I'll add to that.... There's NO WAY we're getting any strikers. NO WAY. Bendtner's coming back soon and we already have Eduardo, Walcott, Arshavin and Vela. This, I imagine , will definitely do for Wenger, what with Cesc, Nasri and Rosicky expected to help out too. A DMF is odds on to happen IMO.

we need a striker as well deano.

RVPs out for the rest of the season. Eduardo has not been playing well, same goes for vella, walcotts so injury prone its hillarious and id prefer him on the wing ANYWAY and so all we're really looking at is Nic because arshavins best position is NOT CF.

WE NEED ANOTHER STRIKER.

bring on saha

You missed Bendtner, and more importantly, what will Arsenal do with Saha after this season? There definitely isn't any room for him. Even if Eduardo leaves, Arsene would prefer Vela, Bendtner, and RVP over him, and I wouldn't put it past Wenger to place Walcott higher on the depth chart too.

Saha isn't coming. He doesn't fit the philosophy of building with youth and promoting from within, which Wenger will do unless the player is an instant impact player who will start for more than the second part of a season. Saha does not fit that mold.

He was bought as a backup, and Silvestre was a backup. Saha isn't. He has the quality to start for most clubs, and will want and expect to start. I'm still very apprehensive because of the entire Lass dilemma. Arsenal need to avoid creating rifts in the club room as much as possible.

A typical wenger signing

NOT!

What the hell are we going to do with this grandad when RVP and Super Nic are fit again?

I dont get Wenger. Signs Silvestre an over 30 who is not good enuff for Man Utd and now linked with Saha.

And at £5m? God i hope this is bollocks.

This is pure Wenger logic^^

Saha WOULD score goals for us - no doubt - but Wenger has to prioritize. Stop gaps HAVE NEVER been his style and that's all Saha would be. Unless he's seriously thinking about off-loading either Vela, Bendtner or Eduardo which is highly unlikely, Saha is not going to happen. For me, the only logical move/s would be to buy a quality CB as cover and loan a DMF with a view to buy. Both of those positions are by far the priority over a striker. We're scoring goals ffs!

I don't think we will buy Saha even if he is perfect signing for Wenger policy, but I want to say something else,I read some previous posts here and why do I get a feeling that every player who is with us must stay and die with us,Bendtner can go next season,Edurado also can go next season so don't ask yourself a question what will we do with them if we bring another striker,if he is going to be better than those two then we will see what will we do with them, they will stay if they earn to stay!what are we supposed to do now when we are somehow close to the top,to gamble with Eduardo and to hope every game will he score some lucky goal or not or to gamble with his so called 'clinical finishing' which we never saw!we shall see about his status in summer,he is playing regularly, and his injury is way behind him,the question is,you can fit or you can't fit in Arsenal team
just one example, last year in Bayern Munich two attackers were Toni and Klose,Toni scored about 50 goals and he worked and cooperated well with Klose but his form started to go down, and don't forget Toni is italian international and world champion!in the beginning of this season Bayern has bought Gomes and Olic, and sent Toni to train and to play with reserves,so what, everyone are replaceable and nobody's place is guaranteed!
