He looked shaky defensively , AKA when he lost possession in our half , he slipped that one time and almost costed us a goal Wednesday !! But the thing is with an organized defensive unit you'd compromise that for what he adds on the offense .. I'm not his biggest fan but the last two games he was really good

mistakes like slipping or giving the ball away are something that happens to all players,I don't think we should stick on that and judge by that, some guy can play excellent the whole game but have just one cardinal mistake or bad luck and what to say then?the general impression about player is the most important,in past few games general impression about Diaby was very good but before that impression was very bad,I hope he will continue to play good but I am still very skeptical about him,I think Song is king for him,Song has very little playing time before this season but he improved a lot and under great pressure, but Diaby is playing already several season and he didn't have that good development like Song had in short time

i agree about the slipping, it happens to all players, and it isn't a reflection of skill.

in terms of songs quick development, different players develop differently, we could be about to see diabys break out season, who knows?

maybe King Malta,I hope so,physically he is in perfect condition and in good shape, but mentally I don't think he is well prepared, sometimes he looks like he isn't concentrated on the game and not very smart ,and to be honest there is one important fact,he played off his position this season, but now is everything ok and we will see does he has consistency

He is looking very, very good, by any standard. However, this does not extend to his ability to play the holding role, which he has announced to the press he is capable of in Song's absence. He has a penchant for silly fouls in VERY dangerous positions, and freekicvks he has yielded have lead to goals on more than on occasion this season. On top of this, he is over zealous in getting forward and a liability to cover our pushing CB's. I am enjoying watching him play in his forward role, and think we should make the most of his good form by playing him in this natural position. I think we will seriously struggle if he become our DM int he short-term. I would even rather have Ramsey here than him.

It is hard to name a good replacement for Song as we are full of attacking and creative midfielders, but lack substance to defend in midfield.

Was poor today except in the last 5 minutes of the match. Somehow if there is noone to play 1-2s with, Diaby does not pass.

And the way he defends is by getting his body between ball and the opponent. The man can't tackle !

Abit worried for our midfield if Denilson is out long term.

I agree, I think we should be strengthining midfield. whilst we do have a lot of good players for this area, we almost never have everybody fit, so there is little danger of players not getting enough game time.

As I said earlier, this idea of needing to spend BIG is the delusion, but we could do with a little bit of bolstering.

I have always disliked Diaby, he keeps wasting so much time, and so many balls.
He is dribbling his own, not the opponents.

Him and Adecantscore were/are my less favorite players of 2000s.
