Why should we sell him for 60 mil when we're not gonna even spend it anyway? It's not like we need the money. We have a fortune sitting on and not spending it at the moment. Why should we want to sell our current top scorer when we know he's not gonna be replaced adequately or even replaced at all?

That's true but Cesc doesn't wanna play for us anymore and he's showing it slowly. i would love for him to stay but honestly he's unhappy here at Arsenal and would love to leave for Barca and Wenger would let him leave cuz that's what he has been doing these past 4 years.

Please show me where he said he doesn't want to play for us anymore. I can show you 4 different times when he said his commitment to the club is in no doubt.

I demand there be some peanlty for blatant stupidity and lying on this forum, specifically claims that Cesc doesn't want to play for Arsenal. Perhaps temporary banning should do it...

ArsenalZeBest, all you have to do is read a few recent pages of this thread, chock full of many quotes from Cesc saying he wants to stay at Arsenal for a long time, perhaps even permanently, to know how wrong you.

But no, instead, you continue to beat the dead horse as Cerbera has said in the past. It isfans like you who are going to force Cesc out of the club, because he will eventually feel that no matter how hard he tries, he can never prove himself to you. He will feel alienated and upset.

All players want to be loved by their fans, and its really does affect them to have people saying this sh*te. If you think that saying this stuff has no effect, you are very much mistaken, and if you think Fabregas is unaware of people saying this sort of tripe, then you are even more wrong.

If anything makes Cesc leave, it will be people bleeting the same thing as you that forces him out.

To all the people who think that a host of players would walk if Wenger was to leave

Cesc Fabregas reportedly decided after Sunday's defeat to Manchester United that he will return to Barcelona this summer.

Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo claim - under a story headlined 'Bye Bye Arsenal' - that Fabregas has told friends that six seasons at Arsenal is enough and he will push through a transfer this summer.

They suggest that he will personally ensure he leaves this summer rather than leave the matter in the hands of his agent Darren Dein.

The major stumbling block will be the fee, with Barcelona willing to pay £35m and Arsenal looking for closer to £44m.

Fabregas was devastated after the defeat to Manchester United, saying: "I'm not going to lie to myself. Chelsea were better than us, Manchester United have been better than us.

"It's something we have to think about and make sure it doesn't happen again.

"We have to be positive. It's very easy to say we lost to Manchester United and to get down. That would be crazy. We have to be strong.

"I felt very well but when you find yourself 2-0 or 3-0 down, it's difficult.

"Even Lionel Messi would struggle to do anything."

If Cesc does leave can anyone blame him?The guy has literally carried the team for the last few seasons and must be desperate to taste success. Cesc like Arshavin has commented numerous times this season about how we needed to strengthen the team. If Cesc does go fans will brand him a 'traitor' but why should one of the best players in the world stay at a club when the board display zero ambition and are simply happy with finishing in the top 4 every year.

If Fabregas doesn't want to leave, Wenger will not sell him any time soon. Why would he? The only players Wenger has sold at their peak, are those who are clamouring to leave like Hleb and Adebayor. Other than that, he has been great at letting players go at the right time. People like Vieira and Henry were great servants to the club who gave up their peak years, Wenger realised when they had peaked and let them go at the right time to get good money as well.

The argument that Wenger wants to sell our best players is rubbish. Some people argue that when we do sell our big players, more experienced replacements should be/ have been brought in, and that is fair enough. It is a completely different point though.

I'm beginning to wonder if this influx of new blood was a good idea.......

I mean, I'm all for debate, but this tidal wave of hyperbole and copy & pasting from other various retard sites is getting a bit much IMO.
