I will judge you as the man who will ultimately lead us to an unspectacular 4th place and another trophyless campaign, losing five league games by November and then (in true AW fashion) improving when the stakes were reduced. I remember the "it must never happen again" bollocks when we finished 4th on the final day in 2005/06....thank your lucky stars for the spectacular Villa collapse or it would have happened again within 3 years.

2. I will judge you as the man who let 3 international class central midfielders leave within a six month space (Diarra, Gilberto and Flamini) and replaced them at the same cost with Ramsey, Bischoff and Coquelin, whilst promoting Denilson and Song

3. I will judge you as the man who has been saved by the skin of his teeth by the flattery of two overhyped cup runs. Coming 2nd in a mediocre group to Porto, beating Italy's 7th best club on penalties before the only half decent knock-out display against a team who may not qualify next season. In the FA Cup we beat the might of Cardiff (after a replay), Plymouth, Burnley and Hull.

4. I will judge you as the man who led the team to 3 of the most insipid, uninspiring cup semi final performances I have ever witnessed. Just when is the "magnificent performance" planned for now ?

5. I will judge you as the man who forever bangs on about "great desire", "mental strength" and refers to each player as "a winner". Can I remind you that your record over the past 2 years against the other top 4 clubs at the business end of the season (i.e. when it actually f**king matters from January onwards) reads PLAYED 10 WON 0 DREW 3 LOST 7

6. I will judge you as the man who despite 60,000 fans regularly telling you to buy a centre half, chose not to and then decided to send one of an already poor choice of four at the club, out on loan for the season leaving Gallas, Djourou and Toure to cope all year

7. I will judge you as the man who could have bought Arshavin in the Summer but instead chose to wait until we were a distant 5th before exposing the club to the most drawn out deadline day saga in history. And quite what advantage did that gain as opposed to having signed him last August or July ?

8. I will judge you as the man who was the big believer in the stadium move as it was "needed to cope with Europe's elite". Yes, we saw how well we competed with them on Tuesday. Since our move we have not finished in the top 2 and have won f**k all. At my beloved Highbury in the last 3 seasons, we reached the Champions League final, won the FA Cup and the Premiership (unbeaten). Glad we moved in order to compete. Still we have to be patient don't we....does the club want me to be as patient with the ticket prices. Shall we pay top prices in 2017 when we are competing with Europe's elite ?

9. I will judge you as the man who at 0-2 down the other night sat with his head down throughout the rest of the match and whose inspired half time magic was to add Eboue for Gibbs. We might all hate Mourinho but at least he had the balls to make first half substitutions (sometimes all three).

10. The final judgement will be if you fail to add to this overpaid bunch in the Summer with some genuine quality of the Arshavin level. Oh sorry, we don't want to "kill" the likes of Diaby, Denilson and Song do we

I think that's my judgement finished for now......

Could not have put it better, Well said that man

Why is it that when somebody blogs about the mistakes made by Wenger and suggests his time has come they get a barrage of abuse from other fans?

The main weapons used are that
  • you are not a real fan, but a trophy hunting fair weather fan
  • Wenger has done great things for us, how dare you criticise him?
  • we may be crap but at least we are well run financially
  • how can you, a mere fan, possibly have the right to criticise somebody who has actually managed a team and won trophies?
  • everyone says Wenger is a great manager and many top teams want him, so it must be true that he is great
  • given the finacials, the squad, the circumstances - who else could do any better?

I have come to the conclusion that it is because most people....maybe 9 out of every 10....are basically quite weak and prefer to flock together like sheep. The odd independant thinker comes along every now and then but they feel safer sticking together in their cosy flock. Sh1t is warm, after all. Being a football fan is a tribal thing, and the tribe wants to stick together, united and strong.

The good thing about people who look at the evidence and make their own well thought out judgement is that, because they are independant thinkers, they don't really care what the sheep are saying. The glory hunting headline seekers, who just want to be controversial and get some attention, are quickly spotted because their arguments are knee-jerk and ill thought out.

