Sad fact is that Wenger had the chance of signing players in the summer to help push us on ALL fronts! For whatever reasons Wenger decided in his wisdom not to… again
And now yet again our season is falling apart, In 2 weeks we have gone from winning the quadruple to now just the league and thats with a bunch of players stripped down to the bare bones.
Wenger has brought much of this onto himself, his lack of spending and unwillingness to bring in new players is eating away at this club like a cancer. Someone PLEASE remind me why we didn’t buy a CB in January?.. Oh yes that’s right, Because TV5 was due back “soon”… I’m sorry lads but IF only Wenger had gone out and signed 2 players in January i strongly believe that we would have been TOP of the league and still in the FA cup and Champions league… and would have WON the Carling Cup final.
But its not just about Wengers lack of spending, its also his tactics. With no Cesc who would you play in the CM role behind the strikers?.. No doubt 90% of you are saying Nasri. But Wenger uses Rosicky and today the same player he used as a DM vs Barca DIABY!… I just cant understand it? Why is Wenger so in love with this 4-5-1 when it clearly NOT working.
I really feel sorry for Jack Wilshere. he has just got into the team and is desperate to play well every game and yet he has to play with these f*ckers who earn a fortune and have no passion.
We have a good core of first team players but when injuries are inevitable (as they are these days) the other players should be worth their wages (Rosicky, Denilson, Diaby, Chamakh)
Some of our players have neither exceptional ability or strength and fight. To be fair to the Utd players they make up for their lack of ability with passion and desire – things that Wenger claims we have.
So thats it, now we can concentrate on screwing the league up… God help us

yes i agree that the league is out of reach now with jd injurd and tv5 nowhere near return. i agree wenger messed up by not buying a cb in january. we lost today because we do not know how to play against united. united specifically change their formation in order to play us, yet wenger persists with the same tactics every time against them when clearly it doesn’t work. the best chance to beat united is to play 4-4-2, thats how we’ve had most of our successes against them. wenger is a brilliant manager and coach, but it just makes me so annoyed how stubborn he is, i don’t understand why he can’t change the tactics for different games and why he cannot buy when he needs to buy, it’s just so frustrating, i’m still 100% behind him, but i don’t know how long it will last…
Wenger is totally out of his depth when up against the best teams. Past two matches just makes me feel ashamed of believing in him. We are still far from a top team. Time for Wenger to go – he’s not the one to lead us back to the top. Bring on Jose Mourinho, we’d have a much better chance with him. Wenger always hides behind excuses. Time for him to go – it’s been 6 barren years.

Every year Wenger refuses to replace clear losers like Rosicky, Denilson and Diaby and also refuses to strengthem the defence and goalkeeping positions. He laughs at supporters and goes “I know better than you, I’m the manager”. The same damn thing year after year after year! Every year we fall apart in March and win nothing but clever Mr. Wenger will not change and the board will not change becasue he has made them comfortable with regular champions league qualification.
Who has any realistic ideas on how to fix this situation? It is simply out of control.

If one looks back Wenger has become an also ran in the majority of the important games in the past year or two as a manager, not quite falling into the Dowie/McClaren mould but he’s not far off.
I like many Gooners have lost confidence in him and the team and judging by past performances I can’t see us winning the league in fact I think a 3rd place finish so we don’t have to play a qualifying game to enter the champions league proper is where we’ll probably end up if we’re lucky that is….

40m is quite realistic in todays market where andy carrol costs 35m. almunia for about 3m, diaby and denilson for 12m, rosicky for 5m, squilacci for 5m and bendtner for 10m+ which is 35m+ wich could go up to 40m. and i was implying vertonghen was 10m and benzema was 30m, you my friend are the retard if u can’t see that

We were never going to get past Barca nor past ManU(not with dis loser). So d game was up as soon as d draws were made. I also lost faith in wenger 2 years ago when he persisted with players like almunia, denilson, bender and eboue. The main mistake he made was letting flaming and lass diarra go the same year. When song is out we have not got anyone to play md to protect the defense, I agree that we could add one cb but u can have the best cb in the world they will be hopeless if they do not get protection from midfield.
As to letting wenger go I have no problem with that but must ensure we will get somoene better. Be careful what we wish for!

The reality is this – and it is obvious for anyone who actually watched the game today.
Arsenal did not finish their chances. Pure and simple.
1.Koschenly (sp) had a massive chance, and VanDerSar made a brilliant save.
2.Chamak had a weak header that most strikers from that range should/would burry in the back of the net. His confidence is low, his ability, his… whatever you wanna say about him – he is not up to snuff atm
3. Rosicky had a brilliant chance in the 80′th minute to score, but totally whiffed… also, a player that has had a pooooor season.
There were other “opportunities” but none as clear-cut chances as those 3, which MOST times should and will result in goals. United took their chances well (for whatever reason you want to insert – goaltending, poor defending, etc, etc).
We should not have lost this game, but we did.
Goaltending was a problem, yes.
Finishing was a problem, yes.
