What is the point of Tomas RoSICKy?

Seriously! Can somebody please tell me why this geezer is still at the club cashing a wage?

What is the point in keeping Tomas Alwaysicky at Arsenal anymore?  We signed Rosicky in 2006 and in 5 years he has played a mighty 88 league games and 121 games in total, disgusting!!!

Rosický did not feature for Arsenal during the entire 2008–09 season due to his strange hamstring tendon injury. He eventually returned to full training in May 2009, after eighteen months of absence, that’s more time out then Eduardo & Ramsey who both suffered broken legs. 18 months out for a hamstring injury?.. DISGUSTING!!!

In August 2009, he had again picked up another niggling injury, this time straining his hamstring, again out for six weeks.

In Jan 2010,  Arsenal did something amazing…for some crazy reason Arsenal & Wenger rewarded him with a NEW long-term deal?….WHY?…What did he do to justify a new contract?

And now YET again Rosicky is OUT  and will miss this weekends game vs Wolves with, wait for it.. this time its a groin problem he picked up playing for the Czech Republic in midweek.

What has this player ever done at Arsenal? I can seriously only think of a handful of moments since 2006, how the hell did he manage to get a new deal but we allowed players like Edu, Flamini, Fran Merida to leave on a FREE?

No doubt Rosicky will return in 4/6 weeks, come on a sub and give away a pen and get a new deal until 2020 before picking up a broken toe nail.

Sorry Tomas but you are robbing the club.

rosicky is actually a great player it’s just that his injury problems haven’t helped him one bit and he contributes a lot in the games he plays dyu know whether if he will be available for barca

  2. mike says:

Rosicky is like an injury prone Iniesta, but not as good.

  3. bob says:

no u fuckign moron eren he’s shit,

  4. dEX says:

Rosicky WAS a good player, but he has passed his time. He will still attract lesser clubs in europe so i say let him go in the summer. The main reason rosicky got a new deal was to coax fabregas in staying. Fabregas and rosicky are good friends and selling him would not of helped cesc to stay.
I still feel we are £50 million short of being a fearsome side. Sell Diaby,Eboue,Rosicky,Almunia,Bendtner,Denilson,Arshavin, And buy Sakho,Hazard,Benzema/Lakuku,Van der wiel. Splash the cash man. Tottenham was willing to pay £35 million for aguero FFS.
Players like Ramsey,Lansbury and Miyachi WILL make it also. \btw Have you seen how quick with the ball miyachi is?
He is Gareth Bale quick!!!!!!!!! His speed and dribbling is IDENTICAL to his.

  5. Family Enclosure Man says:

    1. The guy’s a class act. Some of his through-balls for others this season have been sublime (though rarely converted, but that’s not his fault). You need strength in depth in the squad and I for one rate Rosicky far higher than the likes of, say, Diaby.

    2. I suspect that this article is a knee-jerk reaction to the fact that he had a bit of a ‘mare when he was sent on in very difficult circumstances last weekend when he was only one of many who lost the plot – but he at least has the excuse that the others lost it before him and he was supposed to be the cavalry sent on to save the day. Didn’t work, I know, but there have been precious few such moments like this for Rosicky at Arsenal. Plus it was never a penalty.

    3. I don’t think ‘DISGUSTING!’ is a fair reaction to the problems of a player who has suffered more than anyone (yes, really – you yourself pointed out that he was out far longer than Ramsay or Eduardo with his hamstring tendon problem). ‘Disgusting’ is a word I’d reserve for the morally-compromised likes of Joey Barton; being injury-prone is not morally compromising, just unlucky.

    4. Offering him a new contract might seem a perverse risk under the circumstances, but the alternative would have been to have lost him on a free. At least this way, AW has a chance to get the guy fit and put him in the shop-window, if nothing else.

All in all, I think this article is well OTT and deeply unfair to a good man and a good player.

  6. eren says:

bob dyu even watch football u stupid retard go support shite hart lane u downey

  7. Byo says:

This article is way over the top. It provides no nuance or balance. Yes, Rosicky has not played a whole lot of games in Arsenal shirt, mainly due to injuries, which are basically not his wish. To call him disgusting is unfair, unfortunate and thoughtless.

I will put my faith in Wenger to do what he believes is right in terms of assembling a squad. And definitely not in the hands of experts on the internet, who have never assembled or manage one. Calling for which players to be sold/bought without knowledge of the club’s financial position, without knowledge of the thinking of the management team, etc rarely makes any sense.

