   Seriously? Your calendar is least 2 weeks ahead of mine. Even in the worst-case scenario, you cannot assume Arsene going into season w/ 3 CBs. That, my friend, won’t happen. I will come back in 2 weeks and check your predictions.

   And manchester City will struggle with Europe and the league. They both had the Premier League as thier only target last year and couldn’t finish above us.

   Arsenal will finish top 3 again, we need a keeper and CB to win the title, but without them won’t put us 6th. That puts nothing between 1st and 5th but two players. Get a grip.

    Yes the transfer window is open till the end of Aug BUT this season STARTS this wkend. This should have been sorted weeks ago. Give the new players time to work as a unit

    Check the rest of our competitors. Man City aside, no-one has really signed anyone of note. Spurs have signed some unknown, Man United have signed Hernandez….that’s about it. Oh, and Chelsea signed Ramires. Colour me terrified.

    Reckon this is going to be a very difficult one to call – given most of the WC players will be under-done at first. Is your pessimism about us justified- and your optimism about the others being better?

    We have more firepower- the boy wonder is stronger as is Cesc. Is Walcott worse than last year? We have the same keepers plus Chesney- Almunia is Ok against all but the best. Is the defence that much worse without Gallas- given that Gibbs and Djourou are back? I cant think of a single defence that forward line is going to struggle against- and I didnt think that last year. It might not happen immediately- but when it does-its going to be good. Remember we averaged over 2 goals a game when RVP was fit last year- we now have areal CF in addition to him.

    If we defend like we did against Legia every week we wont be 7th we will be struggling to get into the top 10. But we wont. We do need a Centreback and ideally a defensive mid and top Keeper and then we could be champions.

    No we will be better than you expect- but probably not at first.

    We have not made up any ground on either United or Chelsea from last year. We also have Spurs and Man City competing for our coveted 4th position.

    I think the league will look something like:

    1) Chelsea
    2) Man United
    3) Man City
    4) Arsenal
    5) Spurs
    6) Liverpool

    I think we are going to be 20 points behind the leaders and only a few points ahead of Spurs.
    Liverpool are in s*it street still and I doubt they will finish above us.

    Lets face it guys, Wenger is not going to buy anyone else…and when I mean anyone I mean no recognised players are going to come in. If saphic or whatever the hell his name is comes in then say goodbye to any hopes of winning anything!!!!!     Mark my words if a new CB, GK do not come in, and with the premier league in its most difficult season in a long long time, we’ll find it hard to qualify for champs league and end up with liverpool in 7th or 8th position.

    There is no doubt in my mind, that if we fail to buy another goalkeeper and a CB we will not make the top 4. The squad has weakened from last year, as much to do with confidence of some players (aAlmunia etc) as it is the loss of players.

    Our GK are no where near good enough, they cost as between 5 and 10 goals a season, indirectly and oretcly, the defence appears to have no confidence in any of them, they are shakey as it is…… Hell!!!

    But….. If we buy at least a top goalkeeper and one top CB we could push for the title (assuming Fab, RVP, Vermaelan stay fit for most of the season). if we dont, here’s my prediction;
    1) Man United
    2) Man City
    3) Chelsea
    4) Liverpool
    5) Arsenal
    6) Spurs

    If we do get teh two new top players, here’s my prediction:
    1) Man United
    2) Arsenal
    3) Man City
    4) Chelsea
    5) Liverpool
    6) Spurs

    What a bunch of brainwashed followers!. Why are you slating someone for having an opinion?. I seriously doubt that YOU MAJORITY commentators know what you are talking about. Whether it is a money issue or not, Wenger has shot himself in the foot so many times it cant be coincidence. We need a star striker. We have not had one since Adebayor. Bendtner is not the answer. He has been allowed to masquerade as a star striker but in reality is not fit to lace Adebayors boots. We could have taken the original Ronaldo a few seasons ago for peanuts, but didn’t go in for him for fear he was overweight. What happens?. He goes back to Brazil & top scores as his team takes the Brazilian title. We could have had Drogba & Cristiano before they went to our rivals. When Anelka came back on the scene, we could have had him back. He is Thierry Henry’s best friend, & he would have got the best out of him. Instead?, he bounces around the premiership before eventually winning another title at our London rivals Chelsea. We let Ashley go for 5k. 5k?. He hasn’t stopped smiling or winning FA cups, Charity Shields & Premierships since. So much for our fans trying to rile him with chants of him being a greedy so & so. Why cant Jay Simpson be given a chance?. Why have we lost the like of Bentley who was touted as the next Bergkamp. Look at how well Ashley Young is doing at Villa. Now he may end up at our dreaded rivals?. Whats wrong with Wenger & English players?. What legacy will be left when he leaves?. We could have had a bully like Carlton Cole for peanuts. We could have had Jermaine Defoe when West Ham were relegated. They only wanted 7mil. If he can score that much for Spurs, how much would he have scored for us?. Heck, I would have taken players like Peter Crouch, DJ Campbell, Jason Roberts or even the ex-Leeds player Jermaine Beckford who’s now at Everton. If Wenger doesn’t wake up this season, we aren’t going anywhere. I believe Wenger took a lot of credit which should really belong to George Graham, as that back 4,5 or 6 was his. What we need are young English lads who wont go home without a care the next time Man U whup us 6-0!. If you don’t believe me, watch neutrally our losses this season & pretend you are a Spurs fan & you will understand that the buck stops with Wenger.

    It’s embarrassing that we have supporters like Ron Silver that thinks Adebayor is a striker (his miss ratio was even worse than Bendtners – which is poor), or that the Brazilian league is in any way comparable to the premiership, or cannot understand that as a kid christiano turned us down to go to manure (we didn’t turn him down), Or that Bentleys ego got in the way of him becoming a good players so we got rid of him before others understood it. Ron Silver your sport should really be rugby as you don’t seem to have a clue about football.
