How Many Points Will We Get & Will It Be Enough??

by Deano » Tue Feb 09, 2010 8:35 pm

We are currently on 49 points...

The City game may be earlier than stated too, but here goes...

Liverpool H 3pts
Suderland H 3pts
Stoke A 1pts
Burnley H 3pts
Hull A 3pts
West Ham H 3pts
Birmingham A 3pts
Wolves H 3pts
Spuds A 1pts
Wigan H 3pts
Man City H 1pts
Blackburn A 3pts
Fulham H 3pts

Total......82 points

We'd do very well to get 82 points but I don't really think that's a title winning total, to be honest, unless Chelsea and Man Utd have serious problems.

We will win the league really.................................................but only if chelsea and manutd airplanes crash which is unlikely.

Liverpool H 3pts ( IT HAS TO BE A WIN or i will stop watching arsenal until wenger is out, i will try to convince myself to not keep my word we we draw. I am not accepting another lose)
Suderland H 3pts ( Win)
Stoke A 1pts ( a win)
Burnley H 3pts ( a win)
Hull A 3pts ( draw)
West Ham H 3pts (Win)
Birmingham A 3pts ( draw)
Wolves H 3pts ( win)
Spuds A 1pts ( draw or lose)
Wigan H 3pts ( win)
Man City H 1pts ( F##king win)
Blackburn A 3pts ( win)
Fulham H 3pts ( win)

so in my view, 3 x 9 + 1 x 3 = 30, this the highest we will be able to achieve from those matches.

79 in total. ( with all of my optimism)

85 for me and I am well-known here as VERY optimistic and positive when I am giving the predictions!to finish a season from this point without a loss is hard to expect or 12 wins from 13 games...it's fantasy I know!now really to bring in some sense in all this,I expect from us to win all home games and certainly that one against Man.city!away games?tricky one is Birmingham game,Stoke or Hull maybe cause we had problems with them in the past, and Spurs for sure who wants our blood

Those are all games that Chelsea could drop points in and you wouldn't be particuarly surprised. 7 wins, 5 draws, 2 losses in their last 13 games would put Chelsea on 81 points.

We are definitely outsiders but if we can put together a good run of form, we have a chance.

Jesus Christ.

All this thread has done is bring home exactly where we'd be with just five more points on the board.

We'd probably be favourites IMO.

Who would have thought Fulham would Thrash United back when they did .. Or Hull would draw City last week ... The league isn't quite closed this season although I think things will even out as the season progresses but I think that the top three or even four will be closer to each other than thought ...

hehe,I feel kind a stupid saying this,we must win 12 games from 13 if we want to expect something more,is that possible,I don't know,is it real, probably no,but many of those games shouldn't be tricky for us,and we must wait Chelsea and Man.utd to make mistakes!reality is to expect us win all home games and I think we can do that
for now, reality for us is 3rd place, maybe 2nd if one of those two teams fall in some kind of a crisis, maybe 2-3 games can change all,we shall see

Realistically, to win 12 of 13 is beyond us. We have to take into account bad luck too, which can strike, and does with us, quite often. To beat bad luck you'd have to be far superiour in every game, which is again, unrealistic.

Man Utd and Chelsea will need to draw alot of games, because I can't see them losing many, especially at from point onwards.
