Adebayor leaving and we are going to be replacing him with Hunterlaar ....Surly this is 2 good 2 be true

BARCELONA are planning a second bid to prise £20m-rated Emmanuel Adebayor from Arsenal – and it may pay off.

For the Gunners could replace the Togan hitman with Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

Arsene Wenger blocked the move when Barca tried to sign Adebayor last summer.

But after an indifferent season from Adebayor, the Arsenal manager could be ready to cut his losses and move for Real Madrid’s disgruntled striker Huntelaar.

Barca coach Pep Guardiola has been a long-time admirer of Adebayor and, with Samuel Eto’o and former Arsenal legend Thierry Henry possibly moving on this summer, he will need a new striker.

Starsport has already revealed that Cesc Fabregas is expected to be a summer target for Barca, so it could be a double move by the Spanish giants.

Robin van Persie has also come on to their radar but Adebayor is first choice.

And if Arsenal fail to land Champions League football this season, keeping hold of their star players could be a huge problem, especially when a club like Barcelona comes calling.

Barca’s sport director Txiki Beguiristain said last night: “It is normal that we start planning now for next summer and start drawing up a list of our targets.’’

Eto’o’s contract at the Nou Camp ends next year so this is the last summer the club can cash in on him and he is expected to move to Inter Milan.

Wenger strongly resisted Adebayor’s attempts to leave this summer but there is speculation that he has become disillusioned with the African.

Huntelaar only joined Madrid last month from Ajax for £17m.

But they had already signed Lassana Diarra and with both playing in the UEFA Cup for their former clubs, only the French midfielder was added to the Spanish side’s Champions League squad.

He has scored only one league goal since arriving at the Bernabeu and now Madrid could be prepared to cut their losses on the 25-year-old with Arsenal able to sign him for £12m.

Wenger is believed to want to keep hold of Van Persie rather than Adebayor and Huntelaar could play as the central striker with his fellow Dutchman or Andrei Arshavin playing off him.

Wenger knows he needs to shake up his attack in the summer so this could be the perfect move.

The Gunners boss has tracked Huntelaar in the past but could not match Madrid’s cash move last month.

please sell, at least before he was making 110 pounds week he was a hardworker. He was world class last season, but he could have scored so many more. IF Eduardo gets the minutes that Adebayor got last season, he can double what Adebayor got next season.

please sell him to the highest bidder! please, him and Eboue and Song!

Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has claimed that AC Milan and Barcelona were both eager to land his services.

The Togo international was strongly linked with a move away from Emirates Stadium last summer, with the aforementioned European duo mooted as potential suitors.

However, Adebayor ended speculation surrounding his future as he put pen-to-paper on a new long-term contract in August.

The 25-year-old has stated that while he had the option to join either Barca or Milan, he is certain he made the right decision to remain with the Gunners.

"I knew that Milan and Barcelona were interested in me, but in the end I chose Arsenal," Adebayor told Sportweek.

"Arsenal are a club that I want to repay with important victories for having allowed me to become one of the great players in world football.

"I find myself well here, even if, as I say in life, you can never know what will happen in the future."