When the media decide it's time for the manager to go they wheel out all the pundits to say "that manger will have to take a good hard look at himself" and "the fans may not be prepared to put up with this for too much longer" and "the board have given him the vote of confidence". Once this happens the sheep feel that the tide is turning and they quickly change direction, and suddenly the manager is gone. Wenger is well liked by the media. He is a very intelligent, likeable man - how can you not like they guy?

The way I see it, and I frankly don't give a sh1t who says "baaah" to me, is that things have deteriorated from an incredible high point under Wenger to something which, while not disasterous, is disappointing given the resources available to Arsenal FC. Things that were clearly wrong a year or two ago are still wrong. Mistakes have not yet been learned from.

Nevertheless, unless we continue our decline and find ourselves out of the Champions League, mid table and no decent cup run I would not want to swap Wenger for an untried or unproven manager. Sure, maybe if Hiddink or Coppello come knocking at the door then let them in, but Wenger, for all his faults is far far from the worst manager in the world. We are in the Champions league, 4th best team in England and got to the semi-final of the FA Cup, and have some promissing young players. That is not a disaster, and it is not bad enough to just sack Wenger, twat that he often is, unless we can bring in a proven top manager.

Surprise surprise Wenger gets the tactics wrong YET again as we are humiliated again.

1st off, Why did we play 4-5-1 again when its doesn't work for us? And IF you are going to play 4-5-1 Mr Wenger may i suggest a big powerful striker to lead the line vs Terry and Alex rather then RVP?

in recent games we have let in 4 goals vs Liverpool, 3 vs ManUtd and now 4 again vs Chelsea. ALL playing 4-5-1 and ALL with Song ( Our defensive ROCK!! ) Playing.

But Wenger knows best! Who are we to question the great Wenger? The man who can turn blood into red win. The main who can walk on water.

Every time we say something about the great Wenger we are called plastics and told to go and support Man Utd, So i hope the "in wenger we trust brigade" sleep well tonight known you are as much to blame for our worst run of winning a mayor trophy for 20 years and this stubborn manager of ours.

In wenger we trust!!!...you bunch of clueless muppet's. I think Arsenal have the thickest fans in the world as they cant see whats really going on and are still dreaming that wenger will lead us into glory with this magnificent bunch of kids with the amazing spirit and mental strength. And of course wenger you don't need to spend in the summer. This bunch of players are just fine...And of course next season we will have Rosicky back who will be like a new signing.

You are a joke wenger, And the fans who support you are are joke.

I trust the wenger clan will not attack me ( YAWN ) But you know what they say, The truth hurts.

WENGER OUT ...and he cant take the thick Arsenal fans with him...

Agreed. He said judge me in May, it's now May and once again we've gone backwards. Our defense is shit, his policy of relying on youth is just taking the piss outta him, the players he thought we're gonna be world class have failed to deliver and basically he's now lost the mentality to win things. He should be shown the door because it's only a matter of time before we do eventually drop out of the top 4, this year we were saved by a little genious Russian called Arshavin. We have no chance at winning anything soon as we're now MILES apart in terms of squad depth and talent compared to the other 3 and we're starting to become a joke of a club. Our players have no heart except for Nasri, Nic and Gibbs. Diaby is fucking useless, Fabianski needs to go back to Poland, RVP is shit, Ade is....... ade, Denilson is like a little girl, Toure can fuck off to Man city since he already wants to go there and Cesc hasn't been the same since Flamini left, and we can all thank Mr. Wenger because of this, a lot of people slagged off Sinbad for saying he's talking nonsense, and he was right all season!

This is the man that sells our best players every summer, this is the man who doesn't have a clue when it comes to formations, this is the man who insists Diaby, Denilson, Song and Silvestre are world class, this is the man who sold all our DM's and experience last summer and think's we'll still challenge for the title.

But, Arsene knows right?

He knows fuck all.
