldnt be surprised if you have said to family or friends that wenger must go,ive said it loads of times just out of frustration but i know i dont really mean it.it will be a very sad day when he leaves thats for sure.jack i respect your opinion fella, because just like the banner guys you have a view and its only a good thing that it is heard.lets hope we win the cup,bet we all agree with that.thanks.

Name ONE realistic and available manager who would likely do a better job.
I WISH there were half a dozen who could improve our fortunes.
The problem isn’t the manager, it’s the current ownership.
Simply put, success in England comparable to that of Chelsea, Utd and City requires far more financial backing than we possess.
    We can’t realistically compete.
Get used to it, get over it, or go follow one of the above.
Unless the likes of Spurs, Everton and Liverpool are overtaking us, there’s little point in replacing Wenger.

  22. Ramzy

    January 27, 2013 at 12:48 am

Enough is enough. Wenger should go now and He has no real plan to turn the club’s fortunes around. His transfer policy is out-dated and he doesn’t look like a man capable of turning Arsenal back into title-contenders.Arsenal supporters are tired of Wenger reeling out the same excuses.

If I see that banner at home, or away, I’ll take a lighter to it. Everyone has a right to say how they feel, but you guys don’t speak for all Arsenal fans, you’re in the minority. Most of us support Wenger. If you want to blame anyone for the so called (media induced) crisis at the club then you should have a pop at the board. Its the board that fail to back Wenger up and sign the players he really wants.

@ Danny – Nice rascism a-hole. Henry, Pires, Vieira – all French. If you have a problem with the French maybe you should f**k off to the lane every Saturday

Its gud to have such a brave banner fans. They are frustrated as I am too.look at sir alex in man U, he has enough forwards, yet he did everything possible to get vanpersie, buner,d gear and more. Arsene wenger will never buy a quality play s

Wenger has done so much for arsenal but he is well past his glory days , he needs to leave, arsenal wont be obliterated wit his departure it was already a big club b4 him and it will be a big club after him, he is definitely the major cause of all problems at arsenal today, very stubborn indeed. we clearly need a holding midfielder and a consistent striker who can score against bigger opposition but he is not doing anything about it and this only proves that he has lost his bottle WENGER UVE DONE SO MUCH BUT IT IS TIME TO SAY GOODBYE.

    January 27, 2013 at 8:01 am

Just take a luk at our bench, when we are down who do we have to bring in some inspiration or change. Its very sad when our main goal is a top 4 finish. When people are bragging about their teams what have we got to boast of ? Funny to say we are leaving on our past glories.

Arsene Wengers head is exactly where it belongs, leading the Arsenal into the future. He Is re-building a much better squad than he has had over the past seven years.
A couple of signings and we could be better than 2003-04.

CDM – Victor Wanyama is needed to secure the back 4.
and a striker, preferably not david villa.

Is it naive to say that looks a very professional banner and ask where the money and expertise are coming from. Obviously ticket price isn’t a problem for these two. I’d worry more if the banner looked a bit more homemade, looks like there is a hidden agenda here.

  35. goonerboy

    January 27, 2013 at 12:52 pm

Yes we just squeezed over the line.
Brighton could easily have scored 4 in this game. Brighton FFS. Arsenal’s defence and midfield has glaring weaknesses-to diagonal balls and crosses. Hopeless defending.
Wenger is a transfer fraud-he is hopeless in the transfer market-his valuations are completely unrealistic-this club will buy no one by Thursday. That might not be such a bad thing governing by Wenger’s recent transfer record. He is a manager who any self respecting club would have fired years ago.

Goonerboy summed it all up thats reality whether you like it or not.if you watched the highlights our defending was of a novice standard if you want to be kind.wenger is so much concerned with an attacking mindset that it appears hes blinded by our defensive frailties.another thing i think bould isnt the man for the job in terms of sorting this lot out defensively,if you remember he was average himself at defending and wasnt half as good as keown, campbell or adams.what is marwood, platt and vieira doing at city?,that annoys me to see former arsenal stars at a rival club.i was very pleased that soccer saturday brought to the attention of everyone about ramires and his constant escaping of red cards, ive been watching this clown for a good while sinking the boot into opponents but getting away with it.he is just taking over from essien and mikel, another thing id like to question is lampards so called great goalscoring record for a midfielder, because i think you will find that 2 thirds of his goals have been from the penelty spot,he scored his usual pen v us and wasnt seen in the game after.the refs aint so reluctant to dismiss a gunner and id like to see us harass a ref as its paying for utd and chelsea all these years.anyway thats me for today just had a roast lamb dinner, need a lie down,a leeds win and a home draw later.thanks.

This is really getting erksome !

Exactly who would you have replace Arsene ? Who ?? I don’t see hardly anyone out there capable of stepping into his shoes at the Emirates, let alone who’d then command the respect and adoration of the players from the very outset ?

Yep, as a Guuners fan for some 40 years now, it has been frustrating and hurftul to watch our teams suffer in the way that have over the last six years in particular ! But pinning this entirely on AW is just silly and ill-thought out … I hold the board far more responsible any day of the week !! I do not like that priah, Gazadis, and the club would be be better off with him shown the shown the door … the money this guy gets paid is utterly disgusting too, put midly !!!!
No, the board have so much to answer for ? They have placed the financial trsaight-jacket around AW over the last few years and he has had little choice but to shop in the bargain basement half of the time. Yep, we have paid the stadium off now and we’ve had fairly lucrative new corporate deals ( not as much as they could of been, though, had we have been winning things over the last few years !! ), so I am watching very closely to see if these tight-fisted twats at the top actually allow AW to buy not just one quality player, but at least 3 or 4, because that’s what’s required, no ifs or buts !!
For me, I pray that Kroenke just sells up and toddles off back to Ameica and does what he does over there … Let Usmanov in and he’ll make a difference to the fans like Arsenal have never known in their entire history !!!!

wenger out is the only way forward. let RM take him, he will be sacked after 12 months. there are plenty of managers out there capable of getting us into the top 4 each year with a smaller salary.

    enough is enough
