HOW CAN YOU STILL HAVE FAITH IN WENGER?

Since 2005 Arsenal haven’t won a single trophy. the first 3 or 4 years I was fine with that. We moved too another stadium, didn’t have alot of money. Wenger had too break up the invincible and build up another team. But after 6 years I’m done with. I can’t stand a longer “In Wenger We Trust” quote. Because the truth is anyone who says it is clueless. How can you still trust a man who has fails too deliver time after time again.

How can you trust a man who let Flamini go and didn’t replace him? How can you trust a man who keeps playing Almunia who’s keeps costing us points time after time again? How can you trust a man who signs a Man Utd reject? How can you trust a man who knows nothing about tactics? How can you play against Barcelona and not man-mark Messi? How can you trust a man who keeps lying too his fans every summer? And so on.

I really still want too trust him, I really do but the truth is I’m done with him. I want him, gone as soon as possible. How can the board bring out news saying “We’re going too try extend his contract” When he obviously doesn’t deserve a new contract. The sad truth is ladies and gentleman is that Arsenal FC doesn’t care about trophies or having ambitions all they do care about is Money. The board couldn’t give a toss if we won a trophy or not as long as we qualify for the Champions League. It doesn’t matter if we finish 4th or 1th to them.

Now we’re going too probably sell Fabregas. I don’t blame him. How can you blame him when he sees his friends over at Barcelona win trophy after trophy and at Arsenal he doesn’t win a single one. I hope if we do sell him we will spend the money we get on him and sign a replacement? But will we? I don’t think so. It will kill Nasri’s development in the centre of the team. Bye Bye next season. “Hooray for 4th place!”

You can say too me I’m a C##t or twat I don’t care. You can be blind for the truth but I’m not. As long Wenger is in charge we won’t win a trophy. Because when the time comes he will f##k it up. Play youngsters in a tricky away game in the Fa Cup. Use silly tactics in the Champions League etc. 2 years ago I couldn’t believe I would have said this but the time has come….

Everybody is talking about “we can’t blame him” “he’s to good for us” and so on… what the freak, he is who he is because of us. The only reason Barcelona wants him now (and not back then) is because of what he became in Arsenal. Maybe he doesn’t owe us anything, but we sure don’t ow him anything. He is not bigger than Arsenal (niether is Wenger), and when people say things like this it’s like we somehow make him out to be. He’s a smart kid, he knows that this past year is the first time since he came that Wenger even had a choice to spend money, if all he can give us is ONE year where we could at least try to compete with United and Chelsea, and not let Wenger do his thing this sumemr (IF he does) then he can freaking kiss my ass!!!
Blame Arsenal, Wenger… but at the end, it is up to Fabregas and if he doesn’t care enough to give more then one REAL year, bye bye.. have fun watching Barcelona play without him!

This, to me, is the man we need in charge. To change it would spit in the face of all he’s done and is naive to think that right now anyone could do an awful lot better. It was a 10 year plan to riches when we moved here. The arrogance of some Arsenal fans astounds me. The general lack of respect for Arsene is even worse.

Cheers for everything Wenger, but enoughs enough…let someone else enjoy the fruits of your hardwork. if I didn’t love Arsenal so much I think I’d want Wenger to leave just to have some of you morons see how we’d cope.

Clearly some of your concerns are well-founded, but that fact of the matter is that we come 3rd or 4th every year, behind Chelsea and Man Utd, both of whom who are (in the here and the now) both richer clubs than us.

In short this is exactly where a club such as ours are expected to come. Not a nice thought, I know, but there you go.

And you might not have noticed but no one man marks these days.

I wouldn’t word it like you because you clearly have an anti-Wenger agenda and need to calm down and grow up a bit.

By all accounts, it looks like Cesc is off. If he goes now and isn’t replaced instantly with quality (Gerrard/Sneider) then I reckon Wenger should probably fall on his sword too.

If you build a team around one player, it helps if that player actually stays with said team. Cesc leaving sets Arsenal back five years. We didn’t buy a Vieira replacement because we were waiting for Fabregas to become the world class player he is today. He is central to the manager’s ‘project’ and without him, EVERYTHING Wenger has been working towards will colapse and he has to start again. If that’s the case, his hand should be forced to brng in some quality otherwise I just think it’s best to start with a new manager with fresh ideas and a different outlook.

I’ve had a season ticket since the 60′s. Seen dire, bland & great times under both Graham & Wenger. Cesc leaving is just the inevitable probably a little earlier than expected.

I reckon Wenger’s past his sale by date in terms of buying the tactics, right players, rebuilding a team. The owners have a lot to answer for. Modern Stadium = Harvey Nichols with Ordinary players = Primark Stock

Project youth has failed completely. Year on year we are lied to by Wenger saying he will add quality to the side if he finds that special talent. There ate plenty if players out there who can improve our side.

I don’t blame fabregas wanting to leave! It is wenger and the board who has cost us our prised asset. Diaby, Denilson and Song, is that really going to be a midfield to challenge to win the league?

