   It seems to be happening again. I can see it:

   1. Blackburn wont accept our offer for Samba as he has just signed a 5yr contract and Wenger wont pay more.

   2. He will not pay the money for Cahill as he is in his last year of contract, watching him go to liverpool or Tottenham.

   3. We will buy a load of players from the French league, all being flops like Squillaci or Cygan.

   Probably wont get Nasri to sign a new contract or leave, which means he will leave on a free next season.

   The writting is on the wall because Wenger does not know what is market rate these days.

And Gervinho isn’t fucking mediocre you fucking plank, he’s played a much bigger role in Lille’s championship than Hazard just compare their stats, the only reason he’s cheaper is because there’s only one year left on his contract.    I think all the fans know that we won’t buy big as Glazidis and Wenger suggest, they’re afriad to spend money on decent players so like the previous contributor we’ll end up with rubbish as usual or buy some more youngsters who are barely out of nappies plus we’ll keep the dross we have at present to save more money, then when we win a couple of games Wenger will come out and say the team have grown up. I would like to have the youth serum they’re given because they’ve been a young team for a few years now and never seem to age!

    I’m extremely frustrated by the way AFC allows Wenger to go about the way he handle the club like it’s his personal business. I have already accepted the fact that if he don’t correct our six year problems we will comfortably placed 7th this season, because cahill & samba should have done medical already and we are now looking for a first choice defensive midfielder (D Rossi or Inler) and a center forward who can score 20+ premier league goals, other than this its impossible to win the league with every other team strengthening.

    i agree totally. Where is the ambition? We used to be title favourites. We are not even contenders anymore. TYPICAL WENGER DRAGGING HIS FEET!!! We are desperate for a big signing to lift the players and most importantly the fans. I have lost alot of faith in arsene wenger. How the hell can manchester united be buying players before us? They do not even need ashley young and phil jones. We should of bought them!! Players like gervinho and sakho are talented but we need BRITISH PLAYERS or at least premier league players.     There is no coincidence that ferguson tried to buy ramsey in 2009 and has since bought smalling, phil jones and ashley young. Its the british players that win you the trophies in this country. ONLY a team like this current arsenal could of flopped in the CC Final like that.

    Lol. Gervinho’s average (which I’m sure is based on careful scouting of his games), but ashley young is what? some kind of world-beater? He plays well for a few games each season, that’s it!
    Also, Utd haven’t even signed him yet! Why are you complaining that Utd are making signings and we aren’t when they’ve only signed a good young CB. We have signed a young defender, and both clubs are apparently on the verge of signing an attacking wide-player. We’re in about the same position.
    Wenger is sleeping!? What the fuck do you know?! If you believe everything in the press, he’s very busy, but is apparently not looking to get ripped off.
    Every season we sign a couple of players at least, but because they don’t all cost £30m plus each, idiots seem to discard them as insignificant.
    Seriously, I don’t get it. If you want tonnes of expensive signings just to keep you dreaming through the summer, I really don’t see why you persist in supporting arsenal. The position of the club has always been the same – financial responsibility comes first. Why would we go around spending 30m on players when we can’t afford it. They COULD turn out like tevez or suarez, or they could turn out like dzeko – who would have thought he would have done so poorly?
    And I’m not saying there are no legitimate criticisms to be made of the way the club is run, but this is ridiculous and it’s getting really old.

    Wenger is frightened to buy the big players, big players have to be managed and I don’t think that Wenger can do this anymore.

    Younger and up and coming players are easier to manage. Plus if he does buy big and they don’t play well in the team, people would be after his head, its the easy life for Wenger, I said it on Arsenal TV and Tom Watt disagreed, but now more and more fans agree with what I said.

    The difference from then to now is that we are 18 months on and still getting knowhere.

    Even my wife could tell where the problems areas of the team are, but for some reason Wenger dosn’t want to address the problems. Even now he is arguing over fees and looking at 2nd rate players.

    It is time for a change !

    its not about who we sign even if we sign benzema, messi,samba,given……….etc…we will not win a trophy under wenger because they guy has lost his touch. He thinks finishing second for the next 20years should be acceptable. Now fourth place is a trophy, and he doesn’t see any problem with the current teams attitude and desire??? And he also can not be trusted to make good signing with his obessiastion with kids.

    Its all well and good you lot f-ing and blinding but the fact is we NEED to sign some big players and big players are not cheap. The time has gone buying players on the cheap and hoping they become superstars. Most people who watch football knew dzeko was a gamble, andy caroll is a gamble, even torres’s transfer to chelsea is a gamble. But benzema,cahill,samba,and mata are no gambles. They would go STRAIGHT into the arsenal starting line up. They would need no settling in and would make a major difference.
    We arsenal fans are NOT spoilt, we just want value for our money!!!!!!

    even if we signed wenger will make them look average, look what he has done to arshavin we couldn’t even use him properly, lokk at cesc…….how long does it took for nasir to have a decent half season, how could u keep almunia,denilson,bendtner, eboue,rosiky for this long with a very over priced sallieries and extend there contracts every year…..how could we always experiance a major collapse since march for four seasons in a row.
    Who is wenger responsible too, what is the ambition of the club is it to finish fourth every year?
    This questions needed to be answered. Wenger is not the man for arsenal he should leave.

    Fellow Gunners the writer of the above piece is 100% correct and it is very frustrating to note that Mr Wenger is not willing to change his approach thereby making mockery of us fans.

    He feels that he is Mr know it all, but I can assure you that his days as the manager of AFC are numbered if he fails to strengthen the team with world class quality players this time around, because you can see that most of those top teams have already started beefing up their squad awaiting the forth coming season while Wenger is there playing his usual stupid games with us all, as that may end the club not qualifying for the CL next season.