I really wonder how many have seen the players they desire play. How do you know they will fit in the team?

  8. Bermy Boy says:

Sorry to say but for me Rosicky does a lot of nothing. He runs and does that same cut back, but cant score for Arsenal for nothing! Yes he does make a few good through passes but his inconsistency finds him just running a lot and you have to question, what is he really doing?!!! I feel that he flatters to deceive and we can definitely get a better player to replace him.

  9. Iceman Gunner says:

I have kept patience with Rosicky for a while. Purely on the basis of seeing him do some amazing things while in his time at Dortmund and the clone that plays on Internationals that always seems to score.

But he just hasnt got what it takes to cut it. The fact that he failed to impose himself against Huddersfield says a lot.

Ok he’s been injured for a long time but so has Robin van Persie. Yet credit to RVP for looking absolutely world class when he returns.

Having said that, he should take a paycut if he wants to remain and make cameo appearances

  10. London81 says:

I can’t believe you are praising Rosicky! He has been absolutely incompetent again this season. He was yet AGAIN the root cause of 2 of newcastles comeback goals last week and has contributed nothing but weakness to the team. His body language is always negative, he lacks conventration and is brushed off the ball as if he is made of toilet paper. I hope he goes in the summer as him and squillaci are costing the rest of the team their chance of a trophy. His performances are indefensible and I cannot believe you people are watching the same player. Watch him off the ball too, he is aweful.

  11. Harry says:

Sinbad, sorry mate, you obviously do not understand football at all and your misguided belief that you actually support this great club is shown to be a joking. I find your articles to be so anti-arsenal and I just cannot understand your motives……

  12. Craigie says:

He was a fundamental part of the 07/08 midfield which for me is the best midfield we’ve had in 5 years. The reason our title challenge crumbled was because he got injured, not Eduardo.

His problem is that he is amazing but he hasn’t shown it for so long that it’s likely it will never show again but because Wenger knows he has it in him to be exactly what we need he will never give up on him and replace him.

If we do get Hazard Rosicky will be the one who suffers. Right now he is a squad player anyway. I don’t blame Rosicky for Arshavin being out of form and Nasri being injured. Look at any other club in this league, none of their backup is particularly good.

Rosicky being at our club is the least of our problems.

  13. Danish Gooner says:

Rosicky is one of the worst buys ever.He is not committed, injured, lacking physically, mentally weak, shows no passion, runs around like a headless chicken, have absolutely no sense of danger when defending, rubbish going forward, the weakest tackle in the game,in total absolutely utter pants.I would rather station a traffic cone as our eleventh player then play Rosicky.

  14. Curt says:

To be fair, Rosicky is nothing more to this team than a player to make up the numbers on the pitch. He’s only good for giving our better midfielders a rest, and even then he’s becoming a liability.

Can’t see much more future for him but of course wish him every bit of luck in striking some good form.

  15. mabs says:

keep him just in case but don’t play him if you don’t have to… if we lose him then all the injuries will happen and then denislon and squallia will be co-captains… they are the lorrel and hardy of fooball… fucking clowns!

  16. GTID says:

what a bunch of fucking morons, those who keep insulting rosicky and blaming him for getting injured, fickle bunch of idiots with very short memories, before he got injured he was one of the top players in europe and formed the best midfield there was with fab, flamini and hleb. as someone correctly pointed out that our title challenge that year collapsed because of HIS injury not anyone else’s. unfortunately injuries have robbed him of his best peak years (hes acknowledged so himself) and while he hasnt returned to his spectacular best since his injury hes proven to be a useful squad player who (as we saw against blackpool, liverpool etc) can be brought on to make the team more direct. so he had a mare who doesnt, its very rare that thats the case. and to say that he isnt passionate about arsenal and that his ‘off the ball movement is awful’ when thats probably one of his strengths as a creative playmaker (you could certainly criticism him for other things) shows that some people know nothing about football.

  17. cameo says:

Rosciky is an utter pant on the pitch.the most uncreative attacking midfielder ever. always flattering to deceive. i’ve watched him closely since he joined. barring a few long range efforts this guy hasnt achieved anything in the 5 years he’s been at arsenal. No assists, no goals, no influence, whats the use of this overrated geezer?