Oh No, it appears that you Arsenal fans are about to implode. Step back and take a deep breath, there is life after Fabergas. That being said, it may not be the life that you had hoped for. Having gone through a similar meltdown when Ronaldo made the decision to go off to sunny Madrid, I awoke one day and realized that we are in 2nd place in the EPL and had a decent run in the CL. No question, life seems like all gloom and doom for the fans now that your best player is off to his childhood club, but it gets easier after a while, it really does.
The real challenge will be to attract the top players when you sell your best player by a country mile. Players will question if you are serious about winning the major trophies when you let your top player go. The fact that you haven’t won anything in 5 years also adds to that concern and lastly but very importantly, the fact that you don’t pay well all adds up to a tough time landing the best players to replace Cesc.

In your universe Arsene is not good for Arsenal – then who would be better – realistically? Your mate Harry who spent over £ 140million on new players in 2-seasons and only just got 4th? Your bestest buddy Mourinho who has already signed at Real Madrid and enjoys his teams playing the worst football as well as spending the most money on transfers in the leagues he works in? What about Sven? Or maybe we should Tony back?

Or – you could point out – if you’re being fair of course, that Man Utd and the blue C##ts have stronger squads because they buy players with £ 700million debt or someone else’s money. Neither of them care about the long term, and neither should be allowed to trade in any industry let alone football. Support the double winners – they have loads of cash and they have a new manager every season – hope you’re happy.

The rest of us will be happy to support the greatest manager on this planet today, right now in fact, who happens to be at Arsenal. He at least can assure us of Champions League football every season, and gave us 3-opportunities of the title this season before injuries robbed us. Go to Fulham and support Cashley – i will cheer you all the way.

Me – I know Arsene is the only solution for Arsenal right now, and into the future. Paid for my season ticket again, and can’t wait to see who we sign – a Vermaelen who is an instant hit, or a Song who we’ll laugh at, and then be proud of later.

You can go and support Ballack and his mates like Terry.

I’m so glad you wrote this piece. It just showed the difference in perception between you & a lot of sensible gooners out there. The comments section has just made made my day. I’m thrilled that a lot of Arsenal fans still understand that having taken this club from the small Highbury stadium to the Emirates, Wenger’s choices, though not always acceptable have always been made for Arsenal’s long term stability & success. We could have become a Leeds United. Fans like you should support Real Madrid, you’ll get what you want every year.Oh, without the trophies.

Seriously do you think any manager can cope with around £350 million debt and still stay in the top 4 in the last 5 season? I trust Wenger because anybody with half a brain will realise that he has done an exceptional job under the circumstances. He has money to spend NOW because of his fine management in the past.

Cesc may go, which is sad for Arsenal and for Wenger. But i don’t blame Cesc, who has given Arsenal a superb 7 years. I don’t blame Wenger who has nutured him into a sparkling diamond. Give Wenger more time, he deserves our patience.

So, it is wenger’s fault that cesc is homesick and wants to return to barca. It is also wenger’s fault that we suffered the injuries that denied us trophies and perhaps ended Cesc’s patience in hanging around. And most significantly, we should take away Wenger’s responsibility of signing players, and perhaps get cesc (or cashley hole, or henry, or whomever thinks we are not spending enough) to handle transfers for us. ok now down to business so Cesc goes… Are you old enough to remember Anelka, Overmars, Viera, Henry leaving; after each player left the media said we’d never recover. Each time we did, with no money due the stadium development we have held our position in the top 4. Selling players for massive profit is good business not bad business. So we have serious resources now. We buy Gourcuff who has played with Chamakh so already he has that part of the spine covered. We buy a central defender, a goalkeeper and suddenly we are back up to speed. Gourcuff is a DAMN good player if you saw him in the CL, another Cesc in the making. Exciting times believe me. I’d rather be supporting Arsene’s Arsenal than Rafa’s Liverpool right now… All good things come to an end and I bet Arsene saw all this coming ages before before the media look of surprise and has anticipated it. It’s like this: the board want to run the club on the cheap, maximum return on minimum investment which means scraping the champion’s league spot each while making a profit in the transfer market. Big salaries are one thing, they’ll accept paying high salaries to inadequate players in exchange for not having the capital outlay it would require to actually purchase a proper squad of experienced proven world class winners. Wenger is on the same page with the board on this because he gets a big fat salary, he gets a big fat bonus for running the squad on the cheap. He gets full control over player purchases and sales. He gets to setup a training academy type environment where he can do what he likes to do: have fun with his young boys on thr training pitch doing beautiful artistic choreography with no pressure from the board, no squad full of world-beaters and egos to cause him difficulties. And then of course the board and Arsene have the perfect smokescreen under which to run this swindle: the so-called “self-sustaining financial model” which, like most obfuscations is completely opposite from the truth, namely, the financial model is designed to sustain and maximize THEIR wealth.

The money is there. It always has been. The stadium move and the so-called “self-sustaining financial model” is a smokescreen. Sure, there were some times and seasons which required more conservative financial prudence than previous seasons and situations, but the board and Arsene have taken advantage of the stadium move and the so-called “self-sustaining financial model” to run the squad on the cheap when they simply didn’t have to.
