   i disagree a bit,
   firstly song deserve 7+ easily, quite a few times he won the ball and the starts the attack especially in first half
   secondly, diaby was awfull, he was slowing our game, he was unable to spot any runs. He dribbles when to make a decisive pass, and he passes when its time to shoot.

   What game did you watch ?

   Diaby 8.5 ? he broke forward well, but then passed backwards all the time, got in to a good position then fluffed it …. what is it with him and not shooting ? why pass backwards ?

   Granted Chamakh was not in the box a lot of the time, but at least when Jack forged forward there was usually an outcome at the end of it …. Diaby 8.5 – not for me – 6 I’m affraid

   Song was better than a 6.5 he did much better in this game than the previous 2 for me, he won most tackles and fought well he was a 7.5 today.

   Djourou looked shaky as did Clichy, I think if they had attacked down their right hand side more they would have got more out of the game – Flappy did well today though, but no more than he should be expected to do, I think if our keeper has a decent game it’s a huge shock … lets hope he can take that forward for us and play more like that week in week out.

   I do think we would have gotten turned over by a slightly better / younger side today ….. but having said that, I will take the positives out of it and am smiling as we have the win. Shame we will be without Jack for 3 games, I think he was waiting for that to get the guy back after the smack in the chops ….

   i think jack should of got MOTM eventhough he got the red, he had a superb game, saying that so did fabianski, but for me jack takes it (and yes the tackle was a disgrace but cant fault him the rest of the game). song wasnt great IMO, he gave the ball away too many times and wasnt a good performance, diaby tho had a good game i feel, great power and skill to run trough the birmingham midfield but he (and the rest of arsenal) passed when they should shoot. we wont score if we dont shoot!!!! please tell me how arshavin still starts ahead of rosicky? his form is really off, time for rosicky to start. i was dissapointed with our performance eventho we won, there was just no tempo to our play and felt like we played the game in 2nd gear. hopefully our game picks up on tue ahead of our match with city on the weekend

   I agree with mm: Song was everywhere and consistently won the ball from the opposition; and Diaby rates a 10 as far as technique goes, but about a 5 for his decision making– he still holds the ball too long before passing and often ignores or doesn’t notice open teammates when in attack.

   Diaby was fantastic today… Typical arsenal tho caught on the break after controlling the game and not finishing them off, but we won that’s all that matters.. This team are so close yet so far, maybe it will all fall into place but the worry is they have the talent but not the drive & hunger, a good run could click them into it.. Big game next at shitty, if we win that we are in it if not We are out of it

   For me diaby is the problem for all his technique and pontential, he cant spot a pass for his life, slows down play, is terrible defensively (never presses and never closes out giviing way to much room to the opposing player). Beside that I thougt we played alright (excluding Clichy and Diaby). When it comes to Arshavin I feel that when Cesc is not on the pitch he suffers the most as no one else except wilshere or rosicky are on the same wavelength as him. In the end 3 points is all that matters. Especially with Man United drawing. And whether Chelsea will win the league I believe that their an injury away to Drogba from winning the league to finishing third.

   What’s the point in Diaby running at defences from midfield if he hasn’t got the technique or nouse to put it to good use? If he ever learns to move the ball on quickly or make a telling pass he’ll be awsome. Good allround team performance today except for Arshavin who looked tired from the off.

    Why should chamakh stop going down so easy? Everyone else does it. Ronaldo did it all the time and united won trophies. And ther was contact just not hard enuf to make him fall over. I’m happy for fabianski and hope he keeps it up but no way he was motm, he did wat he had to do..no more no less. And diaby and chamakh have to shooooooot!..also might be time to start rosicky instead of arshavin

    Didnt see the game, but diaby often attracts undue hatred. He does a great job for the side, isn’t quite the complete central midfielder but is getting there.

    Sorry guys but diaby was very very good BUT slows us down going forward. he needs to pass earlier and they really all need to start taking long range shots out side the box. were missing out on goals because of this.

    I disagree with you Diaby was not are best player. Just because he can break a few tackles and get foward does not take away that defensively his is naive and on the offensive side his decision making is terrible…..Watch the game again and you will see that alot of our attacks ended with a misplaced pass by him or by him picking the wrong option.

    MOTM fabianski and diaby. Fab came for everything and his reaction at the end of the game said it all. He’s our no. 1 now. As for diary, everytime he got the ball in the oppo half in the first half we looked dangerous and our game accelerated. Can see why AW has faith in him. He always plays well with a run of games.

    Did not see the game. However as usual any English player ( Walcott) has a half decent game then they are rated as great. I like wilshire and I know he is a talent but we go overboard sometimes. Diaby ALWAYS slows down the play and is always indecisive – I now he is very talented but there is no-way he should be in our staring 11. Please can someone tell me why Rosicky is always in and out of the team – Rosicky has been one of our best players this season

    what a team!! that was a very disgraceful match from my point of view. we played the game like a primary school students. we don’t know when to pass the ball and when to shoot the ball. diaby was very disgraceful with his wrong decisions. The blues will always stay back to defend the passes knowing that our players were never going to shoot at goal. we lack ideas upfront, poor thinking and poor movement off the ball and on the ball.

    brum should be ashamed of themselves, only able to trouble that clown in goal and that ridiculous backline of wenger non-coached defense for one goal ? it’s even more shamefull given how much of an absolute tactical and defensive muppet wenger is, and the ineptitude of his defensive coaching. If I was the opposition manager, I’d be god-damned if I let wenger get away with playing that imbecilic, clownish impostor of a goal keeper and that ridiculous backline with zero defensive coaching against my team without at least forcing 2 howlers out of them and having them constantly under pressure and nervous. my god, it would seem to be the easiest task in the world to motivate an opposition team against wenger. My pre-match pep-talk prior to going out on the pitch would be simple: “Guys, you’re not really going to let wenger get away with playing that imbecile in goal and that ridiculously inept and uncoached defensive line against us are you guys? Just think of how much satisfaction and gratification you will get from exposing wenger. in affect, exposing wenger and wenger fc calls wenger out on all of his lying and deficiencies.” That is why I pull for the opposition in every match. Because the best way to get at wenger is to constantly expose his colossal lies.

