Jack Wilshere is only 17 but he has the world talking after his impressive performances this summer in Arsenal’s build up to the start of the season.

For me Wilshere is the best young player i have seen at Arsenal for 20 years and he NEEDS to start this season ahead of players like Diaby.

Wilshere can changed the game with a moment of skill and vision and the future of Arsenal and England is in fine shape with his talented left foot.

Wilshere is not blessed with loads of pace like Walcott but he is able to ghost past players with skill and body movement. And for a 17 year old he is as strong as a lion.

And as we all saw this weekend Wilshere has an eye for goal. But what really impresses me about Wilshere is he knows when to give the ball easy and never trys to much. Unlike Diaby who seems to get caught on the ball time and time again. I cant really blame Diaby, He is not a winger and needs to play in the middle.

I know Wenger has tried to protect young Wilshere and rightly so, But we cant hold this kid back anymore. He needs to play and now.

Add Henri Lansbury,Fran Merida & Nacer Barazite to that, We seem to now have a host of talent waiting to push for a first team place this season.

Yes!
Wilshire is a gem.

Diaby is never going to be great, let's face it. He scares me the way he gives the ball away and runs into trouble. Hopefully he will improve, but Wilshire is looking special and needs to be given his chance, maybe as a super-sub.

In short...

...it depends on the opposition and formation.

I'd rather start a plate of wet noodles over Diaby

of course he should start ahead of Diaby!ok that isn't his natural position but we have seen Diaby before on that position!my humble and personal opinion is that Diaby and Denilson shouldn't be in team at all,but that is just my personal observation on those two guys

Heres what i find funny...

Arsenal fans, in general, are probably the most fickle iv ever seen.

Here are the same fans, that plead, accuse and hate wenger for thinning out our squad and leaving us with no leaders and no experience in the team.

Jack wilshere (who i think is amazing) comes along, eats athletico madrid and rangers alive in pre-season, and suddenly, these SAME fans want him in the team instead of someone more experienced?

It makes no sense at all. We need to stop jumping the gun. I want to see wilshere in the carling cup next season, whilst making some sub appearances in the other tournaments.

Wilshere is going to be a world beater one day. But its not the right choice to put him ahead of any first teamer yet.

And if you disagree with me, i wonder if your one of the people that moan and groan when wenger buys and signs 15/16 year olds?

Not just football experience either, more time with the players in general, someone already blended in? f##k me.

I for one agree with you entirely, I'm excited about the lad too but I think regular appearance on the bench is all I can ask for.

I only gave advantage to one young player ahead of another young player, that is all!Wilshere showed to us more in just two games than Diaby showed in few years

He's showed us something DIFFERENT. When Wilshere is a 6ft 2 steroid abuser who enjoys breaking bones then come back to me...
