KM,

Your spot on mate, its very sad, but unfortunately its the way the game has gone.
I think they call it progress but Im not so sure!
Back in the day winning the league title was the be all & end all & the FA Cup was a 'to die for' competition that EVERY team wanted to win.
The European Cup was an exclusive champions only competition & the other 2 Euro comps were also highly regarded.
ALL weekend games were on Saturday at 3pm & Arsenal always played their midweek games on a Tues nite while Spurs played theirs on Weds nite.
Sometimes I really do wish we could go back to those days. Each individual match meant just as much to the us but it was a game back then, not a tick on a balance sheet!
Very sad indeed!