    Wenger needs to get chamakh to practice one on ones to many times i have seen this guy miss these chances, today his 1st chance was an obvious near post finish which he tried far post, i am not taking the fact that he could be in 4 MOTM today away from him, his heading threat is no doubt a major benefit as well as scoring a one on one today, but i cant help think that if he improves on this area we will no doubt have a world class striker on our hands and be able to take our chances against teams like chealsea.

    my other point would be the wilshire challenge, now no doubt this is a red card but and as much as i would like to defend his nature, i have seen this kid tackle many times and he is not the best, the way he went in you can see he tries to slide and play a ball to eboue but the touch was too heavy, if you take a look at other tackles he has made he does the same but doesnt always catch players the way he did today, hopefully he can learn to tackle properly or we will have a scholes on our hands hopefully its just his hunger

    also hopefully Asharvin will be benched very soon in my eyes as well, i think he has it to easy as since he has been here he is always fit and therefore has no competition for his place, but no with players returning from injury every1′s place is up for grabs. when cesc comes back what happens to nasri or jack or diaby, the competition looks good for once, will be interesting to see who wenger starts on tues i think he will rest cesc for the citeih game but give walcot and nik a run out as we are home

    Diaby played very well today. He was strong on tackles, strong with the ball, held play. His release could have been better though. I am surprised that dispite his contribution gunners never give him credit. Arshavin has not played well for a long time but very few seem to notice. Rosicky has had a good start to the season. Once he starts scoring he willl get ahead of Arshavin immediately.

    Whats wrong with you people? Diaby did what was asked of him although some of you prefer he shoots, ball rebounds to a wrong player and we get caught on a counter right. He is my MOTM! All that was wrong with the match was Song always trying to be seen forcing Jack back who is more creative and him going forward on the breaks against, he was no where, for the goal against he was just standing in the box remember Chelsea’s first goalhe was walking again. Positionally he is so poor. Unless Wenger Benches him, this is just another frustrating season. Denilson is fresh atleast with him all players seem to come out of their shells lets play him to save this season.

    When I watch Arsenal play, I always like to hear the analysis from someone who doesn’t follow Arsenal. This is when you really know who plays well and who doesn’t. Today I heard how great Diaby, jack and Fab were from people who aren’t Arsenal fans. Then I see some tool writing what looks like a “copied and pasted” article from some other tool who wrote something about Diaby 3 years ago. Please cut the shit ppl. You really sound stupid when you criticize players who had a good game. Wenger said he Diaby had a great game but needs to improve his play in the final third. Enough said.     why is it when an arsenal player takes a tumble in the box it is considered a dive and when the likes of rooney does it. they say he anticipated the foul and went down to avoid collision and injury. chamakh is an outstanding player to get on a free. he was the one that dragged us out of a possible 0 points yesterday and deserves more than to be labeled a diver by his own fans. and ofcourse the wilshere tackle gets all the headlines but no one mentions the off the ball elbow he took to the face or carrs tackle on chamakh which was alot worse than wilsheres. but at least we are back to winning ways and even better we came back from being a goal down.

    Fabianski had a good game but not more then 7.0, i agree that diaby can slow the game down and holds on to the ball to long sometimes, but your criticism are really to harsh, we need a player that can hold on to the ball and cover it up like he does he just need to play more often to get in to the team, i really think he can be an asset to us if we play him.

    A lot of people are dissing Diaby for his inability to pick a pass whilst recognising his excellent technique. Here’s a thought, why not play him as a central striker? He’s a big lad who can go through people, instead of trying to pass if he just shot on sight of goal he would give us an option of a direct approach.

    I would like to think that those 3 would make up our midfield in the future. but that would mean playing Ramsay in the holding role.

    its a role which he can play, but he is much better suited to playing slightly higher up the pitch, as is Wilshire and Diaby.

    I know Wilshire is playing a deep lying playmaker role right now which he is good at, but he has always played a more attacking role for the youth and reserves.

    I’ve been criticaql of Diaby but today he was maginificent. The kid can play, no doubt. Arshavin looks disinterested. He cost us numerous chances today with sloppy lazy work. Amazing that I say this, but I miss Koscielny!!

    Decent win given the other results but lets not kid ourselves, we may well get found out again with the City game next week.

    Song has regressed to the player he was three years ago. He is running past the ball and is constantly tackling from the wrong side. Positionally, he is all over the place and the result is that our backline is totally exposed.

    With Tevez playing in the hole, we need the Song of last year turning up because without that we’ll likely to hit on the counter every time we go forward – pretty much like last year in fact!

    Aside from that it was nice to have the crowd behind Fabianski by the end of the game but the team looks lost without Fabregas and that doesn’t bode particularly well for next year…

    Fabianski showed the same indecisiveness as Almunia. On many occasions the defence looked for him to come and collect but he was still hovering on his goal line or eventually came out. Felt sorry for Diaby, although he broke well he was not supported by anyone else busting a gut to catch up with him and offer him some choice. He did well not to give the ball away. We look like we’re learning how to play with a bit more maturity.
