   This is why I never say anything after the game because you are angry, WBA came to play and they did, Wenger did make the wrong team selection and tactics with his eye on Tuesday, but it happens, we know we need a keeper, every one knows we need a keeper, but this is football, I feel sorry for Nasri because he didn’t deserve to be on the losing side, yes Diaby isn’t good enough but the midfield did nothing to help the defence. the buck stops with Wenger.

   In all fairness, Song was a monster last season but has not started brilliantly this season and Diaby was getting some form but has just returned from injury. These players have played a LOT of game so far this seaosn, what with our usual list of amputees, cripples etc in rehab. The team needs refreshing but cannot see that happening for anothrr few weeks. Koscielny had a bad game but has had good games for us. Don;t suddenly call everyone crap becasue we lost. They were crap today but many and most are quality players. Credit to West brom, they played very well and we played like muppets. Were we complacent?? Eboue is a good squad player and admittedly he didn;t have a great game. A real shock! Let see how we respond on Tuesday. Sagna’s crossing has improved leaps and bounds this season..come on.

   It was a dire all round performance but a team with Championship ambitions should in no way be losing this type of game.

    I wrote to Arsenal four years ago to sell Almunia and Senderos. As Wenger said,Almunia did great on the training ground.Then keep him on the training ground. I’ve not been supporting Arsenal four years ago since they are not willing to invest in good players. Why should I spend my TIME & MONEY on them. The only games I really enjoy in the past four years were against Barcelona. Barce really taught Arsenal how to play attacking,entertaining football.One more thing,Fabregas,it’s time to go back to Barce. Don’t waste your time with a club that is not going to win anything.

    I do often wonder if the whole premiership is staged…you know finding the balance between keeping the rich happy and fans across the league happy, so they keep paying the dollar. It’s just a thought ofcourse but when is the last time Arsenal won a match after Chelski have failed.     Im sorry but I disagree. Song is one of the best DM’s in the league and look how young he is. If you think he is not good enough then go support another club because he is as big a player we will get at Arsenal for that position. The only better DM’s I can think off play for better clubs and joining Arsenal would be “A step down” for them.

    Im not trolling im just a realistic Arsenal fan and I feel you support the wrong club.

    Diaby is also exceptional. Just because he does not get the goals or assists like Cesc people think he is rubbish. Considering he is not even a first team starter and is a French capped player speaks for itself.

    As for Eboue, he is a second choice right back. In the Premier league he is probably the second best second string right back.

    just got back from the game. THOUGHTS ARE. Almunia gets a 10 out of 10 for his fabianski impression. Since song scored against bolton he now beleives hes bergkamp. do your job protect the defence. thats why he was sent off against sunderland because he was out of position boing silly tackles from behind. Clichy is getting worse season by season. Needs to be dropped for a run of games to give him a kick up the arse. Arshavin barley moved and eboue was everywhere but his actual position. the scariest thing for me though was after the 2 mistakes the fans sarcastically cheeered alunia when he touched the ball he appered to on a few occasions to be swearing and shouting back at the fans, he looked so distracted and not focused. very worrying.

    The main concern is we got Almunia as our #1 GK, and Fabianski as our second.

    And we’re not sharp enough in front. Chamakh is OK, but he needs a tandem in the box.

    This post was clearly made based on anger. Song has potential * is one of the best DMs in the league. However, the main problem today was:
    1) Diaby wan not match-fit
    2)Eboue is not a right midfielder
    3) We thought we had this game in the bag & Wenger thought any combination of a starting 11 would see us win

    It is clear that without key players we often struggle to win. This needs to change. Who can remember a single time when CESC, RVP & VERMINATOR & ARSHAVIN PLAYED & we still lost?

    aW MUST leave money matters of AFC in the hands of people who are trained professionally, and employed ( by merit ) to do so.

