    i think the club overestimated the value of a new stadium.

    now every home game the team have to deal with a crowd where 50% of fans (the new people) demand to be entertained while sitting on their fat backsides scoffing snacks. no wonder our home record is crap. the atmosphere is poison.

    the team needs players with massive personalities who bring the crowd onside. too many of our current team are meek passengers with no relationship with the crowd.

    you say the ref was shite yet you blame the manager… Should wenger get in and ref the game? Lets be realistic here 3 decisions that could hae won us the game went agaist us today… Even the ‘Mighty’ chapions have hardly been perfect. Decisions that went against us today and indeed in many games this season never go against them. Fact is, it is much easier 4 the manc as they always get favourable decisions. Compare the pen ManU were givenbm yesterday to one we were denied today. The newcastle game is talked about to show how inept our defence is yet conviniently forget to talk about bartons takle on Diaby that led to his over reactio that went unpurnished. Our keeper was ,manhandled and no action was taken. Two soft penalties were awarded to newcastle. That i sthe real story of the game.

    Remember the players are human these things frustrate them.

    Let Wenger be he is doing great in the circumstances

    In today’s footballing world you need top people to run a team like Arsenal. You need to spend some money (3 million for squillaci ain’t going to do it). You also need some realism form the manager. Beautiful football is great but if it does not win you anything, then its no good. Right now Wenger is in jeapordy of loosing his legacy, and all the years of hard work which had put in. I think if they had brought in 1 quality player in each of the last 3 years, thngs would have been very different today. It could very well be that time has passed Mr. Wenger by, and his style is a thing of the past. If you can’t keep up with time, you are going to become obsolete.
    All the teams in the Premier League have now figered Arsenal out. All they need to do is defend with 8 players, and hit us on a counter attack. They score 2 goals, and that is not something you can come back from in this league. To make this system work you need the talent of Barcelona, which Arsenal definetly do not have.

    I’ve finally decided that I want Wenger gone. For the sole reason that I am just bored. I’m bored of the same old interviews, the same old words, the same style of football and the same old passionless players. I think I’ve only enjoyed three home games all season. The pundits and journalists say we play the best football but it’s just not true. Our football is one dimensional and has become very easy to defend against. It’s not exciting, it’s not dynamic. What happened to the powerful, athletic players? The lethal counter attacking football? The win at all costs spirit? I don’t understand why the manager has strayed away from the style that won us trophies.

    Why did he sell two experienced winners who are now playing for other Premiership teams? Vieira and Pires would still offer this team so much? Why is Vieira winning the FA Cup with Man City? He scored the final penalty to win us our last trophy. It annoys me that he’s now winning at a rival Premiership team. And we’re going to come fourth? Just because the players don’t have the balls to step up and win important games. What more incentive do they need? They had the title in their own hands?

    Jesus I’m as p*ssed off as everyone else, going from fighting for 1st to be sulking in 3rd and potentially even 4th just isn’t good enough. But hang on where in the rule books does it say that Arsenal must have constant success? Easy to blame the manager and he has cleary got plenty wrong, but the crux of the matter is the lack of pride and apathy within some of the players and NO manager can resolve a poor attitude – Wenger for christ sake dump the culprits.

    Wenger had a winning team with the likes of Viera and Petit – who? He made Freddie, Thierry, Robert, …………. the man is a builder and a winner. With 125years of history I’m quite prepared to give him another season. ‘the best things in life come to those who wait’, I’m 46 and I can wait another year.

    I’m tired of the anti-Wenger rants. We wouldn’t have played 4 competitions with our first team and worn out the players if we weren’t trying to appease the moaners with the meaningless CC trophy. Supporters from other teams get behind their team and manager, and I think it makes a difference. I was ashamed with the booing, and in all the other games. No other team would finish 3rd or 4th in the League, qualify for the 16th straight season for CL, almost beat Barca in the CL, and narrowly lose the CC and get this pathetic support. I believe our supporters attitude rubs off on the players. It is they that need to go.

