   I demand we Get Rafa in now. He has a proven track record of spending millions and millions. And he’s probably available. We don’t need the stability that AW brings whilst paying for a new stadium. We don’t need CL football. We just need to spend spend spend and all will be rosey.

    Oh Ye of little faith, we have again qualified for CL.! we came third only due to INJURIES to KEY PLAYERS. Take Rooney out of Man U for the best part of the season, then take out Nani for a few weeks followed by covering defenders do you think they would have finished 2nd. No I did not think so. Take out Drogba for Chelski for the most part of the season and remove Lampard for a few weeks, put in place a few covering defenders. do you think chelski would have won the PL. No I did not think so. have faith in AW he is the manager trust in him. he was not responsible for the MASSIVE Injuries we suffered this season. My message to the PL teams, be prepared for SHOCK & AWE.

    I dont think we need to spend big but there are a few key positions where we need to stegnthen and one of them without dobt is in goal. Almunia is not good enough period, as long as he does that and gets decent defensive cover we should be ok, but I think he knows this judging by his comments about shipping goals.

    It’s so boring now.

    We decided to build a new stadium – that meant we didn’t have the funds to compete in the market. It’s really simple to understand.
    It’s not case of us having loads of money but Arsene choosing to try to do it without. To keep is up there whilst building and paying for the stadium is nothing short of remarkable.

    Money is now slowly becoming available through the sale of the flats at Highbury. If we can find a player or two that are good enough, in our price range and available then we’ll do it.

    Fed up of whinging fans who are too thick to understand what Arsene and he club have been trying to achieve.

    We have stable foundations and that’s the only way o build. We do not have artificial money and the board and the manager are not prepared to bankrupt the club and that’s something i fot one am thankfiul for.

    5 years without a trophy is not a long time. The way some fans are you’d think it’s 5 years of relegation fights and mi-table finishes. Check the history books – it’s all there to be seen. 5 years is nothing.

    Proud to be a gooner, last season, his season and next season, trophy or no trophy. Arsenal is not about the glory – it’s in the blood.

    At last someone who talks sense. The people on here are the same people that booed eboue and jeered Fabianski during a game that we needed to win. Clever boys! Just shows the sheer lack of intelligence of some people. I don’t people realise the enormity of the achievement of building a stadium successfullyin LONDON. Just look at the problems at Wembley. To keep the team in the top four let alone challenging for the title this year is remarkable. Remember we sold one of our main strikers and defenders in the summer and with a bit more luck on the injury front the same people on here would be proclaiming Wenger as a genius.
    Us as supporters ahould should do just that support the team. Wenger will strengthen the squad. His last two major signings have had significant impacts on the team. If Chammakh and any other additions do a similiar thing then we will have a better chance than this year. Remember we were affraid that we wouldnt finish in the top four this time last year.

    The fact is that Wenger’s most recent signings are Nasri – £12m, Arshavin – £15m and Vermaelen – £10m, and yet we still get idiots claiming Wenger never spends money.

    The amusing thing is if Chamakh had cost £25m, the same idiots would be saying it’s a brilliant statement of intent and a wonderful bit of business.

    Gazidis has money alright, but £30-40 mil aint gonna get the players you want and thats if we spend ALL of that ESTIMATED funds which we don’t know will go to transfers.

    Despite having less money than his peers how can you not admire wenger’s bargains to get players worth far more than he paid just to desperatly keep up with billionaires.
    He’s trying very hard in that respect and it was easier for him a decade ago.

    i wouldnt call this guy a plastic fan but he has a point, those who are concerned about the club should start at looking where the club is heading… if you look at chelsea yes there winning titles but there team is now aging… arsenal will get a right balance about them soon enough i dont think injuries should be an excuse as it seems to be the same players injured and wenger should see it forthcoming but his genuis will pay off and he does wat most could never do.

    Paying off £80 million of debt now instead of naturally over the term of the loan, however many years it is, saves millions and millions in interest payments.

    Being frugal now for the future whilst keeping us in the Champion’s League. A job well done I say.

    Liverpool FC. £340 million in debt paying 40 million A YEAR in interest payments before they can even think about signing a player. Out of the Champion’s League. At risk of losing their best players because of that. And all you can do is moan that we haven’t spent enough money.
