Wenger always comes out and blames something? the pitch, the ref, the international breaks, the fact we play on a Monday and didn’t have enough rest etc etc.

The players YOU have put together dont have the heart to win the title. Last season we blew it and this season again we are not taking advantage of other teams mistakes and we are just giving up without a fight.
Wenger refuses to accept that he is wrong! YES Arsene we needed quality players in the summer and you didn’t sign them. And when you did sign players they didn’t make us any better..You have replaced good players with average players on the cheap and you only have yourself to blame.

Wenger is under NO pressure to win trophies. His job is to keep the books in order & qualify for the Champions League. Arsenal has nothing to do with trophies and everything to do with accounting now.

Im not convinced? Szczency made a good save but that doesnt mean he had a good game. He was mildly at fault for the first goal for being too far off his line… he was out of position again in the second half and almost got chipped, and his distribution was extremely poor. Clichy shut down Nani well tonight for the most part… second half he did give it away but he was better than he was most other games. I have no idea how you have rated walcott so highly, he touched the ball twice, and once he dribbled it off his own leg and then kicked it out of bounds. Van persie isnt match fit and neither is Fabregas, but Wenger has got to play his best players at the moment and thats what he is doing. Song? Played well i thought — saved us on numerous occassions? Were we watch the same game? Everyones distribution and passing was poor tonight… we gave the ball away too much coming out of the back, were unable to retain possession, and didnt pass the ball creatively enough. But we playes with heart and enthusiasm, which is a step up from alot of other games.

Our defenders stood up, I believe the Bear made a good call, Szczesny will be BIG for Arsenal. We need a player like Lukaku for games like these, a striker that will terrorise the opponents defence.
They were excellent in defence and better than us in midfield, at least until rosicky and arshavin went off. Disappointing obviously but let’s stay there or thereabouts till the business end of the season before we flush perspective totally down the toilet.

When i saw the lineup i already had doubts about the game. I was surprised by the start of rosicky as well as wilshere in the middle. Why not playin nasri in the middle? Wilsheres performance was a 4 in

What a damp squid,after all the hypes dished out by AW recently. Winning or losing a big game is Ok if it was played with spirit and fight and the better team prevailed. Man U did not played that well,scoring with a freakish goal,but Arsenal was worst,could not string passes together for a lot of the times and slow like pedestrians. Only Song was in any spirit to melt out shackles to Evra. Overall it is a game you can forget about,there was hardly anything positive.

Arsenal looked completely beaten and they lacked ideas. But i really feel Wenger has to look at the tactics- its too predictable. He isn’t playing players in their natural position. First of all Nasri without Fab is the heart of the team so he should be in the middle pulling the strings instead of Rosicky who hasn’t done anything positive for us in 2years. The fact he’s acting captain says it all for our lack of leadership, and in all honesty Fabregas hasn’t been himself sinse last season. Arshavin for Russia and previously Zenit plays best in the hole behind the front man, weaving in and out looking for space. He’s probably one of the best players in the world at that- yet Arsene has him on the left wing cutting in which leaves a massive gap down the left exposing the defensively challenged Clichy when Arsh loses possesion, which is often recently- there’s no point playing Arsh unless you put him in a position to make his worldclass abilities count otherwise he’s a liability. Narsi was marked out the game on the other wing through little fault of his own. Chamakh for some reason instead of being an outlet kept tryin to collect the ball in midfield and being taken out leaving us with noone upfront. Either play your players in their best position or dont play them atall, Chamakh seemed entirely disinterested. Walcott needed to start to give Man u something to think about. Because atleast he would have stuck to being on the wings because Arsenal’s formation is ridiculously narrow that teams attack the space on either flank
But our main problem has always been a lack of defensive discipline and tactical awareness. Kos and Squillacci are dreadful together and none of them have a foggiest idea where they need to be positionally. And as decent a player as Song is, i don’t see him as a holding midfielder because he keeps pushing up. Our defending was farsical at times, and i really feel Wenger needs to take responsibility for this- we’re too easily beaten by good teams who know how to play against us. I know how to play against us for god sake, its that obvious so i’m pretty sure Sir Alex does! The tactics have to change its as simple as that.

I totally agree with this comment. So Evra was right in a way. We failed to prove him wrong. Can we now do something about it? Can someone close to Arsene Wenger advise him to act wisely by bringing in at least 2 solid defenders and a reliable central striker. At this rate we can never win the title.