    I’d say second half performance was inspirational, considering the score, zero confidence, sold-out ref, crowd frustration and the ever-elusive lady-luck. What strikes me the most, though, is the fact that Arsenal have announced ticket price increase before the end of this dreadful season. They could’ve or, perhaps, should’ve made that public after a decent signing in the summer (provided there will be one). But today I feel for those gooners that were at the game. It’s like every Arse fan received a famous Archie slap personally from the man himself. As far as I’m concerned, there’s always another season and I”m good at waiting. God bless the Great Arse.

    How long can the club ignore the fans frustration. Hearing the crowd singing “6% your having a laugh” which has been picked up by the media already is an embarrassment for the club. I am 100% sure Cesc will be gone in the summer and the morale among the fans will be at an all time low in the Wenger era. If he doesn’t spend big this summer I expect us to fail next season and for AW to walk away in June 2012.

    I have always been a big Wenger fan, even this year I thought we was doing so well then from no where they lost their way.

    This is the last chance now for Wenger, He has done wonders for us but he is becoming a joke, chucking bottles, not shaking other managers hands… FFS, you always shake other managers hands!!!

    I have no doubt that Wenger has passion and loves Arsenal – IE the chucking bottles etc.

    For his own good if he cannot be honest to himself at least and admit the youth policy is not working then we have no chance, youth policy does work, but only when combined with experienced players that can show them how the game is played, and how to keep there heads in the heat of the moment.

    Don’t get me wrong we get the 10 men behind the ball tactics from every team we play, it’s like Bill Murray’s ground hog day watching teams put one man up front and punt the ball up field, BUT Wenger should know this by now and be able to deal with it but this CRAP 4,5,1 tactic is not working.

    ahh bollox…….. like I said this summer is his last chance in my opinion to put this right, I have always been a big big wenger fan but tis getting stupid now watching the same shit every season!!!

    Wenger is the best manager Arsenal have had since I can remember. There are few as good as him in the EPL. However he refuses to sign really good (expensive) players. eg. Bendtner would only make the Arsenal team. No other top six team would even have him on the bench. Same as Diaby. Gone are the days of experienced players in your team. Go back to your winning years and study the players……some really good experienced players there. Wenger does not sign that type of player for a reason…your stadium is costing you trophies. Perhaps he is given too much control at the club. Wenger should coach and be given money to spend. Perhaps he has incentives to nurture youth which ultimately will pay off the stadium quicker. You will not get a better manager in a hurry, unfortunately for you Arsenal supporters he has financial limitations.

    Wenger knows full well what he needs to do to win the league or cups, he’s done it so many times before, but he refuses to go back to his winning ways.     the reason we are all so pissed off, is the fact that this team is better than manure, it is true like someone else posted reverse the refs decisions between man utd and arsenal in all games this season and arsenal would have won the title no doubt about it, but in saying that if wenger had to buy even 2 key players namely defenders, the refs useless performances throughout the season would not have mattered, and if wenger had to change his tatics and get his team back to playing in a more direct fashion like his earlier teams did and actually take on a few shots we would have won with daylight between us and the rest. ihe does need to get rid of a few players aswell the likes of denilson almunia etc have no bussiness being at a club like arsenal, its really hard to watch arsenal play now, they bear no resemblance to wengers earlier teams, this tippy tappy slow build up play coupled with horrendous defending is the things of nightmares. what we do have to remember is that ferguson has the luxury to spend any money he wants, in the summer he signed a player for 11 mill that neither he or any of his staff at utd had seen play.

    Yes, it is impossible to defend a number of things Arsene has done, failing to strengthen the squad when needed, for instance. But I think anti-Arsenal media bias and blatantly dishonest refereeing has also played a great role this season. One contributor has mentioned New Castle game, but the list is much longer. Just check the stats of games that Phil Dowd was officiating and you’ll see what I mean. Remember Arshawin’s disallowed goal against Sunderland! I firmly believe that there are a few influential people, especially referees, who’d never allow Arsenal claim the EPL crown.     I also believe that Aston Villa didn’t beat us. Referee did.

    Wenger is coward. He’d never speak out against dishonest referees. I wish we had someone like Murhino in charge ofour club who has the courage to tell the world what is obvious.
