   Possibly Denilson and Squillaci too.

   We should loan out Mannone for a whole season and then buy Shay Given to compete with Fabianski and Szczesny (he’d basically be number 1)

   Then try and keep Cesc, but if he really wants to go and we are offered £45m then let him.

   Then buy Eden Hazard or Jesus Navas. If we bought Navas, Nasri could play in the centre.

    I agreed with the contents of the article. Arsenal players are becoming like the spoilt children who doesn’t have any ambition in life. But Arsenal supporters are the most sensible and patient supporters I ever saw. They gave enough time to the board and the manager inorder to fix things up at a reasonable time. Wengers’ philosophy couldn’t match half of Barcelonas’ on two occasions. The sad thing is their failure to compute with the lesser teams in the premiership and championship. Players like Fabrigas (captain) were mocking and belitteling this great CLUB by flirting with other teams for about two years. Is Wenger out of sorts? He treats fans and global admirers of this CLUB as simple students who are supposed to listen his selected intellectual words and sentences, week-in week-out. It is time for the Fans to say their feelings loud inorder to save their beloved CLUB.

    I agree with N7 Gooner – that is ridiculous! The club is trying to balance the books and ensure that Arsenal are run as a proper business unlike a fantasy football club like Chelsea or Man City. We all knew that we wouldn’t be spending much for the first few years at the grove. We just all need to get behind the team at the moment rather than spend 15 minutes writing nonesense!

    It’s always easy to say don’t renew season tickets , but the way it’s sorted , if you don’t renew you get replaced and go to the back of the queue for tickets. Never going to happen. Any protest requires a little more thought than that.

    Boycott the club shop is a more likely outcome.

    as for the argument of balancing the books, under the new UEFA rules you have a three year cycle to balance the books and interest payments on infrastructure ie stadium training ground DO NOT count. So strip out our interest payment and we make around £30M profit. Any purchases are written off over the length of contract. Spend £50M in the summer will reduce the profit to £20M per season.

    What the fans are crying out for is an end to “operation youth will work sometime in the future but do not know when!

    Yes I have, might have something to do with fans like you who rather than support their team will willingly leave early so as to get home 20 mins before you would if you left at full time. Luckily for you though Arsenal have put some of our “wasted money” into the area and there is now planned improvement to transport around the area so that you wont have to leave so early and embarrass the fans who stay to the final whistle.

    Bruce Rioch wasn’t sacked for doing a bad job, it was some sort of disagreement and he bought bergkamp to the club. He finished 5th and got a cup semi in his first season.

    If the Arsenal board, were so unhappy being in the Champions League every season, playing the best football in England, and still have balanced books, I am pretty sure they would have booted Wenger a long time ago. I am positive you been ruined by Football Manager and the unlimited spending power of Chelsea and Manchester City – but Arsenal and other “normal” teams don’t have the money to buy 5-6 super stars per transfer window. I only have to point at the outrageous spending of Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Chelsea this season to tell you big spending does not always ensure you trophies! That said I would still welcome players like Cahill and Hazard in the summer.

    Banging on about how we can never spend like Chelsea and man city doesn’t paper over the cracks in this squad. I’m not overly interested in marquee signings on massive wages that sell plenty of shirts. What I am interested in is investment in decent players! Wenger points to the size of his squad yet I can think of at least 6 that would struggle to make a championship team. Denilson is one of the worst players I’ve ever seen in the red and white. Bendtner talks a good game, he’s big and lazy and a poor man’s John hartson. Diaby is straight up shit. Almunia must be Spanish for “clown”. squallachi would struggle in league one. Rosicky is about 1/50th of the player he was. We need a clear out and proper investment. Spuds paid 8m for van der varrt. He’s world class affordable and linked with arsenal. We didn’t sign him cos we gets stubborn belief in the toss mentioned above is unwavering. I think the number 2 position is the one that needs to change. Pat rice may be a long serving veteran but he would never challenge wenger. Make him ask questions of himself and make sure he takes his pills. This summer something must change. Otherwise next season will be the same as the six that have gone before it and the inevitable pattern will never be broken. In Arsene we rust.

    I feel proper gutted about the situation at present, i wish wenger would have spent and strengthened the squad as we are clearly not as strong as 2 years ago (No Ade, no toure, no gallas, no gilberto etc).

    But i going to piss alot of people of by saying my heart says give him 2 more years as i feel we are very close. Wenger is no fool and lets hope he now knows his squad is not good enough.

    I feel for what he has done for the club and how his dream and previous ambition has turned us into semi giants rather than being the size of spuds like we used to be, he deserves abit more respect and time. If nothing in 2 years, then yes get rid of him.

