I'm going to place a nice bet on England NOT to win the world cup. I think it's a dead cert. Even under Capello you can see it's still the same England. Half the squad are in bad form, and the ones in good form won't start anyway. I'm sure he'll still have Gerrard on the left rather than Downing or Young, two very "England-esque" 442 wide men. They'll always play Heskey or Crouch as the second striker rather than Gerrard or Lampard, even though they're meant to be the best in the world.

2 good group games, 1 average group game, a good last 16 game, out in the quarters. That is the English way.

It's Spain's to lose. They have the best midfield and the best strike force of any club or international team in the world. They've now shown they can play together and win. I'd fancy Argentina as the underdogs to make an impact, they are always amazing in the groups but go out to some kind of stupidness but with nobody rating them now it might go in their favour. When they've got to leave 2-3 of Di Maria, Aguero, Higuain, Messi, Milito or Tevez on the bench you know you can't rule them out. And even if they do thats some serious firepower to put on at 70 minutes if they're losing. Who's England going to bring on, Crouch and Wright Phillips?

I can see Spain pissing all over everyone. 42 wins out of their last 45 is outrageous.

Is that what it is?! F##king hell. They're like a brilliant league team that have a way of playing which means almost any spaniard can step in and the machine carries on steamrollering teams. It's a special thing.

Spain is looking like the best team now,but they are always looking good before world cup and they are often very disappointing on the tournament!we can say the opposite thing for Germany,often nobody is taking them seriously but they always find their way up

Spain are real contenders to win the world cup this year. Imo they are the team to beat. On the day though anyone can beat anyone. There has been some shocking results at world cups over the past few competitions.

I hope England will win obviously but I don't really see it happening. We will get through the group stage easy and then from there it is just luck of the draw to how far we get. If we get a big team like, Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Italy, France or Portugal then I think we will go out.

England are always better than those teams, but they always do better than England in every tournament ever. England always play like though so it doesn't matter. The only hope England has now is that we've never had a player like Rooney before, and if he can be in 100% form through the world cup he just might carry us there, but without it we are hopeless.

I don't really care anymore, I can't remember ever hating as many players in an England team as I do now. Maybe because we don't have any anymore, but Gerrard, Cole, Terry, Ferdinand etc. I just really hate them all. They're scum.

England have their best chance becuase neither Gerrard or Lampard warrant being selected for the starting team.

Both of these players being squashed into the squad has been the source of a great deal of trouble over the best many years.

Without their big egos and undeserved sense of self-entitlement to win, you cna field a squad of actual good team players who can win something.

Ferdinand doesn't even deserve to be on the plane.
