Arsenal are apparently close to agreeing a £5million deal for Southampton youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
When asked today if Arsenal will be signing him Wenger said
“I cannot speak about that,” said the manager. “If we go any further with any player, we will inform you.
“The rest will be speculation -- one day this player goes to Chelsea, one day to Man United, one day to Liverpool and one day to Arsenal.
“We are not close to signing anybody at the moment.”

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is very quality young football and Wenger can provide quality football education and his progress can surely look towards Theo Walcott as a very good model example.