    I say it again Pep Guardiola is the solution, he will get the best out of our players but still along with Wenger, some have to go too !!! Almunia, Fabienski, Squillaci, Clichy, Denilson, Chamakh, Rosicky needs to go too.
    Players like Begovic ( stock ) Gary Cahill ( bolton ) Jan Vertonghen ( ajax ) Baines ( everton ) Harsard ( lille ) Douglas Costa ( Shakhtar Donetsk ) Sahin ( Dortmund ) will surely make Arsenal unstoppable with the coaching ability of Pep Guardiola.
    Also players like Lansbury Vela Miquel ust be given more playing with Arsenal rather than sending on loan !

    What a load of rubbish – do you not realise that if people don’t renew their season tickets there will be plenty of people on the waiting list ready to take them? As for the person who said ripping up seats…please go and support another club. No one really knows what’s going on at the club and the contraints Wenger is working under with regards to spending money. YES Wenger needs to change and as a season ticket holder it’s frustrating to watch players like Denilson but the blame doesn’t lie solely with the manager.

    Too many spoilt brats on this site. A true fan is supposed to support a team thru thick n thin, not just the good times. In five years this club will have the highest revenue turnover and profit and you all want success now. This club is well run, ok its not perfect but things are done the correct way and should be and are admired by many. Look at Tottenham, they might be thru to the next stage of the Champions League, but they have no stadium plans finallised, have spent twice as much on players in the last five years and will probably need a new manager when the court case comes out in June. There are many ups and downs but if every team responded the way you are asking, how many managers would last one season!

    i realy hope alot of you boycott some of next seasons games as i might be able to get a ticket, you fans piss me off, we are second in the league, above chelsea, above man-shitty, above spuds, above liverpool, with still a chance of winning the title(very slim) but still the chance is there. when was the last time liverpool won the league or the spuds for that matter. i couldnt get to the match so i had to watch it on tv and what i noticed was the lack of support for our team, where was the singing, there was no inspiration from 40,000 plus arsenal fans, they needed their 12th man and what were the arsenal supporters doing? il tell you, you booed, swore, jeered and verbaly abused them, instead of lifting them to do better, yes you cheer win we’re winning but the players need us more when they need to be lifted. i dont give a damn if we win the title ever again, i love arsenal, i will always support my team and i will stand by whatever arsene does as hes an amazing manager/man.

His transfer policy is outdated at best. Project youth has given us Wilshere and that’s about it. The play on the pitch has become overly predictable and less talented teams do not fear playing Arsenal. We are a big club with a manager living off past years success, its time to move this club forward and compete for titles. Wenger out! Pep IN!!!!!!     The theme of this article ‘ no spend until you spend ‘ is right & a glut of non renewals of season tickets would wake up the board as they would be in for a huge shock as they think they are protected by a huge waiting list but will soon find out how shallow that is as invitees in their droves are suddenly unable to stump up the soon to be increased already huge sums charged & drop off the list.
    One of the earlier responders suggested throwing seats on the pitch but NO we have more class than that. Better would be a majority boycott by season ticket holders of the last home match of the season vs Aston Villa. I went to the away Juventus game where 8,000 fans rattled eerily around an 80,000 capacity ground. It would be a great show of contempt against the complacent money obsessed board & our stubborn, vain & egotistical manager.
    The abolition of the Arsenal TV channel was a ‘stalinist’ act to close off an avenue to voice complaint & anger via the Friday phone in which was visible to the whole nation rather than the current webcast available only to those willing to pay yet more money & thus reaching a tiny audience.
    The board & Wenger continue to reside in an Ivory tower unaware of the ever increasing seething anger of lifelong loyal fans that are treated by the club as simply a Cash Cow to be bled dry.
    If we continue to be docile & silently pay up then the situation will not change & the frustration which includes never having the joy of stellar signings will go on & on.
    We were initially told that the move to the Emirates would mean our club competing in the top end of the transfer market but we’ve been conned. Exhorbitant ticket prices go towards a mammoth players salary bill which includes cosy enormous contracts to very average squad players which are insurance policies to gain sizeable transfer fees if & when any player is sold. As the debt rapidly decreases the share values rise & the inevitable future new owner eventually buys a debt free club. WE continue to scrape together the cash to fill their ever bulging pockets but surely the time has arrived to stand together & say NO !! …. We the Cash Cow will NOT continue to be milked until you listen to us acknowledge us by required action & not with the contempt & disdain we currently receive.

Our commercial arm — you know, the part of the club tasked with revenue — has also undergone notable expansion, with new personnel being continually added and new sponsor/business realtionships being forged. This requires significant monetary investment.
    To assert that we do not invest enough is either to deny reality or ignore it.

