Arsenal strike first in the fight for Spanish whizzkid Sergio Canales

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... nales.html

Not really a whizzkid but he is quite impresive .. I have seen him play a couple of times and I really like him , I doubt it will happen specially since Real are also interested which means that they can out pay any club in the world but his father said that he wants his son to play on a regular basis .. Look at the possible candidates he has for him : Man City with the likes of Ade , Tevez , Robinho , Sant Cruz and Bellamy and maybe even more ... Real where players like Karim Benzema can't even find a place for him . Arsenal looks like a good choice and at his young age and at the injury rate we have he might actually get the first team football he is looking for . He is only 18 and maybe his price won't be as inflated as a player we sign from the Premier league

If I was a young player I'd always be more tempted by Arsenal than another club. Wenger's integration of youth, and his skill at developing players, would be worth more in the long run than any bigger wage at another club.

I just read though that he cooled down rumours of him leaving Santander and specially to the EPL

This boy is the business. I hope we get him. I have a feeling we will. Same sort of thing happened when we signed Walcott.

Never seen him play but heard good things about him. Wenger has said he isn't interested on the official website. He might just be keeping his cards close to his chest but I can't see it happening.

18 is a good age; young enough to have plenty of scope for improvement and old enough to make an impact if they're any good. If he's got any sense he'll go to Real.

I don't think we will .. Spanish players usually tend to prefer Spanish Clubs . How many successful Spaniards can you name in the premier league .. You have Cesc but who else ?

Alonso, Arteta, Torres, Reina, and a few more spread amongst lower clubs.

He wants to stay at his current club, but if he wants to play, he knows where to go.

Had to wiki a couple to remember the first names.
