Sorry, Sagna replaced Eboue.

Yeah but Sagna was signed when Wenger decided to move Eboue to midfield. Wenger didn't see Eboue as a bad player, he just had a new role for him.

Can you really fathom how Wenger's mind works? We don't really have a proper back up for RB, as Eboue is now officially a midfielder I believe? If he reckons this bloke can produce the goods and he can get him for a good price, he will sign him.

Remember, he bought Diarra when we already had about 6 midfielders.

Yes Wenger's mind works in patterns and you mentioning Diarra proves my point. He brought him is as a future prospect to replace Gilberto and Flamini someday. Not because he thought we had inefficient defensive midfielders.

Eboue still functions as a RB. Most of his Champions League appearances this season have been at right back.

I dont think he gonna leave Ajax this year, but he already said in media, He felt excited of the intrests of the club Arsenal, Im sure if he goes to Arsenal it would be your best right-back Hes amazing, but hes defending skills should be growing abit more, but hes the best attacking defender in the world, Maybe I think Zanetti is better ( hes old I know but hes still amazing ), But Gregory v/d Wiel will be better in my eyes in 2 more years. Hes also going the the Worldcup in South Africa with the Netherlands team, So hopefully you watch a few matches there, and tell me what you think about him ;).

TBH, If we're going to stick with 4-3-3, I think we do need a better RB. One that can defend and attack.

Eboue suits that fine...i honestly dont see where the problem is there....

People seem to forget how good an RB Eboue is. Sure he's not a great RM, but he is a fantastic RB..

No need to waste money on an RB
