personally i dont think this squad is good enough i think if we need a good defensive midfielder and possibly a big striker because you saw last season in big games we were getting beat in the midfield but when flamini was there we weren't getting beat in the midfield and because a good experience defensive midfielder could help song, denislon in their development just like gilberto helped flamini when he first came to arsenal.i dont think it's necccesary to get another striker because i believe bendtner can step up this season and have a great season.

tell me what you think?

Arsenal Have No Chance Of Winning The Premier League Title - George Graham

Their former boss rules out the possibility of The Gunners winning the League title this season...

20 Jul 2009 10:20:17

Talking to The Daily Mail, the former Gunners chief said he thinks that selling Emmanuel Adebayor and the lack of new signings means his old club will struggle to score enough goals to put up a legitimate challenge.

Graham said: "It's interesting that Arsene Wenger said Adebayor is a great player so why is he selling him?

"If he's disruptive in the dressing-room, doesn't get on with the other players and is adamant he wants to leave then Arsene has a problem.

"But problems like that are part and parcel of being a manager. You have to get into the player's head. Sir Alex Ferguson is a master of this.

"Adebayor is a top goalscorer but in games I've seen his attitude has been poor so if Arsenal are going to sell him they must ask if they can get someone in to replace him.

"Look at Arsenal's forward line. You have players of the quality of Van Persie, Walcott and Eduardo but they have had injury problems year after year.

"They also have Bendtner and it doesn't look to me as if they are going to be challenging for the title next season."

Also, Graham does not see Manchester City upsetting Chelsea, Manchester United or Liverpool in the pursuit of the Premier League.

He added, "'City have lots of money and you think they could be the team to challenge the Big Four but I still believe it will take some time.

"They have all these forwards but they need a back-bone and need to start buying defenders.

"I think John Terry has another six years even though some people say at 28 his legs are beginning to go. Tony Adams was picking up trophies for Arsenal well into his thirties.

"I think he's looking for a much improved contract at Chelsea. If he's on £130,000 a week now he's probably looking for £180,000 or £200,000.

"Chelsea know he's the heart and soul of the club, has some good years ahead of him and they'll probably sign him up."

I'm not sure bout the league but tbh why the f##k not? Ok we always knock our team but why not get behind them cos i reckon we got as much chance as any to win something. We've kept together the core of the team & got rid of one of the bad elements so thats gotta be good right?? I mean we all thought that Fab rvp might go so maybe, just mabe eh??

At the moment - no.

But the transfer market isn't over yet, only time will tell. I'll come back to this topic at the end of August and give my analysis again.

the most important is stability in the back, crucial is to buy defensive midfielder who will look and act more like animal than human in the game and support Cesc, that could make the difference on the pitch for us and we need more discipline in defensive line, also we need more luck with injuries!

I'm not going to answer the question asked, just assess the squad.

Keepers- Almunia, Fabianski, Mannone, the polish one

left backs- Clichy, Silvestre, Gibbs, Traore
right backs- Sagna, Eboue, G Hoyte

centerbacks- Gallas, Toure, Vermaelen, Senderos, Djourou

center midfielders: cesc, Ramsey, Diaby, Song, Denilson

wingers/attacking midfielders: Arshavin, Wilshere, Rosicky, Nasri, Walcott

strikers: RvP, Eduardo, Vela, Bendtner

So I think with keepers we are set. Almunia proved himself, for me at least, last year. massive improvement from when he first arrived. while I'm not 100% comfortable with Lukasz, I know that he is young and will only improve, it seems that his only problems are his nerves. there is no doubt that he is an amazing shot stopper and overall goalkeeper, but he just needs a few more years of experience before he has a chance at #1 spot.

left back we have always been good, always will be, no worries there.

right back, just as long as sagna stays fit we'll be okay, eboue can be great, but he is very prone to mistake no matter what, and he can also be complete crap. hopefully he'll find consistency this season. gavin hoyte in emergency, and for him to gain experience.

center backs: I think that toure will be sold, all of the other four center backs are much more class than him. he's the odd man out, with him we have three short sweepers for the balls on the ground, and two tall stoppers for the balls in the air and to put themselves about. I think wenger plans on making a gallas-senderos and djourou-vermaelen partnerships, and he can decide based on the opponent and fitness of the defenders who will start.

center midfielders: we definitely need one more, Cesc is the only one who would have a place in my team. Ramsey is definitely good enough, but Wenger surely won't start him all the time for fear of him getting a bad injury or severe fatigue and inconsistency. he's only 18. so that is someone to add to our shopping list

attacking midfielders and wingers we have in abundance obviously, and Arshavin, now that CR is gone, possible the best player in the premiership.

I'm not completely convinced that Adebayor will be replaced, I think Walcott will be moved to striker with the return of Rosicky and advent of Arshavin. and I'm comfortable with that, Walcott's pace and cool finishing could be just what we need.

so get a F##king DM, wenger. I'll be happy for one

I don't think we will win the league but it is not impossible. We are still a great side and "on our day" can beat anyone.....we just need it to be our day more often. We could win a Cup.

I think Man Utd will not be as strong and with a new manager at Cheski who knows...so there is still room for us in the top 4.
