Walcott isn't ready, and probably never will be.

I'm starting to think that aswell, for Theo it's always "one step forward......2 steps back" Whenever he shows quality and say scores in 2 games in a row, he gets injured for a week or 2 and loses all his momentum. According to those Arsenal.com statistics, in 22 games, he's scored 2 and set up 2 which quiet frankly, poor

I think that is because Theo isn't a natural winger, he is playing out of position. Crossing isn't his strong point so not going to get many assists in that department, and he needs to play more central to utilise his pace so he can score more goals. Micheal Owen would be wasted on the wing aswell.

True, but whenever Theo was played as a Striker like Henry, he doesn't show composure in front of goal on a weekly basis. Take the Villareal game for example, I'm not sure if he played striker or winger but, he scores a great goal by chipping cooly over the keeper after a one-on-one.
But then the Stoke game, lesser oppostion and when faced with a simple on the plate goal after going one on one, he misses. He's so frustrating

Reminds me of Robin Van Persie. He is really inconsistent too. Has one good game then a bad one, but Wenger still plays him upfront. I can't see Theo doing any worse then him, and probably after time when he adapts to being upfront he will be lethal.

We all have seen how the boy can finish & as you said Reddaz Rvp is inconsistent, so why not give Theo his chance? He is still young & improving & lets not forget Wrighty was a late starter

FINALLY, people unafraid to critisize RVP. For some reason, he's above anything that Ade, bendtner and Theo are subject to simply because he's our 'best stiker'. His work rate last yer was, at times, as poor as Ade's (Although he does play when it counts) and this, his best season, is 10 goals short of what Ade got last year

Yeah m8 i know that although i like Rvp he is more of a luxury player than a worker. To that sort of thing he is similair to DB10 EXCEPT that DB10 could turn it on more consistentley

Excatly! Also, remember when he was saying that when he was offered a new contract he need to know that we had the ability to win trophies, and that if we couldn't win them he'd leave? Well when the big BIG games come, like Man United in the CL semi final and Chelsea in the FA Cup semi final he was COMPLETELY invisible (Apart from the consolation penalty)

A lot of people totally underestimate the importance of character in a footballer, especially a footballer who is leading the line for Arsenal Football Club.

Despite Theo Walcott being young, and irrefutably having time to improve as a player quality-wise, his character has been revealed, and I don't think he has what it takes to play for us up front on a regular basis.

Look at Rooney, for example, at the age of 16, even at Everton, is character shone through, even when he was playing poorly. Walcott doesn't have that attribute in his locker.
