I wouldnt lose sleep if he left tbh.

I always think we can do better than Sagna who's super poor at attacking.

He's not poor at attacking he's poor at crossing. His overlaps and passing during build up are fine.

I don't see why we cross anyway, we never score from crosses with 1 midget striker in the box.

I can't name a single right back that is significantly better than Sagna. And he's certainly better than any replacement we'd be likely to buy (although it would probably just be Eboue).

totally agree that we don't need crossings when there is no players in the box who can use those crossings, that just isn't our style, but we can often see him crossing!I still think Sagna's good movement is more effective for defensive tasks,in attack he is not good in crossings and never moving in the middle or vertically on goal,or shooting on goal like Lauren did before!for me Eboue is better in that offensive area, and I would use those two depending on which tactics are we implementing in game

Exactly Craigie, so why does Sagna keep crossing, every single game, over and over? Because he's not got a very good attacking brain.

The same reason Clichy does, Wenger probably tells him to.

Pffft, what a laugh! At least Clichy can hit the target most of the time, on the occasions he does cross. But Clichy has the pace and ball control to beat his man or cut inside, which gives him far more options than Sagna.

Plus! Clichy can shoot, too.

You say, 'Sagna can overlap.' Show me a right-back in top-division football who can't do a decent overlapping run and I'll eat my hat.

another question, what else a right back player can do when he is playing offensively,or what do you expect from him when he is playing offensively?he can cross, which Sagna is doing, unfortunately badly,he can go in the middle which he is not doing,he can go storming vertically on goal which he also never does, and he can simply pass the ball to his team mates!that's why I think he is more useful in completing defensive tasks,he has physically superiority, decent speed, great movement, stamina etc...perfect player to stop opposition wingers, but that's personal view of course
