As a fan, there is NOTHING that I look forward to more than our games against United. They are the highlight of my year. After being robbed of one and then thoroughly out classed, I’m not sure what to say. I am frustrated but in complete shock. This cannot be Arsenal, the team that went unbeaten only 5 years ago.

I have got to say im fucking embaressed.really truley embarresed.but im trying to look at things as clearly as possible and ive come to these conclusions. The balance of the midfield is just not there.As for denilson,i was at villa park on wednesday and he shockingly shit then and today.It is clear to see when we come up against teams who can play football and are physical we get ruined.its no surprise really.it keeps hapening over and over again.no balance in the team.im just gutted right now.we all know he should have bought a striker.chlichy i beleive is a world class left but the combination of low confidence and recently coming back from injury is really really showing.For me,a midfield comprising of song,fabregas and diaby is potentially world class.song has done fantastic and we must bare in mind how much he has played and that he has just come back from the AFN.So to be fair he did look a bit tired today but lets be fair he has done well this season.with the adition of a striker like chamack,a phyical goal scorer hit man could be the difference. Deep down i feel the beggining of next season,with our team as a whole more experienced and hopefully alot of our players having experienced playing in a world cup(big pressure/biggest stage) we might so a great improvement.Just how we have a seen a huge improvement from last year if we are to be fair.were just not there yet.the combination of all this mite just put as back in real title competition next year.as of this year,i dont think we will win anything.im wondering what everyone else thinks.

The game today is one that we will hardly forget. I think Wenger is a good manager who is just becoming stupid every year. He no longer have that hunger he used to have. He had the money to spend and painfuly not his money. He should have bought 2 to 3 players, but did n’t bother. I wish our next game was not against Chelski because with this lot, it is going to be worse.

Who are you to say he is lying about his belief. I happen to think there is considerable quality there as well and more than in most other teams in the country. that was the worst performance for arsenal in years.. wenger needs to understand that this team is not good enough to win a carling cup let alone the league. Arshavin was missing as he has been since he signed! he only turns up in two games a season:Liverpool home and away. He thinks hes better than everyone else hence the reason he didn’t want to pass. Song is decent at his best which he wasn’t today he looked tired. Since V.Persie got injured we have been very very lucky to be where we are. for the past 6-7 games we have won games where we shouldn’t have. we don’t play half as good as when V.Persie is heading our attack. Fabregas can’t do it alone. Wenger needs to replace clichy/traore/gibbs in the summer with a real full back not one that makes mistakes but runs faster than Usain Bolt. Speed is not a replacement for positioning.

Fergie has mastered playing us in the emirates. Eduardo/Arshavin/Clichy/Bendtner all need to be replaced. It is very sad to see in the past 3 years our full backs i.e Clichy and Sagna haven’t put one good service to the strikers. none of them can cross a ball. count how many times sagna hits it on the first defender in game its shocking to say the least. for a club who have produced the best full backs in the last 30yrs they just don’t cut it. Cashley love him or hate was class as you can see now, Lauren was excellent too. lets not even mention prior to these two.

Buying a player now would be pointless. We needed the player at the start of Jan so he could have been integrated into the team for the Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool games.

Not buying a player was negligence on the part of Wenger. He knew the players were injured and has known about these games since the fixtures were announced. Agree with a lot of comments about todays match especially around the keeper, Almunia has never won us a game has he? I cannot recollect him having a consistent run of games which makes you feel he is worthy to tend goal for a top class club. Why not admit that it was a poor and naive team performance ? Picking on a few scapegoats + the manager is always the reaction to any setback. We were caught short defensively for the first goal (3 players could and should have stopped that cross and the keeper should have done better), the other two were breakaways where there was insufficient cover when we lost the ball at their end with all defenders forward. We could have had the biggest centre forward in the world in the side and he wouldn’t have prevented those 3 goals. United are superb on the break and if you allow them to do that then you get punished. Wenger would have prepared them for that but they didn’t implement. Blame the whole side.

4) Lack of strength in depth, time to let go of all these players who aren’t good enough to play for Arsenal.
5) Wenger did a great job for us with men in the team, he can’t achieve the same thing with boys. Youth policy is a good thing when it’s intertwined with established talent. He needs to let go of this fascination or, as hard as it is to admit, he needs to walk.
