I wouldn't want to compare RvPs goals-per-game ratio to Torres' - it could get very embarrassing!

I'm not saying RvP's crap, but when you talk about prolific centre forwards he doesn't feature. That may well be because of his job description or his mental attitude to the game, but that's just how it is. RvP will never ever be as prolific as Torres or as efficient in front of goal. He will light up the pitch in other areas though.....

just to add,I wouldn't compare those two,as I know RvP didn't start his career like a central forward or target man and at the beginning he didn't played the role he has now in Arsenal,he was playing like a left winger,those two are not the same player type!RvP is an excellent player but I would like to see him always playing in partnership with another striker not alone

I see where you're coming from. Torres is more of a pure goal scorer while RvP can score but also create, maybe even more than score. And no matter what, both Torres and RvP are heavily involved in the goals their TEAM scores.

You have to be mental to think Essien is overrated. Have you forgotten the cracker he had against us? Let alone the fact that he played every position across the middle and backline in the same season. Cheleski is a different team with him, hands down.

Absolutely spot on sir - and welcome!

Essien is the beast of beasts and how anyone can say he's overrated is beyond lunacy IMO. Players like him and Torres should be exempt from 'rating'. They have nothing at all to prove.