    As long as he continues to see himself as the director of finance or the ‘accountant’ AFC will never have a coach focused enough to do the job he is being paid to do. Money is distracting him.     its easy to have a go when we lose but some of these points have to be put in sperpective. Almunia is crap plain and simple why wenger could see this is beyond me and his replacement is shit. when the defense fails then the goalie must be last at his best and he never is. Squllaci and Kos werent great but i dont think they were shit. the first goal was sagna’s fault and the second is down to almunia and a combination of clichy falling asleep and almunia losing his mind gifted them the 3rd. Nasri needed creative help and AA, diaby, song did not give him any. eboue should be starting at right back not midfield. yes we were missing alot of player and on paper the team started should have beaten west brom but i would rather have the 3 pin the bag before players are rested.

    Wow. One poor performance and all those players you can simply dismiss all those players as “not good enough”!?!?
    Song has been our most consistent performer over the past couple of years and because he’s had a bit of a slow start this year, all of a sudden hes not good enough!? Saying it’s song’s job just to sit in front of the defense is naive. Do you REALLY think he just does as he pleases??? The whole point is that diaby is developing into a good DM as well, so they can both attack with a bit more freedom, with one covering the other. I guess it didnt work well today..
    Diaby and eboue were also excellent last season (manu was even good as a winger btw), but you can just throw them under the bus because of one poor game. It’s pathetic that you’d use this one game as cause to attack all of these players.
    That said, it looks like almunia has really lost it. He was a good keeper a few years ago. We would have won the league in ’08 were it not for eduardo’s injury and a host of refereeing decisions. Almunia was good enough for us then, but he lost his way more recently. I had been hoping he could get it back. Clichy is another who seems to have fallen from grace. Also a great player in ’07/08, but now horribly inconsistent.

    @K-d – It’s the same for any club. Chelsea and particularly Utd struggle without their key players. Trouble is we still had enough of ours to win this game really. Song is usually amazing, chamakh has already proven himself as a top player in my eyes, and arshavin is SUPPOSED to be one of our best players – so we should have had enough. I felt wenger got it wrong tactically. He seemed to go for a very physical side, but we lacked creativity. There was no need to play diaby AND eboue. Denilson, vela, rosicky (or wilshere) could have made a better contribution. It was excusable for wenger to try this physical side, but it was clear by half time that we were in severe need of creativity, and he should have changed it. In addition, I think a lot of the blame has to go to the players today. They didnt play anywhere near to the standard they are capable, and I suppose they were complacent and expecting an easier game – that doesn’t mean that they deserve to be labelled as “simply not good enough” however!

    We were lucky at Sunderland we should have lost! If players think they can turn up for a Sunday kick about against teams in the best league in the world then they are mistaken. Give the lads in the reserves a chance and perhaps they will exert some effort. To lose trying is one thing!

    Was it a good idea to announce yesterday the profits we made ? could it have gotten into their heads, feeling of being ‘big boys’ club? feelin they could walk over west brom and see 3 points? I think a serious question need to be asked bout the team maturity… we lost in similar fashion towards last season ending to wigan, after leading 2-0. Its ok to lose a game, after all its football..but suppose we had lost to Blackpool this way, we would know something is definitely not right. I have a feeling AW knows what to do bout some players.     Most of you mugs have been banging on all week about the great result at WHL, how well we played, how we were now genuine contenders, how we have a fantastic depth of squad and today, according to you, all our players are rubbish.

    Fickle much?? You need to go and support the tiny totts as their fans have been suffering from this fickleness for ever and our great team doesn’t need your negativity.

    Today was a terrible performance and a disasterous result not because our players are rubbish but because we are Arsenal and we expect to win every game we play.

    I will put it plain and simple. Without Fabregas and Van Persie we have NO other World Class players and we are ordinary and there for the taking. You take out Vermaelen, Walcott and the rest of the injured we are a middle of the pack team. We get our best players on the field for any kind of long term we could compete. Otherwise the others are not great. Observe this: During the summer there are only 2 players on our team usually linked or wanted by anybody good and that’s Cesc and V Persie. You never hear this headline “Barcelona in for Diaby, willing to fork out the cash” That’s because they are not rated anywhere outside of Wenger’s brain.
