We have Nick .... He will due for at least the rest of the season pretty fine ... We can't get anyone anyway till the summer ... When the new season starts we'll have RVP back and Nick will have developed even more ... We might also have Chamack as well as all the attacking players like Arsha , Vela , Cesc and Nasri all avaiable ... Do we need any more ?

Haha, umm, Zickar, you did the quickest turn around in a thread I've ever seen. Same sentence in fact,

"We will have Chamkh, do we need anymore?" Well this thread is basically whether or not we should sign Chamakh....

You have to have 3 decent strikers in my opinion. van Persie, Chamakh and Bendtner will do. Two is not enough.

PS.

Has anybody seen Wenger's press release today? He seems to be insinuating that if the doesn't win something this season he will hand control to a new manager and leave.

I didn't get that vibe from him (about leaving anyway).

Wenger concedes Arsenal must spend
By Soccernet staff

April 7, 2010

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that his side needs strengthening after they were beaten 4-1 by a Lionel Messi-inspired Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

Wenger has been criticised for failing to invest heavily in the side during four trophyless seasons for the Gunners, but the French boss now concedes that something must change.

"We have to add something, for sure, but we have some time to think about that," he admitted. "We are at a stage where we're developing players.

"[Theo] Walcott is 22; [Nicklas] Bendtner is 22; [Samir] Nasri, [Abou] Diaby and Denilson are 22 or 23. They've shown some great qualities and they'll get stronger every year.

"We were very young and what we did was very positive. We had six or seven players under 23 in the team and we had plenty of opportunities. We showed we lacked maturity in the weight of the final ball."

Wenger, though, would not be drawn on immediate targets, preferring to look ahead to their Premier League clash with arch-rivals Tottenham next week.

"The priority now is to recover from the game," he said. "We have played quite well, with a lot of character as ever, but we made a few too many mistakes. The match forces you straight away to focus because you know it's going to be a derby.

"Yes, of course, you worry about the team's needing lifting. We have to recover quickly because we cannot drop any more points to have a chance to fight for the Premier League. That's why we have to recover and focus completely on the Premier League now."
