Eboue is the same RB he was in our CL final year - a fantastic one. I don't think he's improved that much, if at all, really. His experiences might of made him more durable and confident, though. What didn't kill him has no doubt made him stronger.

Wenger thought he could do an 'Henry' and turn him into some flying winger worth £30 million, when he already had a RB worth nearly that. Wengers poorest decision in his entire reign IMO.

Could you ever have imagined Wenger telling Henry at his peak, that he wanted to put him back on the wing so he could make way for another striker?

Wenger on Eboue vs Sunderland:

On Emmanuel Eboue's performance...
"Eboue is a good example that you can always change the opinion of people if you keep focussed, have talent and produce on the pitch. The people who booed him one year ago today love him. That is down to his attitude and it is the credit he deserves.

On Eboue's ability to play right back or right midfielder...

"If you ask him, he prefers to play at right back. But I like him as well in midfield because when you look at the number of games we have won with him at right midfield, you will see that his numbers are good. He is a good football player and where you see him stand in the opposition box against two players, you know he will pass. Why should be not be capable of playing right midfielder?"

I have always said that Eboue is a great attacking fullback and maybe one of the best around. So much pace and energy going forward and gives us so much going forward. When we reached the CL final he was one of the reasons why. People forget what a great player he is because he has been used as a winger which he is not.

Sagna cant do the things Eboue can going forward. For me i would pick Eboue all day ahead of Sagna

Eboue is like playing with an extra man ... Its like having playing with a 4-4-3 .. Yeah yeah you read it right he is does the right back and the right midfielder job very well and I think he is one of the best wide players we have because he penetrates from the middle rather than going to the goal line ... He is very comfortable going forward and is hardly ever caught out of position ... For some reason Wenger is venturing in this Direction .. And a right direction it is TBH

Almost Useless ? HE IS USELESS ... Eboue doesn't just Cross the ball , He Dribbles , He Penetrates and he Shoots ... He is just as good as Nasri , Arsha , Cesc or any of our attacking defenders .. I bet you can't say the same about Sagna with a straight face

Eboue played really well against sunderland, and imo its good that there is some competition for the spot.