    Some of you need to accept the fact we are a club AND a business; and I think the consesus is that Arsenal is a fine business: we make astute investments, both on and off the pitch; we operate sensibly within our limits and we have a long-term strategy for the club.
    I also happen to think, even if some you don’t, that we are a fine sporting club: we play some superb football, we continually compete — 11 years on the trot, isn’t it? — in the UEFA Champions League, we challenge for the league, even when our competitors have had an unfair advantages i.e. mega-rich owners, and we have an indentity and enviable history. We are a fantastic club, Gooners.

    I concede, yes, that in recent years we have not been as successful as we could or should have been, but such is the nature of the game, eh.

    My fellow Gooners, we shall once again taste glory and, oh, how sweet it will taste! Keep the faith! And take pride, if not in the club, in the support of YOUR club — which, yes, includes valid criticism.

    People have strong opinions about things they truly care about. Fans are going to disagree. Its part of being a supporter. Wenger has given us many glory years. But as someone who loves arsenal it’s my right as a fan to be able to criticise some thing I spend so much of my life being dedicated too. We don’t need miricle’s, we need some investment. And a change in attitude that takes this team from almost men to real champions. The expectations have been magnified and the need to invest made paramount to any achieve any success. We have the other side of the coin and to a degree it’s worked The quality of wilshere this season and the progress of a few “key” players is encouraging to see. 3 more players and a change in attitude will see this team as champions. We all want the same thing but even the AKB have to acknowledge that we can not continue without some “changes” in our approach. Wenger needs to take responsibilty for some of his mistakes ( denilson, diaby, bendtner) and finally show some intent with some investment. If what I’ve said makes me a spurs fan in the eyes of the AKB then so be it. But I love my club and I wouldn’t be a true fan if I didn’t care in one way or another.

I remember said exactly that 3yrs ago, Arsenal funs to boycott c’son ticket unless Wenger and his board signed the players we want to see with red & white shirt , its your right not a favour. In Spain funs decides not the sturborn manager who’s busy enriching a few p’ple instead of work on build the legacy we will love to be proud of..after 5yrs no one remember tht Arsene help Arsenal to build a state of the art stadium bt we still remember those days @ highbury with Viera. I still give credit to Viera for all the trophies,record & spirit we had to Viera & his team mate not Wenger. Fergie dismantled the team tht brought him treble and it took him only 2 c’son b4 he came back & won 3 consecutive epl and uèfa C.L bt it took Wenger 7yrs to buy,polish & sold out 4 profits. Without even care abt funs who pays his wages. For how long will you be fooled to realize Wenger is untrustworthy. Cesc will go,Nasri,RVP & Arsh bt Diaby will not, that’s their policy..

    Well this article you posted makes sense but lets forget wenger and co for the time being and focus on what we all love ARSENAL!! Every season we hope that we get back to winning trophies and so far we have failed for the last 6 seasons…
    We have to realise a key factor from when we won the leauge up to now, why did we change personel so quickly from that incredible undefeated season in 2004, we should have least kept a few of these players at the club,we lost all of them to quick and this is were I am critical of Wenger, he had the over 30 player policy as he had this genious plan of playing with youth, dont get me wrong I am all for youths coming into the team and hats of to him for spotting talent, but you cannot not have expierience of winners in a squad.. We kept Dennis for as much as we could to help us achieve who did we keep on from that squad Remember when we sold Gilberto he was still captain of Brazil for gods sake and we decided to let him go… Another mistake was Flamini we dont have that kind of player in our team he is not exactly playing for a mid table team he is doing so well for Milan!
    Yet we still se giggs and scholes at Man Utd to charge the troops hope you get my point..

As an Arsenal fun & as far as i`m concern we have tolerated Wenger & this greedy board enough than we can tolerates our wives. Seven years of empty promises,7yrs of humiliation from our rivals fans especially Man u & Chelsky fans. We have become a laughing stork & promised to wait 4 next c`son yet our manager and his greedy board stay behind the scene enjoying themselves. As for Pep Guardiola, I think he is a great manager and what he has done at Barcelona is unmistakeably brilliant but he was pretty lucky in that he didnt have to build a squad of players. He inherited a squad ready to win. Plus he has said himself after Barca he will take time out of football because he has over the years been under so much stress that he has not been able to relax ever.

    Boycotting Season Tickets, Great Idea. If it means we will not have to suffer the multitude of whingers, moaners and cry babies the club have accumulated since the move to the Emirates then that’s fantastic. There are more than enough people to snap the tickets up and be given a chance to regularly see and support their team. Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool will gladly snap up second hand glory hunting ‘Fans’.
