Yet, given the fact the system has failed to work against villareal(away), wigan and failed to inspire even better resourced liverpool v chelsea(first leg CL), i cant understand why wenger persists with it esp in important cup games(now). Yes arsenal are playing well now given the right formation, but their fear factor only extends to the lower teams. Why? ADe is the main striker, but after how many chances does he score a single goal? The Liverpool game should have had no bearing on this game. We’re 2 different teams, with different players and different styles. We tried to play a game that didn’t suit us and has not been proven to work well. IT is the double CM tactic that got us 5 goalless draws in a row earlier in the year so why resort to it when 4-2-2 was blowing away Prem opposition? Diaby and Denilson are not ready and not in form. Arshavin, Nasri and Song have all been on point for the past month and Wenger put tham all on the bench. Arshavin cannot play in the CL so why rest him? He’s had a week off so he’s fresh and ready to go. Wenger choked in a big way and allowed himself to falter. The team looked like garbage because their manager played them in a garbage formation so what do you expect? They did the best they could with the utter crap Arsene gave them to work with. I give the players my utmost respect but lost a little for Wenger today.

Went to Wembley and could not believe the starting line-up and formation. Guess Wenger was influenced by all the missing first choice defenders.