    We were told by some section of the media that AFC has agreed to meet the buy out clause of Falcao, but surprisingly till date nothing has been heard of that deal and I am very sure that he will be heading to Chelsea now that his former coach is now at Chelsea, when will this embarrassment stop?.

    Wenger is always spotting quality players but will end up loosing them for other serious minded managers and without shame he will be telling whoever that cares to listen that he was almost buying player A or B but lost out because of money and everyday and night we hear that AFC has money to buy any quality player but in the real sense of it the board and Wenger are just making jest of the fans it is rather very disheartening, lets wait and see if Wenger will prove me wrong this time around.

    @nick…………….who do u support wenger or arsenal. Every body is entitled to have an opinion. So most of us arsenal fans are entitled to be dissapointed with what we seen in the transfer so far, other big clubs are buying players early, we should be doning the same. Only three weeks are left before perseason tranning starts and if you look at the season fixtures we have a very difficult games in augest and september coupled with clplayoff. So sining the required players early and having them for pre season will only help arsenal. But as usual wenger will look only for last ditch signings in augest and will only sign average players.

    If we do sign anyone it won’t be above £15m. Wenger wants to tie up existing players he wants to keep first before he signs anyone, plus he ways to sell the deadwood. It’s ironic that wenger won’t pay above the odds for a player, but insists on receiving top dollar for the players he wishes to sell. Cesc will go if he can sign the replacement from schalke. But come the new season we will have received more money into the club on transfer fees if players sold this summer than we spend this summer. If we were to sign samba or Cahill it would have happened. It will be the usual cheap young players we will buy from Europe or Africa and maybe south America. If we start the season badly due to poor or no signings. The fans should insist wenger goes, vocally from the stands and in the press.

    You are right on in your assessment of the situation at Arsenal come Transfer Window time the past few seasons. Rather than making timely strategic moves to help his young teams address obvious deficiencies Arsene stubbornly refuses to do so. He has become so set in his ways, so stubborn, so pedantic and so oblivious to anyones viewpoint other than his own that he is frustrating and demoralizing his players, the Arsenal faithful and, I suspect, his management.

    His arrogance has alienated the management of other Premier league teams and made it almost impossible now for Arsenal to craft trades for players any longer. No one in the Premier league and some European teams want to deal with Arsene and his arrogance any longer. On possible deals he is being forced to either pay over the top for a player which he never wants to do or not do a deal and pass on the player. The longer he drags out a negotiation the tougher the position of the other party becomes. It has become almost impossible for Arsenal to do a deal of any nature for above average, experienced players as a direct result of Arsenes negotiating tactics and his refusal to pay for proven performers. He knows what the right price is for the other teams player and the selling teams management are incompetant if they do not recognize this… We have already missed out on many above average players who would have helped our team immensely in seasons past.

    IT IS SO FRUSTRATING to be an Arsenal supporter and watch Arsene continue to be “penny wise and pound foolish” transfer window after transfer window. Arsene has become a classic example of an older man who has become so set in his ways that he appears unable to change in spite of his best intentions.

    Our ManU competitor is the exact opposite to Arsene. He and his organization identify team requirements, identify the best candidates for the requirement and then do a deal in a prompt, efficient manner. No dragged out haggling if possible. No allowing a small issue to become a major deal breaker.
    If they believe the player is right for the team they will not allow money to become the deal breaker unless it is simply too excessive. Arsene will lose a deal for the sake of a $ 100 and antagonize the management of the other team to the point where future deal making for the Arsenal organization with the other team is seriously jeapordized.

    Our team is at a crossroads this summer. The Board have allowed this situation to continue for far to long without taking any corrective action. The result, Arsenal players have lost faith with team management, other teams have lost respect for our organization, players on other teams have lost respect for the Arsenal name and its management and worst of all, the majority of Arsenal supporters have lost faith with team mangement and the Board.

    In any company, a situation that has deteriorated to this degree cries out for corrective actions… When star players like Samir, Cesc and if nothing changes, Robin and even Jack, will reconsider their futures with our team. When empty seats begin to appear for home games and season ticket renewals begin to slump along with our position in the Premier league the time for proactive Board action has passed.

    The warning signs are all there and hard decisions must be taken. The actions required will be even more difficult if the Board continues to dither and operate on a hope and a prayer basis.

    Dont get too hung up on Gervinho, he’s another “2 dozen chances to score one” merchant who only wants to put himself in the shop window. I have watched this fella and he is not worth anywhere near 10 mil.

    Wenger is still in 2001 and under the impression top stars will sign for the gunners because of him and not the salary. He needs to get in the real world (and preferably collect his coat). Wenger has lost his v..v.. vroom and he is not the “pull” he once was.
    As each day passes we are losing the opportunity to get a player in and have them for pre season, it will be the same old same old putting in derisory offers for players 45 minutes before the transfer deadline. FFS HOW MUCH LONGER DO WE HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS SHIT???
    How long before he sets eboue, bendtner, diaby, denilson, rosicky free? At this rate they will all be available for pre season and when they put on a performance against a Malaysian XI he will decide to keep them for another year!
    And finally, when the media keep spouting that “most fans dont want wenger to go but just spend”,
    are they refering to the junior Gunners because any sane person over the age of 30 know this man has had his time and we need a new direction, The experiment with midgets hasnt worked!

    The last couple of seasons ive had to put up with spurs more than once at home and away in CC cup. ive had to endure the birmingham match as well as newcastle amongst others this season and what about our limp performances in champs league for the last three years?
